:00:11. > :00:17.Bonfires across Belfast are to inspected in the wake
:00:18. > :00:19.of injuries sustained by a nine-year-old schoolboy
:00:20. > :00:23.The inspections will focus on any chemicals that may pose
:00:24. > :00:36.Cameron Dixon's condition improved overnight. He is now off a
:00:37. > :00:41.ventilator. He still needs round-the-clock treatment. At the
:00:42. > :00:45.weekend he inhaled fumes from chemicals dumped near this bonfire
:00:46. > :00:52.site near the Shankill Road. A local community worker said the bonfire
:00:53. > :00:56.was not the cause of the problem. Unfortunately there are people that
:00:57. > :01:01.come and fly-tip. We had an incident last year where asbestos was left on
:01:02. > :01:06.site. Our experience has been at the bonfires are becoming more
:01:07. > :01:09.responsible. They certainly do not want an incident where people are
:01:10. > :01:14.dumping materials which could be dangerous. And scaring young people
:01:15. > :01:19.around them. Many other bonfires are in the city and they face the same
:01:20. > :01:23.potential problem. The city council has decided to take action.
:01:24. > :01:28.Inspections will be carried out at all bonfires across Belfast, to see
:01:29. > :01:32.if there is any toxic material. It is a big job and the police might
:01:33. > :01:35.also get involved, but the council said it is necessary and in the
:01:36. > :01:42.interests of health and safety. A post mortem examination is due
:01:43. > :01:45.to be carried out on a baby girl who died in Dundrum
:01:46. > :01:47.in County Tipperary yesterday. The Gardai have described
:01:48. > :01:49.what happened as a personal tragedy. Seven-month-old Chloe Fogarty -
:01:50. > :01:52.was the only child of Paul It appears the father
:01:53. > :01:56.was taking his baby to a creche, but somehow got distracted
:01:57. > :01:58.and the infant was left Prayers have been said today
:01:59. > :02:15.in the family's local church. Heartbroken for the family.
:02:16. > :02:22.Devastating such a tragedy would happen soon such nice decent people.
:02:23. > :02:27.The community will support him. -- happen to such nice decent people.
:02:28. > :02:30.A campaign group has been meeting politicians at Belfast City Hall
:02:31. > :02:32.to highlight inequalities in the state pension for women.
:02:33. > :02:34.Tens of thousands of women in Northern Ireland are affected
:02:35. > :02:36.by the changes which were introduced in recent years.
:02:37. > :02:42.Our Reporter Kevin Sharkey is at the City Hall.
:02:43. > :02:49.This campaign has gone on for four years. It affects 77,000 women
:02:50. > :02:55.across Northern Ireland. What is the problem? The problem is in 1995 the
:02:56. > :03:03.government wanted to equalise men and women in the pension age. They
:03:04. > :03:08.introduced a timetable, a state pension timetable, which was very
:03:09. > :03:14.steep. Then they escalated it in 2011. Which now means some women
:03:15. > :03:20.have to wait up to six years for their state pension. And they are
:03:21. > :03:23.losing out badly. And this is about personal stories and personal
:03:24. > :03:29.experiences. Shelley, what has been the experience for you? Many women
:03:30. > :03:33.like myself have had help issues all their lives and just as we reach 60
:03:34. > :03:38.and think life gets a bit easier, the gamut has told us we have to
:03:39. > :03:42.work another six years. With a loss of possibly up to ?48,000. What
:03:43. > :03:47.difference is it making for you in your life? I should have got my
:03:48. > :03:52.pension at 60. I have been caught in the acceleration. 63 years and seven
:03:53. > :03:59.months and that means a ?30,000 to me. There are anomalies around these
:04:00. > :04:03.particular acts which needs to be investigated by everybody expecting
:04:04. > :04:06.their pensions. And as part of the ongoing campaign, another protest is
:04:07. > :04:09.being held in the North West this afternoon. Kevin Sharkey reporting
:04:10. > :04:14.from Belfast city centre. A couple have gone to the High Court
:04:15. > :04:17.to demand legal recognition Their lawyers say pagans and other
:04:18. > :04:21.religious groups enjoy such privilege in Northern Ireland,
:04:22. > :04:23.but humanists do not. The case has been taken
:04:24. > :04:26.by Laura Lacole who is a model and Eunan O'Kane, who's
:04:27. > :04:28.a professional footballer with Leeds Gaelic football now -
:04:29. > :04:33.and Derry will host Tyrone this Sunday in the Ulster Championship
:04:34. > :04:36.quarter-final. They met at the same stage last
:04:37. > :04:40.year with the result an emphatic win for Tyrone,
:04:41. > :04:53.but their manager is not expecting We approach it with great caution,
:04:54. > :04:56.for sure. Certainly we would know last year Derry did not expect to
:04:57. > :05:02.have as bad a first half as they had. We caught them on the hop and
:05:03. > :05:06.it was fairly sewed up at half-time. That will not be the case. Do not
:05:07. > :05:11.think about what happened at Celtic Park last May. Think of what
:05:12. > :05:15.happened when they progressed and Derry were in a better place and
:05:16. > :05:18.that result reflected upon them. Tactics will play a big part.
:05:19. > :05:23.Physical preparation will play a massive part, as well. We are
:05:24. > :05:26.probably playing with a smaller pool of players than them. They have a
:05:27. > :05:29.proven track record. We would like to have one similar, but we haven't.
:05:30. > :05:34.Therein lies the challenge. Derry City are back
:05:35. > :05:36.in action this evening with an away game in Drogheda
:05:37. > :05:39.in the Airtricity Premier League. The Candystripes, who are
:05:40. > :05:41.fourth in the table, But they've drawn
:05:42. > :05:43.six of those games. And the City boss wants his side to
:05:44. > :05:47.be more clinical in front of goal. Our North West reporter
:05:48. > :05:58.Keiron Tourish has more. Manager Kenny Shiels says his young
:05:59. > :06:01.players are progressing well this season. But they need an extra edge
:06:02. > :06:06.to secure maximum points when they are there for the taking. The
:06:07. > :06:10.Candystripes are undefeated in eight matches but have drawn six of them
:06:11. > :06:14.and secured two wins, leaving them forth. The city boss would like his
:06:15. > :06:22.side to be more clinical like this in front of goal. As we grow these
:06:23. > :06:25.young players will get better. And the appreciation from support to see
:06:26. > :06:30.what they are seeing must be encouraging for the supporters to
:06:31. > :06:34.see the boys working so hard for the badge, for the city, for the club.
:06:35. > :06:39.At the end of the day that is what football was about, for your
:06:40. > :06:45.community. You can see that energy within the performances. Kenny says
:06:46. > :06:47.the clear challenge is to keep the momentum going and to get back to
:06:48. > :07:02.winning games. Enjoy the lovely sunshine while it
:07:03. > :07:06.lasts. Now the weather. It is a glorious day but it will not last
:07:07. > :07:10.over the weekend. In fact it is all change going through today. Plenty
:07:11. > :07:13.of dry and sunny weather but if you are travelling today you might
:07:14. > :07:19.notice these blogs coming in from the Atlantic, some heavy downpours
:07:20. > :07:22.coming our way, and we could have thunder and lightning in County
:07:23. > :07:26.Fermanagh and County Tyrone. A weather warning has been issued for
:07:27. > :07:29.that. It could be noisy in parts of the West. Further east, a fine
:07:30. > :07:34.evening, holding onto plenty of sunshine. Temperature is already up
:07:35. > :07:40.to 25 degrees. As a result it will be another mild night. Temperatures
:07:41. > :07:44.likely to stay at 14 or 15 degrees. Going into tomorrow, it is all going
:07:45. > :07:47.to change for all of us. More unsettled conditions coming our way.
:07:48. > :07:53.Some heavy thundery downpours. Noticeably cooler, as well. Tomorrow
:07:54. > :07:56.we have a weather warning issued across the board, for heavy hand
:07:57. > :08:02.thundery downpours which might lead to localised flooding as this goes
:08:03. > :08:05.north across all parts. Not wall-to-wall rain. Some dryness in
:08:06. > :08:08.between but plenty of cloud and maybe a gap in sunshine lifting
:08:09. > :08:14.temperatures to 20 degrees. Typically 15 or 16. Most of the
:08:15. > :08:19.unsettled weather clears tomorrow evening, leaving behind a much drier
:08:20. > :08:22.picture on Sunday. But a loss of cloud on Sunday and temperatures for
:08:23. > :08:30.some of us are well back at 30 degrees maybe in the north-west and
:08:31. > :08:34.here today, up to 25. -- 13 degrees. Monday and introduce day, a lot of
:08:35. > :08:35.dry weather, with sunshine but a lot of cloud. At least the temperatures
:08:36. > :08:41.will be normal for the time of year. Bonfires across Belfast are to be
:08:42. > :08:46.inspected in the wake of injuries sustained by a nine-year-old
:08:47. > :08:47.schoolboy near a bonfire The inspections will focus on any
:08:48. > :09:01.chemicals that may pose A postmortem will be carried out on
:09:02. > :09:06.a seven-month-old baby, who died after being unconscious in a car in
:09:07. > :09:10.County Tipperary. It appears the father was taking his baby to a
:09:11. > :09:16.crash but somehow got distracted. The infant was left in the car for
:09:17. > :09:20.several hours. A campaign group has had a meeting at a Belfast City Hall
:09:21. > :09:24.to complain about changes in the state pension for women. It is
:09:25. > :09:31.claimed tens of thousands of women have lost money because of changes
:09:32. > :09:35.introduced in recent years. A couple have gone to the High Court to
:09:36. > :09:42.demand legal recognition of their humanist wedding. Their lawyers say
:09:43. > :09:43.pagans and other religious groups do enjoy such privilege in Northern
:09:44. > :09:48.Ireland but humanists do not. Our next television news
:09:49. > :09:52.is at 6:30 this evening. In the meantime you can
