:00:47. > :00:49.able to learn for themselves but I think is a valuable skill as they

:00:50. > :02:16.get older. I find it quite funny watching everyone at 8am walking to

:02:17. > :02:20.the rise could be because of a lack of places that popular schools

:02:21. > :02:25.coupled with more learning available online. For this boy, is back to the

:02:26. > :02:34.Emergency services are trying to discover the circumstances of a

:02:35. > :02:37.house fire in which a man died in Kidlington.

:02:38. > :02:41.The alarm was raised this afternoon at the property in Willesdon Way.

:02:42. > :02:44.The fire is believed to have started in the roof.

:02:45. > :02:48.Police are looking for a man who grabbed and raped a female jogger

:02:49. > :02:51.whilst she was out running in Drayton near Abingdon.

:02:52. > :02:54.The attack took place along a bridleway adjacent to the A34

:02:55. > :03:00.around 8:30 last night. Police are appealing for witnesses.

:03:01. > :03:03.The re`trial of the broadcaster Dave Lee Travis who is from

:03:04. > :03:07.Buckinghamshire, has begun with the prosecution claiming he is an

:03:08. > :03:11.opportunist groper of women. The former Radio One DJ denies two

:03:12. > :03:18.counts of indecent assault and one of sexual assault.

:03:19. > :03:22.Dave Lee Travis was back in court today, the second trial he has faced

:03:23. > :03:26.here this year. He is back on trial because in the

:03:27. > :03:31.proceedings, the jury could not decide on two of the charges he

:03:32. > :03:36.so he is being retried on those and there is a third charge, a new

:03:37. > :03:41.charge that he is also facing during this trial. The prosecution opened

:03:42. > :03:46.the case today and the barrister for the prosecution said Dave Lee Travis

:03:47. > :03:50.is someone who has a propensity towards laying his hands in a sexual

:03:51. > :03:54.manner on young women who were alone with him or in vulnerable positions.

:03:55. > :03:59.She then went on to outline some of the charges he faces. One incident

:04:00. > :04:05.which was mentioned in the previous trial where it is alleged he groped

:04:06. > :04:09.a woman who came to visit him in a dressing room when he was playing

:04:10. > :04:13.in a pantomime. There was another woman who was a barmaid on the Isle

:04:14. > :04:18.of Man, she said he assaulted her, and then a third woman who was the

:04:19. > :04:23.subject of the new charge, she was working on the Mrs Merton Show in

:04:24. > :04:26.Manchester and she says she was having a cigarette outside his

:04:27. > :04:30.dressing room. He came out of talk to her and said, you shouldn't

:04:31. > :04:34.smoke, is bad for your lungs, and then began to touch her rib cage and

:04:35. > :04:38.then went on to touch her breasts. She said she was left shocked and

:04:39. > :04:42.bewildered and found the whole thing quite frightening. The case has

:04:43. > :04:47.opened, it continues next week. Dave Lee Travis himself denies all of the

:04:48. > :04:54.A bus service with a difference has launched in the centre of Oxford.

:04:55. > :04:58.The Oxford WaterBus will be trialled for the next six

:04:59. > :05:04.weeks. It's hoped it'll pull in the tourists and locals alike.

:05:05. > :05:08.The only way to travel. So says Oxford's newest transport company

:05:09. > :05:12.believes it's not just ducks who can get around using the city 's

:05:13. > :05:16.waterways. From tomorrow, the Oxford water bus will not be on the Thames

:05:17. > :05:21.but on the canal which runs parallel. We really are very keen on

:05:22. > :05:27.providing a low energy form of transportation for people to enhance

:05:28. > :05:32.the quality of life so if they are coming into work in the morning,

:05:33. > :05:37.having a much more relaxed start to the day and end to the day. Also

:05:38. > :05:41.just to provide something for the tourists. It will be taking

:05:42. > :05:46.passengers between Highbridge and Aristotle Lane, a journey of just

:05:47. > :05:51.over a mile which will take between 20 and 30 minutes. At a cost of ?10

:05:52. > :05:55.for a return ticket, will it get people out of their cars and onto

:05:56. > :05:59.the water? I think it's a great idea for tourists, I am sure they will

:06:00. > :06:02.love going on the waterways. It will appeal to some but whether it will

:06:03. > :06:05.appeal to all is another matter entirely. I would rather walk and

:06:06. > :06:09.take in the scenery than get on the boat. If it does not pull in

:06:10. > :06:14.commuters, some say the tourist market may be an easier one to

:06:15. > :06:18.win over. It opens up a part of the city which is really not a tourist

:06:19. > :06:21.destination and I think for many tourists, having the possibility of

:06:22. > :06:25.a short but very pleasant green canal trip would add to the

:06:26. > :06:29.excitement of coming to the city. Getting from A to B using the

:06:30. > :06:33.is not a bad way to travel but whether this business opportunity

:06:34. > :06:36.works for commuters or tourists will have to wait until the end of the

:06:37. > :06:45.The weather's next starting with the regional forecast with Sarah Farmer.

:06:46. > :06:49.That's it from us. Have a good weekend.

:06:50. > :06:54.For most tonight, it's a story of cloudy skies. There will be one

:06:55. > :06:57.or two holes but generally it is a cloudy night and

:06:58. > :07:01.maybe some patchy mist developing as well. Generally, a

:07:02. > :07:06.mild one with temperatures down to around 14 or 15 degrees. Any mist

:07:07. > :07:10.or fog will gradually lift away through the course of tomorrow

:07:11. > :07:14.morning. The cloud thinning and breaking through into the afternoon,

:07:15. > :07:17.an improving picture. Some sunny breaks and bright skies.

:07:18. > :07:22.Temperatures up to 20 degrees. Sunday, it looks to be another

:07:23. > :07:26.better day with a grey start but an improving picture with sunny

:07:27. > :07:32.in the afternoon. Time now for the national weather forecast.

:07:33. > :07:46.Hello. I am sure you cannot wait to find out what the weekend wet ler be

:07:47. > :07:51.like. I have to say -- weather will be like. I have to say it is looking

:07:52. > :07:55.good for most of us. Some of us may have to use our umbrellas, but

:07:56. > :08:02.hopefully for a short moment. This is the satellite today. You will

:08:03. > :08:05.notice this cloud, this is a weather forecast we have said for the past

:08:06. > :08:09.couple of days. Here it is, through this evening, it is affecting the

:08:10. > :08:13.north-east of England, the north-west of England, nudging into

:08:14. > :08:17.Wales. To the north of that we have cool, fresh conditions. To the

:08:18. > :08:23.south, cloudier areas w a bit of mist and fog. Mild, around 15-16

:08:24. > :08:29.Celsius. We start with the south of the country. This is 9am on Saturday

:08:30. > :08:33.and temperatures around 15-16 Celsius. Quite cloudy for a lot of

:08:34. > :08:38.us. It has been a repeating process for the last few days. We wake up to

:08:39. > :08:42.grey skies and have to wait a few hours until we see the sun. This is

:08:43. > :08:43.the front from the north. Across
