:01:00. > :01:04.The murder of Jayden Parkinson was shocking ` not least

:01:05. > :01:07.because the 17`year`old was pregnant with Ben Blakeley's baby.

:01:08. > :01:14.But such a violent act wasn't unexpected by everyone.

:01:15. > :01:17.They always used to say, he?s a bully, he?s controllhng.

:01:18. > :01:20.In the back of my mind, I always thought he could bd capable

:01:21. > :01:24.Sometimes I thought he could be a violent boyfriend.

:01:25. > :01:28.And being hit, no man should ever hit a wolan.

:01:29. > :01:34.This case has raised awarendss of domestic abuse,

:01:35. > :01:38.Police have called on victims to come forward,

:01:39. > :01:40.but campaigners say it?s difficult for women to escape once thdy

:01:41. > :01:45.Most women, if they do leave a violent

:01:46. > :01:50.and controlling relationship, will experience ongoing har`ssment.

:01:51. > :01:53.And if women don?t have accdss to the specialist support that can help

:01:54. > :01:55.them through that, that can be incredibly dangdrous,

:01:56. > :01:59.so it?s not as simple as saxing she should just go.

:02:00. > :02:03.By going, she could put herself at risk.

:02:04. > :02:05.This case leaves questions unanswered.

:02:06. > :02:10.Now a series of reviews will look at what went wrong.
