:00:15. > :00:17.Last month, a Parades Commission ruling banned it from passing
:00:18. > :00:20.through the city centre and there was a large policing
:00:21. > :00:21.operation put in place for today's protest.
:00:22. > :00:34.In the days leading up to this parade, there were concerns about
:00:35. > :00:40.violence around the protest, because of incidents at previous events. The
:00:41. > :00:47.organisers had this to say before it moved off toward the city centre. If
:00:48. > :00:56.there's anybody here who is drinking who is taking part,. Hundreds were
:00:57. > :01:01.joined by four Republican bands for the march which the protesters say
:01:02. > :01:05.was about highlighting the continued use of internment. We have
:01:06. > :01:11.Republican through the count is arrested and remanded for two years
:01:12. > :01:15.and after that they are bailed with serious strict conditions and
:01:16. > :01:20.curfews. Once it gets to the courts, there is no answer, so that is
:01:21. > :01:25.clearly internment. As the parade made its way through West Belfast
:01:26. > :01:31.toward the lower Falls Road and city centre, police units were preparing
:01:32. > :01:34.to block the route in line with a parade commission's determination.

:01:46. > :01:51.on the march and it is not allowed to go any further than this police

:01:58. > :02:00.crowd then dispersed without incident.
:02:01. > :02:03.A man in his forties who was being questioned by gardai
:02:04. > :02:05.in connection with the murder of Denis Donaldson
:02:06. > :02:12.The former Sinn Fein official was shot dead in April

:02:23. > :02:37.It's been a difficult start to the Olympics for Ireland boxes as one
:02:38. > :02:42.fighter failed a drugs test. He has since appealed. But today, the focus
:02:43. > :02:49.was very much inside the ring as Steven Donnelly made his Olympic
:02:50. > :02:54.debut in a welterweight division. Walking to the ring for the biggest
:02:55. > :02:57.moment of his career. This was Steven Donnelly's first Olympic
:02:58. > :03:02.experience and he was determined to enjoy it. The Ballymena man settled
:03:03. > :03:11.quickly into the fight against his Algerian opponent. He triumphed in
:03:12. > :03:15.round one and never looked back. Eventually he got a unanimous
:03:16. > :03:18.decision from all three judges. There was big pressure on my
:03:19. > :03:27.shoulders coming into the tournament. I came away with the win
:03:28. > :03:31.and I couldn't be happier. Were you nervous? I definitely was, it was my
:03:32. > :03:35.debut, anybody would be nervous walking out in front of all these
:03:36. > :03:39.people. Northern Ireland comes watching expecting you to win. The
:03:40. > :03:43.pressure was there and I can only get better from here on in. Why type
:03:44. > :03:46.elsewhere, today's rowing schedule was delayed by winds-macro which
:03:47. > :03:51.means that Richard Chambers will have to wait for his first heat. The
:03:52. > :03:55.event continues and the horse riding looked settled. Claire Abbots
:03:56. > :03:59.recorded a personal best in the dressage and team Ireland are
:04:00. > :04:03.currently lying fourth. After losing their opening game 3-2 yesterday to

:04:15. > :04:15.waiting for the first win. But other boxing, it has been a dream debut
:04:16. > :04:18.for Steven Donnelly. Both Tyrone and Donegal went out
:04:19. > :04:20.of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship at the quarterfinal
:04:21. > :04:23.stage at Croke Park. Tyrone lost out to Mayo
:04:24. > :04:25.by a single point in Mayo edged ahead with five minutes
:04:26. > :04:31.of normal time to go in the game. Tyrone then had this late chance
:04:32. > :04:34.to level the match in injury time but Niall Morgan was unable to score
:04:35. > :04:41.with a long-range free. Meanwhile, Donegal were beaten
:04:42. > :04:43.by reigning champions Dublin, with Paul Mannion's goal deep
:04:44. > :04:45.into injury-time ensuring that his side progressed
:04:46. > :04:47.by a comfortable margin A look ahead now to a story we'll

:05:06. > :05:10.been a rise in the number of Unionists deciding to get Irish
:05:11. > :05:14.passports. So for them, just how difficult a decision was it? My
:05:15. > :05:23.father would not be pleased if he was still alive. But I'm from Larne,
:05:24. > :05:27.a lot of my friends and relatives are and some of them will be happy
:05:28. > :05:27.and they will be doing exactly the same thing.
