:00:25. > :00:26.Today, the prosecution's cl`imed he pushed a different girlfriend

:00:27. > :00:30.down the stairs when she was seven months pregnant.

:00:31. > :00:34.Victoria Cook spent the day at the hearing in Oxford.

:00:35. > :00:36.The prosecution told the jury today that Ben Blakely had

:00:37. > :00:40.had a number of girlfriends that he was violent towards in the past

:00:41. > :00:44.It was in 2007 when he was dating Kirsty Penford that she clahms he

:00:45. > :00:49.She was seven months pregnant at the time.

:00:50. > :00:54.Richard Latham QC said he only allowed her to wear make`up to

:00:55. > :00:58.He would regularly threaten to kill her when in a temper.

:00:59. > :01:04.He went on to say that, in 2011 he was violent towards another

:01:05. > :01:12.Significantly, he said, he tried to strangle her.

:01:13. > :01:14.The jury was told that Ben Blakely often confiscated mobile phones

:01:15. > :01:18.This afternoon, a member of staff from One Foot

:01:19. > :01:24.Forward, a youth hostel where Jayden was staying here in Oxford city

:01:25. > :01:27.centre, described meeting J`yden two weeks after she moved in.

:01:28. > :01:31.She told the court that Jayden's boyfriend wouldn't let her have

:01:32. > :01:34.a shower or use the toilet at the youth hostel.

:01:35. > :01:36.This statement prompted Ben Blakely to shout lies,

:01:37. > :01:44.The jury heard that, not long after this happened, Hannah Ryan helped

:01:45. > :01:46.Jayden Parkinson take a pregnancy test and that came out positive

:01:47. > :01:51.She then recalled the phone call that Jayden had made initially

:01:52. > :01:58.Jayden was repeating what Bdn said to her

:01:59. > :02:00.so that Hannah could understand and hear what was being said.

:02:01. > :02:02.She told the court she was saying, 'what's that?

:02:03. > :02:05.If I am pregnant, you're gohng to push me off a bridge?

:02:06. > :02:08.If you lay a finger on me, I will call the police'.

:02:09. > :02:15.Ben Blakely denies murder and the trial continues.

:02:48. > :02:50.The City Council believes there could be several hundred 'bdds

:02:51. > :02:57.in sheds' like these hidden in back gardens across the city

:02:58. > :02:59.Because they haven't been btilt in accordance with building

:03:00. > :03:01.regulations, there will be electrical safety

:03:02. > :03:02.issues, ventilation problems, adequate arrangement of rools.

:03:03. > :03:06.Everything that could be wrong, we are finding in beds in sheds

:03:07. > :03:09.The big problem for authorities is finding them in the first place

:03:10. > :03:13.One was discovered under construction in this street in

:03:14. > :03:18.Headington but from the strdet it would be almost impossible to tell.

:03:19. > :03:24.Just a few feet square, but intended for living in.

:03:25. > :03:28.The owner was eventually forced to demolish it himself.

:03:29. > :03:32.But with house prices 11 tiles the average salary in Oxford, it's easy

:03:33. > :03:38.At the moment we are seeing a really desperate shortage

:03:39. > :03:43.of affordable housing so people are left with few options.

:03:44. > :03:46.Unfortunately there are unscrupulous landlords out there who are taking

:03:47. > :03:51.advantage of these people and letting out substandard,

:03:52. > :03:55.unacceptable, illegal properties, and people have no option btt to

:03:56. > :04:01.The Government has taken its fight against unlawful houses to

:04:02. > :04:06.the air, analysing data collected from a spy plane it sent up in March

:04:07. > :04:12.It hopes its actions will stop families in Oxford ending up

:04:13. > :04:19.Thousands of cars built in Swindon are being recalled

:04:20. > :04:23.Honda says it will contact owners of vehicles thought to have

:04:24. > :04:28.A total of two million vehicles are affected worldwide.

:04:29. > :04:30.Among them are five models built at its Swindon plant

:04:31. > :04:38.It's only a few months since flooding caused widespread

:04:39. > :04:42.disruption in parts of the Thames Valley.

:04:43. > :04:44.As well as affecting hundreds of homes and businesses, many sporting

:04:45. > :04:49.With pitches flooded and fixtures cancelled, they were out of

:04:50. > :04:54.But, as Adina Campbell reports, with help, they're now getthng back

:05:01. > :05:04.But it's fair to say, the m`in pitch here at Aylesbury football club has

:05:05. > :05:11.For nearly 16 weeks, footballers were unable to play any homd games

:05:12. > :05:16.because of damage from the winter floods, causing the club to lose

:05:17. > :05:22.But repair work has now started to get things back to normal,

:05:23. > :05:33.thanks to more than ?6000 of cash from a Government lottery ftnd.

:05:34. > :05:36.There was a lot of sewage on the outside pitches.

:05:37. > :05:40.There was a hell of a lot of repair that needed to be done, so

:05:41. > :05:45.Almost ?25,000 of funding h`s been awarded to sports groups in our area

:05:46. > :05:50.including Henley Town Footb`ll Club, which has received ?2000.

:05:51. > :05:53.And nearly the same amount of money has been given to

:05:54. > :05:58.Bletchley Rugby Club and thd Town Cricket Club have also got

:05:59. > :06:05.But an even bigger amount of money has been given to

:06:06. > :06:12.This was how it looked back in February, the main pitch

:06:13. > :06:16.A lot of these clubs are the heart of their local colmunity,

:06:17. > :06:19.so it is the vibrancy of everyone playing there, the very

:06:20. > :06:26.talented or the people trying to get fitter for health reasons.

:06:27. > :06:29.The Academy team here and other squads within this club are now back

:06:30. > :06:31.to normal training sessions but without the thousands of pounds

:06:32. > :06:43.of funding from Sport England, this pitch wouldn't be in use.
