:02:52. > :02:56.doing a very good job, it is easy to get into that mindframe. I think the

:02:57. > :02:59.course teaches you to see it differently and ask why the child is

:03:00. > :03:04.having a tantrum, and is there anything I can do to solve it.

:03:05. > :03:07.Parents are invited to group sessions. ReConnect was launched on

:03:08. > :03:13.a small scale in Oxfordshire, but has made a big difference for

:03:14. > :03:17.parents. They are better able to respond sensitively when the child

:03:18. > :03:20.is in distress, or crucially when the child looks like he or she is

:03:21. > :03:27.doing OK, but underneath they are suffering. The ReConnect project is

:03:28. > :03:30.now being extended by the NHS Trust to families in Buckinghamshire.

:04:44. > :04:51.has a progressive eye disease, so she has limited vision. I can tell

:04:52. > :04:58.there is something on it, but I can't see anything. It is thought in

:04:59. > :05:02.the UK there are nearly 2 million people with a sight problem which

:05:03. > :05:09.seriously affect their daily lives. Most, though, have at least some

:05:10. > :05:14.residual side. Researchers at Oxford University have developed a way to

:05:15. > :05:19.enhance this, using Smart glasses. They are fitted with a specially

:05:20. > :05:23.adapted 3`D camera will stop the images are processed and projected

:05:24. > :05:28.onto the lenses so people and objects nearby become bright and

:05:29. > :05:32.clearly defined. If you are walking around, you can navigate always,

:05:33. > :05:38.Seahouses on the floor that might trip you up, so you can be more

:05:39. > :05:46.independent. People have commented how they have seen a guide dog for

:05:47. > :05:53.the first time. This new prototype provides the clearest images yet.

:05:54. > :05:59.There they are. Lovely. Even since we have been down this corridor, it

:06:00. > :06:03.has improved. I can see you. I am just standing head talking, I am not

:06:04. > :06:08.thinking, I am looking. The researchers are confident in time

:06:09. > :06:12.they could be made this size of normal glasses. Eventually, they say

:06:13. > :06:14.they could be the cost of a mobile phone, saving the NHS millions by

:06:15. > :06:22.preventing falls. Finally, is anyone in your house

:06:39. > :06:45.I think it would be fair That's it from us. We're back

:06:46. > :06:59.in BBC Breakfast tomorrow morning. Good evening. We have had some

:07:00. > :07:03.lovely fine weather today. Plenty more fine conditions through the

:07:04. > :07:06.rest of this week. Tonight there is some dampness in the forecast.

:07:07. > :07:12.Generally staying quite mild through the course of the night, with

:07:13. > :07:17.tempters holding at 12`14 degrees. Dash`macro temperatures. Outbreaks

:07:18. > :07:21.of rain and drizzle first thing tomorrow, but it looks like that

:07:22. > :07:26.will generally ease away, drying up, and some brighter breaks

:07:27. > :07:32.developing into the afternoon. Top temperatures peaking at 20 degrees.

:07:33. > :07:33.Thursday, some bright intervals. It looks to be the warmest day

:07:34. > :07:34.days, a dip in temperature Friday with warmer temperatures over the

:07:35. > :07:44.weekend. The main theme through this week is

:07:45. > :07:48.one of mainly dry weather but with important variations from place to

:07:49. > :07:53.play sand from day-to-day. That was the case again today. A sizzling day

:07:54. > :07:59.across parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland. Plenty of sunshine. Not 1

:08:00. > :08:03.million miles away, down across the border into northern England, a lot

:08:04. > :08:07.more cloud and some places struggled to get higher than the mid-teens.

:08:08. > :08:10.This is where the thickest of the cloud is into the night. Across

:08:11. > :08:17.central and eastern parts of England, patchy rain turning up. A

:08:18. > :08:21.damp end to the night here. Clearer skies further north and west that

:08:22. > :08:26.some patches of fog forming. I humid night. The larger towns and cities,

:08:27. > :08:30.particularly across the North, temperatures will hold in the

:08:31. > :08:33.mid-teens for much of the night. A rather great start to the day for

:08:34. > :08:38.England and Wales, some dampness in the air. It could be a bit of a

:08:39. > :08:39.struggle to improve in some places, but for
