:00:00. > :00:00.Hello and welcome to South Today - on BBC One we now join
:00:07. > :00:10.Hello and welcome to South Today from Oxford. In tonight's programme:
:00:11. > :00:14.He starved to death. The Government admit it was wrong that this man was
:00:15. > :00:23.denied benefits and declared fit for work. Also, a town says it's crying
:00:24. > :00:27.out for a new leisure development, but tonight there's a major setback
:00:28. > :00:29.as a bid for ?4 million of funding is rejected. Plus, we examine the
:00:30. > :00:33.increasing popularity, and profitability, of locally rtn pubs
:00:34. > :00:38.and shops. And later on, whdn your luck's in, you win, and when's it
:00:39. > :00:47.out, it's really out. We rotnd up the weekend's football.
:00:48. > :00:52.The Department for Work and Pensions has admitted it was wrong to cut the
:00:53. > :00:57.welfare benefits of an Oxfordshire man who later starved to de`th. Mark
:00:58. > :01:00.Wood from Bampton had been declared fit to work following a
:01:01. > :01:10.re`assessment of his needs by the government's contractor ATOS. But
:01:11. > :01:13.the assessment failed to take proper account of the fact that he suffered
:01:14. > :01:16.from a series of hidden dis`bilities and psychological problems.
:01:17. > :01:19.Relatives believe the cut in his income added to the pressurds he
:01:20. > :01:26.already faced, and caused hhm to stop eating. Here's Peter Cooke
:01:27. > :01:30.Mark Wood was just 44 when he died last August. He weighed less than
:01:31. > :01:33.six stone. Described at his inquest as a vulnerable and fragile man he
:01:34. > :01:37.had been dealing with compldx mental health conditions such as aspergers,
:01:38. > :01:40.a form of autism, for a number of years. Once he was passed fht to
:01:41. > :01:43.work by ATOS, this triggered a decision by the Jobcentre to stop
:01:44. > :01:47.his sickness payments, leavhng him just ?40 a week to live on. His
:01:48. > :01:53.family say the stress of thhs decision and a phobia about food and
:01:54. > :01:56.eating led to his death. Thdy now want the Government to reform how it
:01:57. > :02:01.treats people with mental hdalth problems when it assesses their
:02:02. > :02:09.eligibility for benefits. Somebody very, very vulnerable died hn the
:02:10. > :02:14.state of panic because of starvation in either Decameron's consthtuency.
:02:15. > :02:18.We have had the statement from him saying it is a tragic case but we
:02:19. > :02:23.would like an apology for hhs death cause every life is valuabld and
:02:24. > :02:29.this is how the processes J`ckson Merrett normal people. In a
:02:30. > :02:32.statement the Department for Work and Pensions said: After receiving
:02:33. > :02:36.new evidence from Mark Wood's GP which was not presented at the first
:02:37. > :02:39.assessment we have revised our original decision. We have written
:02:40. > :02:42.to Mr Wood's family about this decision and are carrying ott an
:02:43. > :02:45.internal review of the case. It s worth adding ATOS has had its
:02:46. > :02:47.contract to carry out these fit`to`work tests ended early. It
:02:48. > :02:50.follows government criticisl over significant quality failures. A new
:02:51. > :02:55.company will take over earlx next year. A short time ago I spoke to
:02:56. > :02:59.Susie Dohan from the campaign group who took Mark's case to appdal and
:03:00. > :03:07.asked why she thought mistakes had been made in his case. I am really,
:03:08. > :03:12.really pleased they have made this decision. Obviously it was dealt
:03:13. > :03:18.with quickly because we werd able to get it to the right place. We were
:03:19. > :03:23.supported in making sure it got where it needed to be but I am just
:03:24. > :03:27.sorry we were not involved hn earlier and maybe we could have
:03:28. > :03:36.resolved this just after thd decision was made last year. In your
:03:37. > :03:43.experience, is this case re`r? It is not. We deal like cases `` with
:03:44. > :03:49.cases like this every day. Hn 2 13 we dealt with 312 cases with the
:03:50. > :03:55.similar issue and we were stccessful with the appeal 90% of the time
:03:56. > :04:03.What do you want to happen? Do you want to be involved? I do w`nt to be
:04:04. > :04:11.involved there will be a pedr review. I believe there was some
:04:12. > :04:15.contact between Mark and thd work and pensions since April last year.
:04:16. > :04:19.I want to get to work with them so that when they can review the case
:04:20. > :04:26.you can find better ways thdy could have dealt with him. Can lessons be
:04:27. > :04:30.learned? The assessments take place and it is not unreasonable that
:04:31. > :04:36.people would have their bendfits assessed to make sure they have the
:04:37. > :04:41.seem levels of need. The system is very flexible and it is for that
:04:42. > :04:45.same reason it is challenged `` the decision is made and even when you
:04:46. > :04:53.challenge that decision somdtimes it just sticks. Thank you for joining
:04:54. > :04:56.us. The funeral of two`year`old Eileen Ellie`May Doran, who died
:04:57. > :04:59.after being hit by a revershng car in Oxfordshire two weeks ago, has
:05:00. > :05:02.been held this afternoon in Northampton. It follows a rdquiem
:05:03. > :05:05.mass at the Immaculate Concdption church in Bicester yesterdax. The
:05:06. > :05:08.accident happened on the Oaks View caravan park in nearby Upper
:05:09. > :05:10.Arncott. A 49`year`old man `rrested on suspicion of causing death by
:05:11. > :05:14.dangerous driving is currently on police bail. Ambitious plans to
:05:15. > :05:18.breathe new life into Abingdon town centre have suffered a setb`ck. A
:05:19. > :05:28.bid for ?4.5 million of Nathonal Lottery money's been turned down. ``
:05:29. > :05:31.nearly ?2 million. That's c`st doubt on the proposals to convert the
:05:32. > :05:35.Guildhall into a cinema, caf and conference venue. Tom Turrell
:05:36. > :05:38.reports. It's market day in Abingdon. And that means shoppers
:05:39. > :05:42.from the area head to the town centre, ready to spend their hard
:05:43. > :05:46.earned cash. But many here feel more needs to be done to pull in the
:05:47. > :05:54.punters. The town council s`ys the answer could lie here in thd Guild
:05:55. > :05:59.Hall. And it has plans to spend around ?4.5 million doing it up The
:06:00. > :06:03.building dates back to the 0400 s, but the idea is to bring it into the
:06:04. > :06:09.21st century. Turning rooms like these into a cinema and conference
:06:10. > :06:13.facilities like these. But the council has just been told hts bid
:06:14. > :06:22.for almost ?2 million of lottery funding has been rejected. So how do
:06:23. > :06:28.local people feel? We do nedd a cinema and I think that Abingdon is
:06:29. > :06:37.the reasonably pure pavement in the family. This town needs to be
:06:38. > :06:41.knocked down and started ag`in. But appearenlty it's by no means the end
:06:42. > :06:44.of the line for the project as the council say they will continue, but
:06:45. > :06:49.with a scaled down version. We wanted to have the place whdre
:06:50. > :06:53.people could come and meet `nd socialise carriageway. That is still
:06:54. > :06:59.going to be restricted becatse we will more be able to cost for it
:07:00. > :07:02.accurately. So, there is hope yet for Abingdon's new revamped Guild
:07:03. > :07:06.Hall, but it seems when and exactly what form that'll take are xet to be
:07:07. > :07:09.confirmed. An Oxfordshire cricket club, destroyed by fire aftdr being
:07:10. > :07:13.struck by lightning, says it's hopeful that insurers will cover the
:07:14. > :07:15.cost of rebuilding. Fire crdws were called to Banbury Twenty Crhcket
:07:16. > :07:20.Club on Ermont Way following Friday's thunder storm. The club's
:07:21. > :07:31.been run from the same site since the 1930s and all of its history and
:07:32. > :07:40.memorabilia were destroyed. A ball of lightning out of the blud. To
:07:41. > :07:46.stand and watch... We saw the smoke in the roof and we saw the whole
:07:47. > :07:49.place disappear in front of us. It was quite emotional. Quite
:07:50. > :07:52.emotional. Oxford's Civic Society says councils, businesses and other
:07:53. > :07:55.agencies need to work more closely together to deal with the
:07:56. > :07:58.development pressures which the county is facing. A report released
:07:59. > :08:01.this evening suggests a lack of leadership and highlights the
:08:02. > :08:04.pressure to build thousands of new homes over the next decade. The
:08:05. > :08:06.society says new properties should go near existing transport links,
:08:07. > :08:10.and growing communities must be sustainable. It also claims planners
:08:11. > :08:17.could learn from other citids, including Cambridge. Now yot may
:08:18. > :08:20.want to look away if you're eating right now, but a rather nasty
:08:21. > :08:23.blockage is going to be causing some major disruption in Oxford over
:08:24. > :08:26.Easter. These pictures show what happens when congealed fat `nd other
:08:27. > :08:33.non`soluble nasties are flushed into the sewer system. This build`up is
:08:34. > :08:39.described by Thames Water as a fatberg, and there's one beneath
:08:40. > :08:44.Hollybush Row in the city rhght now. It's so big that part of thd sewer
:08:45. > :08:47.has collapsed, and it's also causing the rest of the flow to back up
:08:48. > :08:50.flooding nearby homes and btsinesses with waste water. Clearance work and
:08:51. > :08:54.repairs will mean traffic h`s to be diverted. It's expected to take two
:08:55. > :08:57.weeks. You've heard of commtnity spirit? Well, when the locals take
:08:58. > :09:06.over running their village pub, there's community there and wine too
:09:07. > :09:09.of course. Recent years havd seen a great many rural pubs and vhllage
:09:10. > :09:12.shops saved from closure by those living nearby, neighbours b`nding
:09:13. > :09:16.together to buy and run the business for the benefit of all. As Sinead
:09:17. > :09:18.Carroll reports, it's a trend that's becoming more popular and more
:09:19. > :09:26.profitable. When Tackley's village shop closed, the community reopened
:09:27. > :09:31.one and that was a decade ago. It is nice to come and have a cup of
:09:32. > :09:38.coffee and a chat. I pick up my dry cleaning from you. It is nice to
:09:39. > :09:41.come with the kids. Now Tackley volunteers are helping a te`m in
:09:42. > :09:48.Bladon to set up their commtnity shop. We have got new houses being
:09:49. > :09:51.built and we are keen to have an immunity back in the villagd to cool
:09:52. > :09:56.the village together. Oxfordshire's community shops turn over around ?2
:09:57. > :10:01.million between them. We have 2 in Oxfordshire. Two more opened last
:10:02. > :10:10.year and we have interest from another to this year. The ptb has
:10:11. > :10:13.started to take off for people. It is a community space and whdn they
:10:14. > :10:24.lose that they do feel they have had the heart ripped out. One ydar after
:10:25. > :10:31.it reopened, this pub is not only succeeding, it is expanding. It was
:10:32. > :10:37.a great opportunity. It was the community aspect that got mx
:10:38. > :10:46.imagination going. I supposd we got was we just hit it off. Cooperatives
:10:47. > :10:59.are returning to Oxfordshird and so it seems is community spirit. Not a
:11:00. > :11:01.great weekend for our footb`ll teams. South today continues now
:11:02. > :11:25.with Sally Taylor. of dinosaurs arrive on the Hsle of
:11:26. > :11:29.Wight. A new container termhnal has been opened in Southampton. It is
:11:30. > :11:39.able to handle the largest container ships. Our transport correspondent
:11:40. > :11:46.was there. It has been a big day for the port.
:11:47. > :11:57.Here is one of the largest container ships in the world. The sailor
:11:58. > :12:04.signalled the loading of thd Golden container in recognition of his
:12:05. > :12:15.Olympic medals. From the top of the new cream, the scale of the project
:12:16. > :12:22.is clear. `` crane. This ond that carries 16 thousand boxes. To keep
:12:23. > :12:31.up with the global trend, the port had to keep up. It is not jtst what
:12:32. > :12:37.you can see. To get these ghant ships into port, a 25 mile channel
:12:38. > :12:46.has been dredged to make it the poor out past the Isle of Wight. We have
:12:47. > :12:54.some new cranes here, that `re much more technical and with controlled
:12:55. > :12:58.much more like an Xbox. Nearly half of everything that sells
:12:59. > :13:03.on the high street passes through here. It contributes ?1 million a
:13:04. > :13:11.year to the economy and it supports 1500 jobs. This is about Brhtish
:13:12. > :13:15.manufacturing and exports. Southampton is one of Britahn's
:13:16. > :13:19.major gateways. The ship's Captain points ott that
:13:20. > :13:26.Southampton had fallen behind the rest of the world. Finally, we have
:13:27. > :13:34.facilities for the big vessdls. We have used ports like this in China
:13:35. > :13:40.and we are lucky to have ond here in Southampton now. This immense
:13:41. > :13:56.Southampton's position as Britain's second busiest container port.
:13:57. > :14:02.We will have more in just if you moments time.
:14:03. > :14:05.Now, laughter could well be the best medicine ` if new research from
:14:06. > :14:07.Southampton University is to be believed. Guidebooks containing
:14:08. > :14:10.funny cartoons were given to patients with chronic kidnex disease
:14:11. > :14:13.to inform them about their condition. The trial found that the
:14:14. > :14:21.method could help people with long`term diseases understand and
:14:22. > :14:25.cope better. If you talk to people who h`ve got
:14:26. > :14:29.long`term conditions, they tse humour a lot. It helps people to
:14:30. > :14:33.cope, it helps people to talk to each other, and to understand. It is
:14:34. > :14:38.part of the human condition to use humour a lot in any case, in lots of
:14:39. > :14:41.situations. So I think it is a really good way of engaging people
:14:42. > :14:50.and getting people to think about things from a slightly quirky and
:14:51. > :14:57.different angle. Southampton decided today to publish the highlights of
:14:58. > :15:00.the last financial year. Southampton's new board of directors
:15:01. > :15:02.say they have inherited a "difficult financial situation" from their
:15:03. > :15:05.previous chairman, Nicola Cortese. Financial figures from their first
:15:06. > :15:10.year back in the Premier Le`gue show a net loss of just over ?7 lillion
:15:11. > :15:14.and the club is still to pax ?2 million in transfer fees. The cost
:15:15. > :15:17.of a new training ground has also doubled to ?30 million. Despite
:15:18. > :15:20.this, Saints say they are under no pressure to sell star players and
:15:21. > :15:30.now have "clear and structured plans in place to progress the cltb." What
:15:31. > :15:38.a win against Newcastle at the weekend. They finally stored before
:15:39. > :15:41.half time. Jay Rodriguez finally put Saints one`up after breaking the
:15:42. > :15:43.offside trap with Rickie Lalbert. Lambert himself grabbed a sdcond
:15:44. > :15:46.just after half`time, beford captain Adam Lallana produced the g`me's
:15:47. > :15:49.stand`out moment with a stunning 25`yard strike. Rodriguez then
:15:50. > :15:54.completed the rout, making ht four and moving Saints up to eighth.
:15:55. > :15:59.Now time for a round up of our teams in the Football League.
:16:00. > :16:05.Readings stay in the final draw in the championship after this draw.
:16:06. > :16:14.Filed in the area, the penalty converted. Reading's becoming a
:16:15. > :16:20.major concern, six matches without a win. Leicester and Burnley `re both
:16:21. > :16:30.due, so impressive away forl could be the key. Could Bournemouth join
:16:31. > :16:34.Reading in the play`offs? Top scorer got another two goals, incltding a
:16:35. > :16:41.penalty, to take his total for the season up to 19. Bournemouth are now
:16:42. > :16:52.four places behind Reading `` Reading. They play Harry Redknapp's
:16:53. > :16:58.QPR earn it weekend. `` next weekend.
:16:59. > :17:01.And on Late Kick Off tonight we ll have behind the scenes foot`ge from
:17:02. > :17:10.Pompey's win at Newport, including inside the dressing room, where Andy
:17:11. > :17:17.Awford got his message across. A penalty got things under wax. Here
:17:18. > :17:23.it comes. The striker picked himself up to score the goal. Newport's Adam
:17:24. > :17:31.Chapman was shown a straight red card. A great goal coming up from
:17:32. > :17:43.Jed Wallace. A fine header doubling Pompey's lead. Then Ismail Xakubu
:17:44. > :17:52.pulled a goal back for County. Big result for us, big performances
:17:53. > :18:01.Effort, commitment, desire. It would not be Pompey if it was not close to
:18:02. > :18:03.the wire. We will have behind`the`scenes
:18:04. > :18:09.footage from Pompey's win at Newport. Including this frol the
:18:10. > :18:13.dressing room. And Pompey Chairman Ian McInnes will join me live on the
:18:14. > :18:19.sofa. So that's Late Kick Off, BBC One, 11.25pm.
:18:20. > :18:22.Sholing are all`square with Eastbourne after the first leg of
:18:23. > :18:27.their FA Vase semi final ended two`all. The Boatmen went into the
:18:28. > :18:30.game as favourites and took an early lead through an own`goal, bdfore two
:18:31. > :18:35.Eastbourne goals looked to have put the visitors on course for `
:18:36. > :18:38.surprise victory. In the 83rd minute, Man of the Match Mike Carter
:18:39. > :18:42.pulled the Wessex League side level, leaving the tie delicately poised.
:18:43. > :18:50.One team who've already plaxed at Wembley is Broadstone Middld
:18:51. > :18:55.School's Under 13's girls tdam! Here they are yesterday, walking up the
:18:56. > :19:04.Wembley step, wearing Bourndmouth colours after they won the Football
:19:05. > :19:08.The's girls cup. It is a national six aside competition that over 700
:19:09. > :19:11.sides entered. Captain Mollx Pike scored the winner in a 1`0 victory
:19:12. > :19:13.over Thames Telford School hn the final. Brilliant memories for
:19:14. > :19:16.everyone to win at Wembley. In basketballl, needing just one
:19:17. > :19:19.more win to retain their Division One league title, Reading Rockets
:19:20. > :19:22.lost in the last three seconds to Worthing Thunder. With the trophy
:19:23. > :19:26.seemingly on its way to Reading Thunder's American Terrell Bell rose
:19:27. > :19:29.high to take the rebound and score off the glass to give his shde the
:19:30. > :19:33.Victory. The Rockets now have to beat Medway Park on Saturdax to win
:19:34. > :19:35.the league. They will be hopeful of doing that.
:19:36. > :19:41.Shall we stay with sport, bdcause one of our great sporting hdroes...
:19:42. > :19:45.Last week Sir Ben Ainslie told us he was planning to base his bid for the
:19:46. > :19:48.America's Cup here in the South The four time Olympic gold ledallist
:19:49. > :19:51.won the oldest and most prestigious prize in sailing last year `s
:19:52. > :19:53.navigator onboard an Americ`n backed boat.
:19:54. > :19:56.Earlier today I spoke to hil as he opened the new berth at
:19:57. > :19:59.Southampton's Container Terlinal and started by asking him how f`r his
:20:00. > :20:04.America's Cup plans had progressed. We really want to be based on the
:20:05. > :20:09.south coast, that is where the America's Cup started all those
:20:10. > :20:15.years ago in 1851, we have got a short list of two or three final
:20:16. > :20:21.venues, sailing here from ndxt year which is really exciting. So you
:20:22. > :20:26.don't know where to be prechsely? We haven't made that final dechsion. We
:20:27. > :20:34.are waiting for more inform`tion. We expected any day now. That decides
:20:35. > :20:40.the size of boat. Is it going to be the same as last year? We h`ve a
:20:41. > :20:49.pretty good idea of what thd size of boat will be. A see`72, flyhng
:20:50. > :20:56.around San Francisco Bay last time. How about the funding? You spent the
:20:57. > :21:02.best part of a year doing it. ? 0 million, is that the budget? It is
:21:03. > :21:12.around that figure, a lot of money to raise. It has been flat`out in
:21:13. > :21:15.trying to find investors. That is where British teams have fahled in
:21:16. > :21:24.the past, they haven't got the finance. Yes. It is sailing's
:21:25. > :21:30.version of Formula one. I h`ve got this little memento for you. Thank
:21:31. > :21:37.you, how late were you out last night baking that one? Enjox.
:21:38. > :21:41.I don't know what it tasted like but I'm sure it was very nice. We will
:21:42. > :21:45.hear more in the coming weeks from Ben. Under the weather. Havd you had
:21:46. > :21:55.your car covered in dust? Absolutely smothered.
:21:56. > :22:00.My car is covered in dust, `nd it is being blown really quickly over the
:22:01. > :22:03.Mediterranean and up to last. Vanessa Pickett captured thd dust on
:22:04. > :22:06.her car in Horndean in Hampshire. Grahame Howard photographed a common
:22:07. > :22:09.teal in the sunshine in Weylouth today. And Shaun Fisher took this

:22:16. > :22:18.A pleasant day today, we saw one or two showers pop`up, one or two
:22:19. > :22:26.thunderstorms could be this evening. There is quite a lot of
:22:27. > :22:30.pollution in the air. One of those things is the Saharan dust loving up
:22:31. > :22:34.from the south`east. Thunderstorms are a possibility, but once they
:22:35. > :22:41.clear, the sky will clear in places allowing mist and fog to form. Once
:22:42. > :22:49.these showers clear, the skhes will clear, allowing sea fog to develop.
:22:50. > :22:53.Temperatures falling to sevdn or nine Celsius. You can see the wind
:22:54. > :22:58.is coming in from the south`east, that may bring more dust up from the
:22:59. > :23:01.south`east. Sea fog may linger along the south coast, clearing p`rts of
:23:02. > :23:06.Hampshire and East Sussex. Ht moves westwards. Elsewhere, mist `nd fog
:23:07. > :23:10.should clear swiftly, sunny spells developing. A lot of high cloud
:23:11. > :23:16.around, it will not be wall`to`wall sunshine. Highs of 17 Celsits
:23:17. > :23:20.Inland, cooler along the co`st with that breeze. The breeze will stay
:23:21. > :23:24.with us over the course of the day tomorrow. Tomorrow evening `nd
:23:25. > :23:28.overnight, there is the risk of one or two showers. Becoming more
:23:29. > :23:31.frequent during the middle part of the night tomorrow, temperatures
:23:32. > :23:37.falling to a very mild ten to 1 Celsius. A dry start to the day on
:23:38. > :23:40.Wednesday, Wednesday may well be the warmest day of the week. We are
:23:41. > :23:46.expecting highs of 18 Celsits widely, in inland areas, along the
:23:47. > :23:51.coast, 16 Celsius. Elsewherd parts of Surrey and Sussex Inland could
:23:52. > :23:58.see temperatures soar to around 20 Celsius. A few rain showers for the
:23:59. > :24:02.western part of the country. It will stay mainly dry for most people
:24:03. > :24:07.There is a chance of those showers later on in the evening and
:24:08. > :24:10.overnight. Rain will affect us on Thursday, but by Friday we should
:24:11. > :24:17.see drier conditions. Thank you. It's a holiday snapshot
:24:18. > :24:21.that thousands of us must h`ve taken over the last 42 years, sat on giant
:24:22. > :24:24.plastic dinosaurs at Blackg`ng Chine on the Isle of Wight.
:24:25. > :24:27.They were lowered into placd by helicopter in 1972 as Dinos`ur Land
:24:28. > :24:30.opened its doors. Back then the static models were something to talk
:24:31. > :24:33.about but they're looking more dated in today's modern technologhcal age.
:24:34. > :24:36.And this weekend life`size animatronics were brought to the
:24:37. > :24:48.park as it reopened for the holiday season. Steve Humphrey reports. He
:24:49. > :24:53.has stuck out his scaly neck and take another look.
:24:54. > :24:57.On the south coast of the Isle of Wight are heard of dinosaurs has
:24:58. > :25:06.found a new home in a high security enclosure at Blackgang Chind. I
:25:07. > :25:09.think they are bit scary. I think they are really realistic, they are
:25:10. > :25:15.brilliant, one of them steered me on the way down. Even the smaller ones
:25:16. > :25:21.are quite scary because thex make loads of noise. It is reallx fluid.
:25:22. > :25:25.It doesn't look like there `re mechanics inside it. These
:25:26. > :25:28.animatronic dinosaurs are a big investment for the family that's
:25:29. > :25:31.been running this theme park since 1843, but the cost isn't behng
:25:32. > :25:39.revealed. In the summer, 80 people work here. People's expectations are
:25:40. > :25:47.continually evolving. We had to not just keep race with that, wd had to
:25:48. > :25:50.get ahead of that. To see the level of investment, time and effort that
:25:51. > :25:53.has gone into this project, to see the little ones running arotnd and
:25:54. > :25:59.enjoying it, seeing the smiles on their faces, that to us is the key.
:26:00. > :26:06.The Isle of Wight is no str`nger to dinosaur tourist attraction. Back in
:26:07. > :26:15.1972, the first family of moderate dinosaurs `` model dinosaurs were
:26:16. > :26:19.flown in live on Blue Peter. Lots of visitors witnessed the event for
:26:20. > :26:25.decades ago. John Noakes took part in the monster moving operation It
:26:26. > :26:28.was impossible to see into the valley where the monsters wdre being
:26:29. > :26:33.dropped. I could only see whndswept trees as they were carefullx lowered
:26:34. > :26:39.into position. I must say, they looked incredibly real sitthng in
:26:40. > :26:48.there new home. It was a grdat day for us. It was my first ever trip in
:26:49. > :26:54.a helicopter. Those original static dinosaurs took `` developed quite a
:26:55. > :26:58.fan club. Many people remember visiting them on trips to the Isle
:26:59. > :27:01.of Wight. Some of the original dinosaurs remain in the new
:27:02. > :27:11.attraction, but those old static models are now greatly outntmbered
:27:12. > :27:17.by their new animatronic cotsins. That is wonderful, isn't it? You can
:27:18. > :27:20.see Steve's report again and have a look at some more of your phctures
:27:21. > :27:28.from Dinosaur Land on our F`cebook page. Always send in your
:27:29. > :27:34.photographs. Tomorrow, tonight? There is a test on tomorrow. But
:27:35. > :27:40.tonight, Late Kick`off, Ian McGuinness is going to be whth us.
:27:41. > :27:45.Do join us for that. Good nhght
