0:00:00 > 0:00:01That's all from the BBC News at One - so it's goodbye from me -

0:00:01 > 0:00:01and on BBC One we now join the BBC's news teams where you are.

0:00:09 > 0:00:10Good afternoon.

0:00:10 > 0:00:13A special service has been held in Enniskillen to mark the 30th

0:00:13 > 0:00:17anniversary of the bombing that claims the lives of 12 people

0:00:17 > 0:00:19and injured dozens more.

0:00:19 > 0:00:22The IRA attack was on Remembrance Sunday as people gathered

0:00:22 > 0:00:26at the Cenotaph in the town to remember the war dead.

0:00:26 > 0:00:29Our south-west reporter, Louise Cullen, is in

0:00:29 > 0:00:37Enniskillen for us now.

0:00:37 > 0:00:39Today, as on every 8th of

0:00:39 > 0:00:42Today, as on every 8th of November since 1987, families have adhered to

0:00:42 > 0:00:47remember those they had lost. 11 people were killed on the day, 12th

0:00:47 > 0:00:54died 13 years later, and more than 60 were injured when the bomb

0:00:54 > 0:00:58exploded here. Today some of those survivors gathered here as a

0:00:58 > 0:01:05memorial to those killed was unveiled. It bears all 12 names, but

0:01:05 > 0:01:09today Bosman unveiling the temporary. Agreement has yet to be

0:01:09 > 0:01:13reached about where the memorial will be placed. The Queen sent a

0:01:13 > 0:01:15message to the families, she said the memorial was a poignant reminder

0:01:15 > 0:01:20of a terrible event, that she was aware of the irreplaceable loss and

0:01:20 > 0:01:24profound sadness so many of the families had suffered and she

0:01:24 > 0:01:30renewed her St Evita the families. After the unveiling, -- her sympathy

0:01:30 > 0:01:34for the families. After the unveiling, the families attended a

0:01:34 > 0:01:37memorial service and the memories remain fresh for them.You don't

0:01:37 > 0:01:41think about it on a daily basis but you know that pain is there at the

0:01:41 > 0:01:50back of your rain. -- back of your mind. You learn to get through day

0:01:50 > 0:01:56by day.Someone just said to me, the last year, that grief is the price

0:01:56 > 0:02:02of a laugh. I never thought of that until I heard that. It truly is. --

0:02:02 > 0:02:10grief is the price of love.We will have more of the services in the

0:02:10 > 0:02:14news programme tonight as we reflect on how the bomb affected Northern

0:02:14 > 0:02:16Ireland widely.

0:02:16 > 0:02:18An 18-year-old man has died following a road crash in Portadown.

0:02:18 > 0:02:20The police have appealed for information about the single

0:02:20 > 0:02:23vehicle collision on Dungannon Road shortly after midnight.

0:02:23 > 0:02:26The police in Londonderry are investigating an attack

0:02:26 > 0:02:29by masked gunmen last night.

0:02:29 > 0:02:31It happened at a flat in the Altcar Park area.

0:02:31 > 0:02:33The man living there was unharmed.

0:02:33 > 0:02:34Our north-west reporter, Keiron Tourish, went

0:02:34 > 0:02:41to the scene this morning.

0:02:41 > 0:02:44A PSNI team carried out an extensive search of the area of Altcar Park

0:02:44 > 0:02:49where this incident took based last night. The police say there were

0:02:49 > 0:02:53reports of a masked gang, one of whom is believed to be armed with a

0:02:53 > 0:02:58gun, forcing their way inside at 10pm. Damage was caused inside. A

0:02:58 > 0:03:02number of windows were smashed by the men. A man who lives in the

0:03:02 > 0:03:06property, who is understood to be in his 20s and was in the flat at the

0:03:06 > 0:03:11time, was not injured.I also think that the people who are carrying out

0:03:11 > 0:03:14these acts need to explain to the community how they think they have

0:03:14 > 0:03:18the right to do these types of attacks, they have never worked in

0:03:18 > 0:03:21the past and they will not work now. This is a tight-knit community, we

0:03:21 > 0:03:25will come together and we have told these people time and time again

0:03:25 > 0:03:31that these attacks are not welcome. I am shocked, absolute shack, it's a

0:03:31 > 0:03:34nice quiet area. I grew up not far from here and we didn't have too

0:03:34 > 0:03:39much bother. It's a disgrace that people in this quiet community have

0:03:39 > 0:03:42to put up with this kind of behaviour.Detectives investigating

0:03:42 > 0:03:47this incident have issued an appeal for information. They want to hear

0:03:47 > 0:03:50from anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in or around

0:03:50 > 0:03:53Altcar Park last night, to come forward.

0:03:53 > 0:03:56Belfast has slipped further down a league table of where's best

0:03:56 > 0:03:59to live and work among UK cities.

0:03:59 > 0:04:02Low wages are part of the issue and the authors also say

0:04:02 > 0:04:04the collapse of the Executive at Stormont hasn't helped.

0:04:04 > 0:04:10Our business correspondent Julian O'Neill is here.

0:04:10 > 0:04:19Tell us more. This is an annual index of 42 UK cities issued through

0:04:19 > 0:04:21the professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. It is a

0:04:21 > 0:04:27survey of the working population, asking them things about income,

0:04:27 > 0:04:30housing affordability, and worklife balance. Just two years ago, Belfast

0:04:30 > 0:04:36was ranked as high as five out of 42, last year, it slipped to 25,

0:04:36 > 0:04:40this year its descent has continued and it is now ranked at number 30.

0:04:40 > 0:04:44The report says while it has been good at things like job creation,

0:04:44 > 0:04:49low wages and poor productivity are some of the factors behind its fall

0:04:49 > 0:04:53in the rankings. There is a separate section looking at 12 cities in the

0:04:53 > 0:04:57three devolved regions, and that makes even worse reading because it

0:04:57 > 0:05:04ranks on a Londonderry as 12 out of 12. Any real surprises in this? I

0:05:04 > 0:05:10don't think so. It's always good to see where Belfast and Derry rank

0:05:10 > 0:05:13alongside other UK cities but fundamentally this report reinforces

0:05:13 > 0:05:17the fact that Northern Ireland is coming out of recession at a much

0:05:17 > 0:05:24slower rate than other parts of the UK. We've always known things like

0:05:24 > 0:05:28our unemployment rate like the rest of the UK, our economic inactivity

0:05:28 > 0:05:32is higher. That's not really a surprise that we don't compare well.

0:05:32 > 0:05:37A couple of things worth pointing out, the authors say that Brexit

0:05:37 > 0:05:40will have a profound impact on Northern Ireland and it also says

0:05:40 > 0:05:44the absence of an executive has not helped the situation.

0:05:44 > 0:05:46Consultants who'd accepted they were to blame for flaws

0:05:46 > 0:05:49in the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme have now told the public

0:05:49 > 0:05:56inquiry they went too far in accepting responsibility.

0:05:56 > 0:06:02Cambridge Economic Policy Associates, which helped design RHI

0:06:02 > 0:06:12and set the tariff.

0:06:12 > 0:06:14The legal counsel said the Department of Trade

0:06:14 > 0:06:16and Investment should have spotted that the subsidy rate was higher

0:06:16 > 0:06:18than the cost of the fuel.

0:06:18 > 0:06:20Northern Ireland had a light work-out at Windsor park this

0:06:20 > 0:06:23lunchtime ahead of the home leg of the World Cup play offs

0:06:23 > 0:06:24against Switzerland.

0:06:24 > 0:06:26Here's Stephen Watson.

0:06:26 > 0:06:29A final training session for Northern Ireland ahead of what is

0:06:29 > 0:06:34going to be an intensive four days. They have two games against

0:06:34 > 0:06:37Switzerland to try and earn a place in the World Cup finals for the

0:06:37 > 0:06:42first time since 1986. And a clean bill of health for the Northern

0:06:42 > 0:06:46Ireland squad today, including defender Aaron Hughes who was

0:06:46 > 0:06:48originally rated doubtful. On tonight's programme, we will hear

0:06:48 > 0:06:53the final thoughts of the manager Michael O'Neill and we will have a

0:06:53 > 0:06:56special feature with the Evans brothers.

0:06:56 > 0:06:58Now let's have a look at the weather forecast, here's Barra Best.

0:07:01 > 0:07:05We had a very frosty start to the day thanks to clear skies last night

0:07:05 > 0:07:09but those clear skies gave us a cracking view of the Northern

0:07:09 > 0:07:16lights, particularly over County Antrim. This was not too far away,

0:07:16 > 0:07:22and thank you for your photographs, keep them coming in. No sign of that

0:07:22 > 0:07:26tonight, too much cloud around. That gives us some patchy light rain and

0:07:26 > 0:07:29drizzle, temperatures struggling to seven or 8 degrees in the

0:07:29 > 0:07:33south-westerly wind. The best of the dry and brighter weather will

0:07:33 > 0:07:38probably be towards the south-east of corner. The rest of the day sees

0:07:38 > 0:07:41the cloud thickening up, bringing the odd spot of light rain and

0:07:41 > 0:07:44drizzle but it will become more patchy in nature through the

0:07:44 > 0:07:48evening, lots of places having some good try gaps but there will be some

0:07:48 > 0:07:52drizzle coming this way through the early hours of tomorrow morning.

0:07:52 > 0:07:55Behind it will be colder, temperatures into the single

0:07:55 > 0:08:01figures. No frost for most of us into tomorrow morning. Tomorrow is

0:08:01 > 0:08:06going to get off to a dry start, some sunshine to enjoy, a bit of a

0:08:06 > 0:08:10brisk westerly wind which could make it feel fresh. Temperatures

0:08:10 > 0:08:13generally reaching ten or 11 degrees. Feeling a little bit cooler

0:08:13 > 0:08:17when you factor in the wind. A lot of the day will be dry but towards

0:08:17 > 0:08:21tomorrow evening, the cloud thickens from the west, and with the cloud

0:08:21 > 0:08:25there will be rain. Into the weekend, scattered showers in the

0:08:25 > 0:08:31forecast, turning colder into the wind coming in from the south-west.

0:08:31 > 0:08:33Now a signed news summary with Adam McCormick.

0:08:33 > 0:08:36Special service has been held in Enniskillen to mark the 30th

0:08:36 > 0:08:38anniversary of the bombing that claims the lives of 12 people

0:09:00 > 0:09:03by a masked and armed gang on a flat in the Altcar Park area

0:09:05 > 0:09:09The man living at the property was unharmed.

0:09:09 > 0:09:14Belfast has slipped from fifth to 30th position in two years

0:09:14 > 0:09:19in a ranking of the economic performance of UK cities.

0:09:19 > 0:09:22The study from Price Waterhouse Cooper says while Belfast has seen

0:09:22 > 0:09:23"good job-creation", lower wages and poorer

0:09:23 > 0:09:28productivity are among the factors behind its fall.
