:00:20. > :00:22.No-one has ever been convicted of the murder.

:00:23. > :00:34.From Mauritius, Mark Simpson reports.

:00:35. > :00:41.It is a journey he hoped he would never have to make again. John

:00:42. > :00:46.McAreavey back in Mauritius. Still searching for justice. John and

:00:47. > :00:50.Michaela McAreavey came here together on honeymoon in six years

:00:51. > :00:54.ago. She was murdered 12 days after their wedding. He is here with his

:00:55. > :01:00.sister Claire here with his sister Claire who is a lawyer and

:01:01. > :01:04.Michaela's brother. They are not saying anything until next week when

:01:05. > :01:09.they hold a news conference to make a public appeal for information

:01:10. > :01:13.about the killing. In Mauritius, there is surprise that John

:01:14. > :01:19.McAreavey has returned. I think people will be shocked, people will

:01:20. > :01:24.be shocked, because we gathered that he has started a new life, but he

:01:25. > :01:33.will move on and forget about this tragedy. And I think people will be

:01:34. > :01:37.surprised to see him and to see his quest for the truth is still there.

:01:38. > :01:41.The last time John McCreadie was here was for the trial of two hotel

:01:42. > :01:45.workers accused of the murder, they were both found not guilty, that was

:01:46. > :01:49.five years ago and since then there has been a fresh police

:01:50. > :01:53.investigation, some new evidence has been discovered but not enough to

:01:54. > :01:58.lead to a prosecution. The case appears to have stalled, John

:01:59. > :02:00.McGreevey is hoping his presence here will change that. Mark Simpson,

:02:01. > :02:02.BBC Newsline, Mauritius. A man's body has been

:02:03. > :02:04.found at Murlough beach, Police say the unidentified male

:02:05. > :02:08.is around 50 years old, He had greying hair on the side

:02:09. > :02:12.of his head, but was bald It's thought the body may have

:02:13. > :02:16.washed in with the tide and police say they are following a definite

:02:17. > :02:19.line of enquiry. A thirty two year old Donegal man

:02:20. > :02:22.has appeared in court charged with attempted murder and possession

:02:23. > :02:24.of a pipe bomb with The charges are connected

:02:25. > :02:28.to an explosion at a housing estate in Irvinestown in county Fermanagh

:02:29. > :02:31.at the end of January. Sean McVeigh, who's

:02:32. > :02:33.from Glencara Park in Letterkenny, Tributes were paid to former

:02:34. > :02:41.Derry City captain Ryan McBride as the team played its first game

:02:42. > :02:44.since his sudden death The Candystripes hosted

:02:45. > :02:49.Bray Wanderers in Buncrana last night, with the visitors snatching

:02:50. > :02:51.a 3-2 victory. Players, officials and fans made

:02:52. > :02:53.gestures of remembrance for the twenty seven year

:02:54. > :02:55.old who played wearing number five and our north-west reporter

:02:56. > :03:11.Keiron Tourish was there. A very emotional and difficult night

:03:12. > :03:15.for Derry City football club, the first game back after the death of

:03:16. > :03:20.Ryan McBride. Denis Bradley, a difficult time for the club. It has

:03:21. > :03:24.been a difficult time and this tribute is just a recognition, some

:03:25. > :03:28.kind of expression of the warmth of which this young player was held. He

:03:29. > :03:35.was just a local lad who gave his all for the club and I think the

:03:36. > :03:39.local supporters have come out and paid a very strong tribute. The

:03:40. > :03:44.memory goes on and I think it will go on for a long time. Aside from

:03:45. > :03:48.the personal tragedy, this comes at a time when Ryan McBride was really

:03:49. > :03:52.making his mark in football. He was starting to mature as a player. You

:03:53. > :03:58.could see the captaincy was bringing out the best in him and he was

:03:59. > :04:03.hitting the peak. These were his best years. It is sad, I think he

:04:04. > :04:06.was turning into the best centre half in Ireland and it is

:04:07. > :04:10.unfortunately did not get to see the best of him. Thank you. The family

:04:11. > :04:13.have travelled here to witness for themselves at first hand, the warmth

:04:14. > :04:16.and tributes to the former captain. The Holywood actor John Cusack

:04:19. > :04:21.of events as part of The star of hit films including

:04:25. > :04:26.Realta (Rail-ta) award for his outstanding contribution

:04:27. > :04:29.to cinema during a sold out Today the actor, who describes

:04:30. > :04:32.himself as a political activist, gave a talk to over one hundred

:04:33. > :04:35.and fifty politics students Motorcyclist Jonathan Rea won his

:04:36. > :04:43.fifth successive race in this year's World Superbike Championship today

:04:44. > :04:45.in Aragon in Spain. Rea was involved a battle with rival

:04:46. > :04:48.Chaz Davies who crashed Rea, who has won the title

:04:49. > :04:52.for the last two years, Now with what the rest

:04:53. > :05:12.of the weekend weather has in store, Most of the heavy showers are easing

:05:13. > :05:16.away but for a while there were some big black clouds looming which we

:05:17. > :05:19.needed to take cover from. The shower is continuing to ease away

:05:20. > :05:23.leaving a cold night, possibly a touch of frost and a lovely day

:05:24. > :05:28.tomorrow, tomorrow definitely the better of the two days. Driving at

:05:29. > :05:32.night, clear skies, temperatures could get close to easing in the

:05:33. > :05:36.countryside, but there will be some mist and fog around early tomorrow

:05:37. > :06:07.but the sun is up early, so any frost

:06:08. > :06:11.will quickly melt and will be a fine and dry Sunday with lots of dry and

:06:12. > :06:14.bright and sunny weather to come as the mist and low cloud lifts. If

:06:15. > :06:17.you're heading across the board are travelling down south, a fine day,

:06:18. > :06:19.with a ridge of high pressure, one or two showers in the East of

:06:20. > :06:22.England and the breeze picking up later in the day across the west

:06:23. > :06:24.coast of Ireland, some cloud moving in from the Atlantic. It should stay

:06:25. > :06:26.bright tomorrow, warmer than today, temperatures up to 15 degrees.

:06:27. > :06:29.Tomorrow night the breeze will pick up, some cloud moving in and some

:06:30. > :06:32.rain for a time on Monday but once we get rid of the rain on Monday we

:06:33. > :06:35.will get high pressure reading and for much of the working week. It

:06:36. > :06:36.looks like next week could be pretty dry.
