:00:08. > :00:11.The incident happened in Britton's Parade,

:00:12. > :00:15.near the Whiterock Road, shortly after 9.00pm last night.

:00:16. > :00:17.A 26-year-old man has been arrested and police have

:00:18. > :00:26.Irishman Kevin Mallon, who was arrested in Brazil over

:00:27. > :00:28.alleged illegal ticket sales at the Olympic Games,

:00:29. > :00:31.Mr Mallon was released from Bangu prison just after

:00:32. > :00:37.The Dublin-based director of THG Sports was arrested on the day

:00:38. > :00:39.of the Olympics opening ceremony three weeks ago.

:00:40. > :00:42.As part of his bail conditions, Mr Mallon must stay in Brazil

:00:43. > :00:47.He must also alert authorities as to his whereabouts

:00:48. > :00:54.and is banned from any Olympic or Paralympic venues.

:00:55. > :00:57.The BHS store in Belfast's Castle Lane closed its doors

:00:58. > :01:00.for the last time today, ending the firm's association

:01:01. > :01:03.Three other stores have already closed.

:01:04. > :01:06.The Belfast store had been a fixture in the city centre

:01:07. > :01:24.It was a time for the very last bargains on the very last day of

:01:25. > :01:29.business. I hope you get your jobs! Even the plastic coat hangers were

:01:30. > :01:33.up for grabs. BHS opened in Belfast in 1965 and over the following

:01:34. > :01:38.decades it survived the worst of the Troubles. The store was bombed

:01:39. > :01:42.several times. Today there was sadness from shoppers calling in one

:01:43. > :01:47.last time, some taking the chance to catch a memory of the players they

:01:48. > :01:53.have been coming to years. I have always been a firm supporter of the

:01:54. > :02:00.clothes. I like the quality, the natural fabrics. I am from before

:02:01. > :02:05.the day of polyester! Good quality, to wash in the washing machine. It

:02:06. > :02:10.is the end of an era. I used to shop there for my children's clothes and

:02:11. > :02:22.the stat for wonder. It is so sad that the management have messed up.

:02:23. > :02:28.The doors have now closed for the very last time. It means less choice

:02:29. > :02:33.for shoppers, it also means real worries about jobs and pensions from

:02:34. > :02:37.many staff. They have built and we built this shop through the dark

:02:38. > :02:44.days of the conflict and they have spent the last few days dismantling.

:02:45. > :02:48.It is sold as drawing. There are major concerns for the staff. We

:02:49. > :02:51.don't know because the company has gone into liquidation in what is the

:02:52. > :02:56.result with regards to the redundancy. When will they get it?

:02:57. > :03:01.More concerning two us is what is happening with their pensions.

:03:02. > :03:05.Despite all the uncertainty, after closing, those on duty today chose

:03:06. > :03:06.to remember the end of an era and the better times they had had

:03:07. > :03:10.the better times they had had together.

:03:11. > :03:17.in Botanic Gardens this weekend. attended the Belfast Mela

:03:18. > :03:20.It was a celebration of cultural diversity for all the family,

:03:21. > :03:34.Food, fashion, fancy footwork and fun. Just a taster of what was on

:03:35. > :03:37.the menu at this year's Belfast Mela Festival. Visitors attending the

:03:38. > :03:42.event were treated to the sights, sounds and smells of the world, has

:03:43. > :03:48.countries from across the globe showcased their wares. I think it is

:03:49. > :03:53.great. We have been here all day. It is a great family day out. Where

:03:54. > :03:57.else would you be on a sunny Sunday afternoon than the Belfast Mela?

:03:58. > :04:02.Botanic Gardens Roxette Skinner Chamakh I come every year. I am

:04:03. > :04:06.especially enjoying it because it is the ten year celebrations. I decided

:04:07. > :04:10.to come again with friends who have not been before. It is amazing to

:04:11. > :04:15.see is a many different cultures and people together with such lovely

:04:16. > :04:20.weather and the vibrancy and the fact that everybody can have such a

:04:21. > :04:25.good time together. The Mela has been running for ten years and is

:04:26. > :04:29.stronger than ever. We are hoping to continue to grow the festival as it

:04:30. > :04:32.has been over the last ten years and bring more cultures and traditions

:04:33. > :04:36.into the park your for more and more people to come and enjoy and

:04:37. > :04:40.understand and feel part of Northern Ireland and part of the fabric of

:04:41. > :04:47.our country. But while fun in the sun became too much for some, others

:04:48. > :04:52.A look ahead now to a story coming up this week on BBC Newsline.

:04:53. > :04:54.As children go back to school, we've been asking you about

:04:55. > :05:09.Working about, ?600 per child. That is not even a couple of points here

:05:10. > :05:12.Our reporter Helen Jones has been investigating

:05:13. > :05:15.and will have the story this week on BBC Newsline.

:05:16. > :05:17.Well, it was a lovely day in most places.

:05:18. > :05:31.For a bank holiday weekend, it hasn't been too bad at all. Some

:05:32. > :05:35.sunny gaps to end the day. Overnight with clearer skies it will turn

:05:36. > :05:39.colder, especially in the countryside will be good to the

:05:40. > :05:43.bridge is dipping to four or 5 degrees. Towns and cities should

:05:44. > :05:47.stay closer to double figures. For the bank holiday itself tomorrow it

:05:48. > :05:51.will be mainly dry but the expected to be more cloudy than today. To

:05:52. > :05:55.begin with, they should because some good gaps to allow some sunny

:05:56. > :06:00.spells, but it will be long before the cloud rolled in from the West.

:06:01. > :06:05.If your health -- heading towards the north coast we are expecting

:06:06. > :06:09.lots of dry weather with sunny gaps, but it may turn grey and tamper the

:06:10. > :06:13.evening. If you are travelling across Ireland tomorrow it is a dry

:06:14. > :06:17.picture for many, but cloudy. The best of the sunshine would be

:06:18. > :06:22.stretching across much of Britain, and it will be warm in the sunshine.

:06:23. > :06:25.At the end of the date has the week weather from Russia to cross it

:06:26. > :06:28.could be enough to give us some rain on the north coast but the bulk of

:06:29. > :06:33.the range will be heading towards western areas of Scotland tomorrow

:06:34. > :06:40.evening. For us, at best tomorrow we are looking at 17 or 18 degrees. In

:06:41. > :06:43.the sun, maybe 19, with the light south-westerly wind. We will turn

:06:44. > :06:49.drive once more overnight into Tuesday. Tuesday will not be a bad

:06:50. > :06:53.day. Yes, fair amount of pride with some brighter spells breaking

:06:54. > :06:56.through. We will hold onto the south-westerly wind. Temperatures

:06:57. > :07:00.are perfect to 19 or 20 degrees. It is not until late on Tuesday that we

:07:01. > :07:06.start to see another weather from pushing its way from the Atlantic.

:07:07. > :07:10.It will bring rain a while overnight on Tuesday and into weapons did, but

:07:11. > :07:14.it will clear away. For weapons the thirsty we are expecting to have

:07:15. > :07:18.fair amount of weather with temperatures touching 19 or 20 in

:07:19. > :07:20.some spots. The wind will be like as well.

:07:21. > :07:22.Our next BBC Newsline bulletin is at 10.15pm this evening.

:07:23. > :07:27.From everyone on the BBC Newsline team, enjoy your evening.
