:00:18. > :00:23.Fiaz Munshi was found not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter.

:00:24. > :00:26.She's the final person involved in the fire who has now been brought

:00:27. > :00:36.Peter Cooke looks back at what prompted this revenge attack

:00:37. > :00:40.You have shown no emotional remorse for the death of these children.

:00:41. > :00:42.She denied her involvement from the very start.

:00:43. > :00:45.But has now been convicted of playing a central role

:00:46. > :00:50.Fiaz Munshi's victims aged just 8 and 15.

:00:51. > :00:53.This is where they and their futures died, Magdalen

:00:54. > :01:01.Majid Khan was a talented cricketer, described as humble and funny.

:01:02. > :01:09.His sister Anum, said to be gentle, polite, a girly girl.

:01:10. > :01:14.Their older brother Amjad had been involved in

:01:15. > :01:20.But his family disapproved, saying she was a bad influence,

:01:21. > :01:22.and told her relatives about the relationship.

:01:23. > :01:27.Scorned and outcast by her family she began a campaign

:01:28. > :01:33.That dispute led to her and seven others travelling to Oxford

:01:34. > :01:38.from Stevenage late one August evening ` with revenge in mind.

:01:39. > :01:43.She was heard to say, "Burn the house down".

:01:44. > :01:46.When the group arrived, two men from the group squirted petrol from

:01:47. > :01:50.drink bottles ` like these ` through the letterbox and set it alight.

:01:51. > :01:55.Seven people were in the house ` five had to jump

:01:56. > :01:59.But Anum was trapped and died of smoke inhalation.

:02:00. > :02:02.She was found lying in a ball under a window.

:02:03. > :02:05.Majid suffered over 50% burns and died a few days later.

:02:06. > :02:08.The murders shocked Oxford and hundreds turned out

:02:09. > :02:17.In November 1998 five men were convicted of killing Anum and Majid.

:02:18. > :02:24.A year later Fiaz's sister Riaz Munshi was convicted

:02:25. > :02:31.But Thames Valley Police made a serious error in 2005 ` which meant

:02:32. > :02:36.information about Fiaz being back in the UK was not processed properly.

:02:37. > :02:40.That meant plans to arrest her were delayed by eight years.

:02:41. > :02:45.As recently as last October Fiaz Munshi denied even being in Oxford

:02:46. > :02:56.You are fully aware of the events of that night

:02:57. > :02:59.and you set out intending to kill or cause previous harm to the people

:03:00. > :03:04.Just one of many lies she told about that night,

:03:05. > :03:09.lies not believed by the jury, lies which 17 years after these children

:03:10. > :03:15.As we heard in Peter Cooke's report, a number of other family members

:03:16. > :03:18.were in the house at the time of the fire, including Anum

:03:19. > :03:22.Then aged 21, she'd just returned home from university.

:03:23. > :03:26.She gave us her own tragic account of what happened that night.

:03:27. > :03:31.I remember looking out the window and I could see my mum running up

:03:32. > :03:38.There was fire at the front of the house and that is when I

:03:39. > :03:44.I was going back to the hallway to go to the back room

:03:45. > :03:48.where my younger sister was sleeping with me that night.

:03:49. > :03:51.Unfortunately, I couldn't get to her.

:03:52. > :03:55.I was looking at the window asking them to jump.

:03:56. > :04:02.She couldn't get back into the door because the fire had

:04:03. > :04:10.We won't accept it because they were so beautiful

:04:11. > :04:16.innocent children that have been taken away from us in a coward way.

:04:17. > :04:19.Police say it was their mistake which led to the long delay in Fiaz

:04:20. > :04:25.The Senior Investigating Officer from Thames Valley Police spoke to

:04:26. > :04:32.I apologise personally to the family that a mistake made

:04:33. > :04:36.in 2005 meant we couldn't bring this to justice that much earlier.

:04:37. > :04:39.We weren't responsible for the first issue.

:04:40. > :04:43.I know the investigation team did all they could to bring

:04:44. > :04:49.Well, Fiaz Munshi will return to Oxford Crown Court on Thursday

:05:25. > :05:30.Hassan Hallaq lived with his family in the city while he studied for a

:05:39. > :05:41.Last year Samar Hallaq helped to make this tapestry of Palestinian

:05:42. > :05:44.history, but she will never see it finished.

:05:45. > :05:48.On Sunday bombs fell in Gaza destroying Samar home.

:05:49. > :05:51.She, along with her two children and six other relatives were killed.

:05:52. > :06:02.Now her husband Hassan is fighting for his life in hospital.

:06:03. > :06:11.When you know a family well and they are destroyed, it hits home for more

:06:12. > :06:15.directly than reading about the numbers of people killed and

:06:16. > :06:19.injured. It changes things. Israel claims the bombing is

:06:20. > :06:25.against militants. Tonight in Oxford a vigil's been

:06:26. > :06:28.held for members of the Hallaq family, for many, their deaths have
