:00:07. > :00:14.The Brexit Secretary David Davis has said he doesn't accept that Irish

:00:15. > :00:17.border issues can be resolved in the first stage of the UK's

:00:18. > :00:24.The EU's Brexit guidelines state that Irish border

:00:25. > :00:27.issues should be tackled, along with citizenship

:00:28. > :00:29.rights and UK payments, before talks on a trade

:00:30. > :00:37.Here's our Economics and Business John Campbell.

:00:38. > :00:46.Last week the EU's chief negotiator Michel Barnier visited Ireland and

:00:47. > :00:49.gave a speech in which he said he wanted a bold and ambitious trade

:00:50. > :00:55.deal with the UK. He repeated the policy that full trade -- before

:00:56. > :01:00.trade talks could start there would be progress on how the border would

:01:01. > :01:04.be banished after Brexit. But David Davis said that trying to separate

:01:05. > :01:10.the border issue from the trade deal was illogical. How on earth do you

:01:11. > :01:14.resolve the border issue with the north of Ireland and the Republic

:01:15. > :01:18.unless you know what our general borders policy is, what the customs

:01:19. > :01:21.policy is, what the free-trade agreement is, whether you need to

:01:22. > :01:27.charge tariffs? David Davis said that the issue would become the

:01:28. > :01:32.political row of the summer. He is due to meet Michel Barnier after the

:01:33. > :01:37.UK election. It's possible that Michel Barnier can find some wiggle

:01:38. > :01:40.room. His guidelines say that trade talks can start after sufficient

:01:41. > :01:46.progress has been made on the preliminary issues. Much depends on

:01:47. > :01:48.what sufficient progress means in practice.

:01:49. > :01:51.The remains of a Spitfire fighter plane which crashed into a field

:01:52. > :01:54.in County Monaghan in 1942 have been recovered by a group

:01:55. > :01:58.A number of items were excavated near Emyvale yesterday.

:01:59. > :02:02.Our reporter Michael Fitzpatrick was there.

:02:03. > :02:09.Digging up the pieces of the past, the remains of an RAF Spitfire plane

:02:10. > :02:14.have lain untouched in this field for nearly 75 years. The majority of

:02:15. > :02:19.the wreckage was cleared at the time but a number of parts were left in

:02:20. > :02:24.the impact crater. Josie was five when the plane came down near her

:02:25. > :02:28.family home. I can remember crowds of people wanting to take pieces

:02:29. > :02:37.with them. Gathering around to see what happened. It was all exciting

:02:38. > :02:41.for us. The Spitfire pilot safely bailed out of the plane north of the

:02:42. > :02:45.border after his instruments froze. After each layer of birth is scraped

:02:46. > :02:52.away, new parts of the aircraft are revealed. Exciting times, we've come

:02:53. > :02:58.down onto one of the cylinder heads inside the Merlin engine. We don't

:02:59. > :03:04.know it is connected to the rest of the internal crankshaft, but a very

:03:05. > :03:09.strong smell of fuel, a lot of oil. After five hours of digging the

:03:10. > :03:14.Rolls-Royce engine was pulled from the Earth. All of the pieces will be

:03:15. > :03:16.cleaned and catalogue before being handed over to the County Monaghan

:03:17. > :03:18.Museum. Jonathan Rea is still leading

:03:19. > :03:22.the world superbike championship despite being beaten twice in two

:03:23. > :03:26.days by Welsh rival Chaz Davies. A second place finish meant reigning

:03:27. > :03:29.world champion Rea managed to extend his lead, coming

:03:30. > :03:35.away with 40 points. Now a look ahead to later this week

:03:36. > :03:38.when BBC Newsline's Mark Simpson will have the inside story

:03:39. > :03:50.of John McAreavey's recent Six years after Michaela McAreavey

:03:51. > :03:57.was murdered on her honeymoon here in Mauritius, her family is seeking

:03:58. > :04:01.justice. There are things that will stay with me for the rest of my

:04:02. > :04:06.life. So, they came here, 6000 miles, for five days. They appealed

:04:07. > :04:11.to the people of Mauritius for help. They put pressure on politicians and

:04:12. > :04:13.they return to the scene of the crime.

:04:14. > :04:16.And that's on BBC One Northern Ireland on Tuesday night at 10.40 -

:04:17. > :04:21.Now for the weather with Angie Phillips.

:04:22. > :04:27.Good evening, the weather has been quite changeable through the weekend

:04:28. > :04:32.and it's going to remain that way through the week ahead. Rain in the

:04:33. > :04:39.forecast, or showers, locally heavy and quite gusty wind. A bit fresher

:04:40. > :04:43.today, sunshine and showers, some of them heavy but they will fade

:04:44. > :04:47.tonight, only giving way to thickening cloud and more persistent

:04:48. > :04:51.rain overnight with a strengthening south easterly wind but at least it

:04:52. > :04:59.isn't cold, temperatures around 8-10. Tomorrow, eventually things

:05:00. > :05:02.will improve and it will feel warm but it's a miserable start, wet and

:05:03. > :05:12.windy. Not very pleasant for the warning rush-hour, a lot of surface

:05:13. > :05:17.spray. A miserable morning, wet and heavy bursts of rain, eventually

:05:18. > :05:20.moving east. Wet and windy in many parts, especially over Scotland and

:05:21. > :05:27.northern England. The wind not as strong in the South, turning more

:05:28. > :05:32.patchy through the afternoon. Temperatures not too bad, into the

:05:33. > :05:36.high teens. Quite a warm and humid day to come for Northern Ireland,

:05:37. > :05:40.heavy rain moving away leaving patches of light rain and drizzle

:05:41. > :05:45.and we may see temperatures in the east up to 19, 20 degrees,

:05:46. > :05:49.especially with some brightness. Through the week, low pressure in

:05:50. > :05:56.the Atlantic dominating the weather, plenty of white lines packed in,

:05:57. > :05:59.indicative of brisk wind. Quite breezy, quite a damp start in the

:06:00. > :06:05.north-west although things will turn a bit more dry and more fresh. In

:06:06. > :06:08.the meantime, rain bushing south. Warm and humid in the south-east,

:06:09. > :06:15.temperatures freshening up into Wednesday. Still quite wet here. A

:06:16. > :06:19.dry gap behind that, further spells of rain moving into the North and

:06:20. > :06:22.West. These showers could be quite heavy as they will be on Thursday

:06:23. > :06:31.with a risk of hail and thunder.
