:00:22. > :00:25.and Ryan were found at their home in Cavan on Monday.

:00:26. > :00:31.Kevin Magee reports from County Cavan.

:00:32. > :00:38.A scene of sadness beyond description and belief. The coffins

:00:39. > :00:45.of five members of an entire family are carried into a country church

:00:46. > :00:50.for a requiem mass. Parents Alan and Clodagh Hawe, and Liam, Niall and

:00:51. > :00:53.Ryan were laid to rest this afternoon at Saint Mary's church.

:00:54. > :01:00.Hundreds turned up to pay their respects. The priest said that the

:01:01. > :01:05.families of both parents, Alan and Clodagh, were united in support and

:01:06. > :01:09.brokenness. And we're sharing the building, burden, will and pain.

:01:10. > :01:17.Last week, the Hawe family seemed like any other, but

:01:18. > :01:18.Last week, the Hawe family seemed side in the adjoining cemetery.

:01:19. > :01:21.People in this close-knit community have suffered an unimaginable loss.

:01:22. > :01:26.Now that the funerals have taken place, they are being left to grieve

:01:27. > :01:29.and trying to make some sense out of what had happened.

:01:30. > :01:32.A service has been held in northern France to mark the centenary

:01:33. > :01:34.of the 16th Irish Division's involvement in the

:01:35. > :01:37.The Secretary of State James Brokenshire and the Republic's

:01:38. > :01:39.Regional Development Minister, Heather Humphreys

:01:40. > :01:40.were among those at the commemoration.

:01:41. > :01:59.The people of this town have never seen anything like this before,

:02:00. > :02:04.British and Irish soldiers joined honouring the dead at the 16th Irish

:02:05. > :02:09.division at this tiny village on the Somme. The Royal Irish Regiment and

:02:10. > :02:14.the Irish Defence Forces mounted the ceremonial cenotaph guard. There are

:02:15. > :02:20.politicians laid wreaths. Laurel from for the UK. Hundreds gathered

:02:21. > :02:26.at the granite Celtic cross erected in memory of the day that the 16th

:02:27. > :02:30.Irish division. The Stormont junior minister of the DUP lead a read, as

:02:31. > :02:35.the Secretary of State and the Irish Minister for regional development,

:02:36. > :02:39.Heather Humphreys. It just goes to show the great cooperation there is

:02:40. > :02:44.between the defence forces in the UK and in Ireland and in Northern

:02:45. > :02:49.Ireland. And it is great to see as all here today united in remembering

:02:50. > :02:51.all of those who gave their lives in the First World War, and

:02:52. > :02:57.particularly at the Battle of the Somme. There is a growing confidence

:02:58. > :03:02.within nationalism and unionism to recognise some of our shared

:03:03. > :03:06.history. I am encouraged by the fact that so many nationalists are

:03:07. > :03:09.willing to recognise the role the ancestors paid in the Great War.

:03:10. > :03:14.This was a special moment here in this rural French village. When

:03:15. > :03:17.British and Irish, long divided by history, were united in remembering

:03:18. > :03:21.the sacrifice of young Irish men who died fighting here at the Somme.

:03:22. > :03:23.Onto sport, and Northern Ireland are in Prague this weekend to take

:03:24. > :03:25.on the Czech Republic in their opening

:03:26. > :03:36.The team's feeling positive after the Euros.

:03:37. > :03:40.The confidence we have is a collective team is absolutely

:03:41. > :03:46.fantastic. I think the most important thing that Michael made

:03:47. > :03:50.clear is that he wanted continuity. So most of the team, basically all

:03:51. > :03:54.of the team we have, have sort of progressed onto the World Cup from

:03:55. > :03:59.the Urals. Some have been dropped by injury and a couple of new faces

:04:00. > :04:02.Broughton, but the major part of the starting 11 is basically the same.

:04:03. > :04:10.So, are fundamental as the team have not changed, so we are going into

:04:11. > :04:12.this campaign was probably even more confidence than we did with Euro

:04:13. > :04:13.campaign. In rugby, Ireland have made a bid

:04:14. > :04:16.to host the 2023 World Cup, along with France, Italy and South

:04:17. > :04:18.Africa. World Rugby confirmed that the four

:04:19. > :04:20.unions submitted their applications Ireland and Italy have never staged

:04:21. > :04:24.the event although games were played No sunshine today -

:04:25. > :04:28.but will there be any Here's Angie with

:04:29. > :04:39.the weekend weather. Hello, good evening. After a

:04:40. > :04:44.disappointing day today at least the second half of the weekend is

:04:45. > :04:47.looking a little bit better. But, for this evening, still from rain to

:04:48. > :04:52.content within places. Where those showers come along, a few could be

:04:53. > :04:54.heavy. Maybe even a rumble or two of thunder. That theme continues

:04:55. > :04:57.throughout the night, particularly for part of the north and east.

:04:58. > :05:03.Again, heavy bursts possible. Eventually drying up towards the

:05:04. > :05:20.West. It is a mild-mannered, but lows

:05:21. > :05:25.of 11- at least would like a better day. A lot of dry weather in the

:05:26. > :05:27.forecast and some sunshine. Probably starting at quite cloudy and done,

:05:28. > :05:29.particularly in parts of the East, before the rain clears away, and

:05:30. > :05:32.those skies start to Britain. Also breaking up across the Republic. In

:05:33. > :05:34.the meantime, that fragmenting band of rain moves away. Eventually down

:05:35. > :05:37.towards the east and south east, but broke up in between. Temperatures in

:05:38. > :05:39.the south east should get into the low 20s. It is a better day for

:05:40. > :05:42.Northern Ireland tomorrow. Still a fair amount of sunshine around in

:05:43. > :05:46.the afternoon. Although it probably will become quite hazy. Feeling

:05:47. > :05:49.fairly pleasant. House of 19 towards the South East so maybe a bit

:05:50. > :05:53.fresher on part of the North Coast. A little bit of a change again

:05:54. > :05:57.tomorrow night. Another weather front moves in bringing increasingly

:05:58. > :06:00.wet weather. The isobars are packing in as well, those will become quite

:06:01. > :06:05.breezy. But once it is clear is not too much rain during the first half

:06:06. > :06:06.of next week. Variable, often large amounts of cloud. Some bright spells

:06:07. > :06:07.and it is warming up. In the meantime you can keep

:06:08. > :06:13.up to date with local news on Radio Ulster

:06:14. > :06:15.or on our news online service. From everyone here

:06:16. > :06:18.on the programme, enjoy
