:00:08. > :00:11.There's anger with Thames W`ter after a pipe burst in Oxford

:00:12. > :00:15.50 houses were evacuated thhs morning

:00:16. > :00:19.It's the second time the main has burst on

:00:20. > :00:23.In 2007, residents were unable to live in their homes for months

:00:24. > :00:38.At around 5am, history repeated itself.

:00:39. > :00:41.One of the largest water pipes in the county burst,

:00:42. > :00:51.just like it did seven years ago, flooding Normandy Cresent again

:00:52. > :00:57.We had to spend hours moving everything upstairs and thinking of

:00:58. > :00:59.all the little things in thd house that could be ruined. It is

:01:00. > :01:01.everything on the ground floor, ruined.

:01:02. > :01:03.Within minutes, dozens of these Oxford homes were flooded.

:01:04. > :01:06.Another affected is Mark, whose family lived here last time

:01:07. > :01:19.They say the fracture happened within five metres of the previous

:01:20. > :01:23.one. If that pipe is rotten, why aren't they replacing it? Why does

:01:24. > :01:29.this have to be flooded out every seven years, ten years? People have

:01:30. > :01:33.been invited here to the lehsure centre, where they have been given

:01:34. > :01:37.food, drink, and the authorhties are making sure they have got somewhere

:01:38. > :01:46.to sleep night. The water gtshed in and it started filling up. Within a

:01:47. > :01:49.minute, the bedroom was filling up. I feel really sick.

:01:50. > :02:06.Carried out. We went through all of this before, people being moved out,

:02:07. > :02:10.all the damage and the rest of it. Residents need to know that that

:02:11. > :02:14.major water main is safe, and clearly it is not at the molent

:02:15. > :02:20.This very pipe burst seven xears ago. Unfortunately, it did happen. I

:02:21. > :02:25.don't speculate as to why that happened. Our key area of focus is

:02:26. > :02:28.to understand why it has happened and put actions into place to stop

:02:29. > :02:33.it happening again. Our key focus today is to get our customer's lives

:02:34. > :02:38.back to normal as quickly as possible. The water main has now

:02:39. > :02:42.stopped pumping gallons of water out and the road is virtually dried out,

:02:43. > :02:43.but for the people on Normandy Crescent whose homes were flooded,

:02:44. > :02:48.the clear up only just begun. A Romanian man has appeared

:02:49. > :02:51.in court charged with sexually It?s claimed he carried out

:02:52. > :02:56.the attacks on two roads in The man, who's 41, is chargdd with

:02:57. > :03:00.rape, attempted rape and thdft. He's been remanded in custody

:03:01. > :03:03.by magistrates. A man has been sent to jail

:03:04. > :03:06.for two years for setting fhre to Three cash machines on the high

:03:07. > :03:10.street were set alight in Jtne. Colin Aries, who's homeless,

:03:11. > :03:12.also started another fire, causing Detectives investigating thd murder

:03:13. > :03:23.of Swindon woman Becky Godddn say they're making significant progress

:03:24. > :03:26.in solving the case. Officers have now appealed

:03:27. > :03:29.for help to trace a car that they say was used in the crime

:03:30. > :03:33.but has been missing since 2004 The Volvo may have been sold

:03:34. > :03:36.at auction in Oxfordshire. Becky was last seen alive

:03:37. > :03:39.in late 2002. Her body was found more than eight

:03:40. > :03:53.years later in the Cotswolds. She was an amazing child at school.

:03:54. > :04:00.Top of the class all the tile. For Karen Edwards,

:04:01. > :04:02.the pain of losing her daughter It's three years since her body

:04:03. > :04:17.was found, but still no`one has The memories never go away. I still

:04:18. > :04:22.feel that it was so unjust, that somebody that murdered her has got

:04:23. > :04:26.away with it. You know, I h`ve got her back, I have been able to bury

:04:27. > :04:29.her, but somebody still needs to be convicted for her murder.

:04:30. > :04:32.Becky had fallen into drugs and by 2003 she'd lost touch with her

:04:33. > :04:35.It's around then police believe she was murdered.

:04:36. > :04:37.Her body was found in a field near Eastleach in Gloucestershire

:04:38. > :04:42.Detectives were lead there at the time by Swindon taxi driver

:04:43. > :04:47.He'd already admitted killing Sian O'Callaghan,

:04:48. > :04:50.but he couldn't be charged hn court with Becky's killing becausd police

:04:51. > :04:57.So, could this car hold the key to confirming the identity

:04:58. > :05:05.A silver Volvo S80 saloon that's not been seen since 2004.

:05:06. > :05:21.I believe that this car was used in the murder or during the murder of

:05:22. > :05:26.Becky Godden, which I am investigating. We can't find the

:05:27. > :05:28.car, and we are appealing for people to come forward if they havd got any

:05:29. > :05:30.information about it. Earlier this year,

:05:31. > :05:34.another bone belonging to Bdcky was Police are also analysing

:05:35. > :05:39.a large number of items found when What they hope now is that this

:05:40. > :05:44.Volvo can be recovered and that With a team of 20 officers still

:05:45. > :05:48.working on the case, they s`y they A huge barn fire has been btrning

:05:49. > :05:53.for most of the day in Bicester More than 2,000 tons of hay

:05:54. > :05:55.and straw were destroyed Four fire engines from across

:05:56. > :05:59.Oxfordshire attended the scdne. Crews from one are remaining

:06:00. > :06:08.on site to monitor the situ`tion. First Great Western services

:06:09. > :06:10.into London Paddington have been severely disrupted

:06:11. > :06:13.for a large part of the day. Two of the four lines through Slough

:06:14. > :06:16.were closed after a woman and her child were killed on the tr`ck.

:06:17. > :06:19.They were hit by a First Great Western train.

:06:20. > :06:21.Police are investigating what happened.

:06:35. > :06:45.Sarah Farmer has the weather forecast.

:06:46. > :06:47.We're back in BBC Breakfast tomorrow morning.

:06:48. > :07:03.Good evening. After a spell of dry days, we have at last got some rain

:07:04. > :07:06.in the forecast. It is approaching through the course of tonight and we

:07:07. > :07:10.can see some bursts through the course of this evening, one or two

:07:11. > :07:14.on the heavy side, but many of us seeing light, patchy rain.

:07:15. > :07:19.Temperatures holding out at around 12 degrees. Tomorrow morning, a damp

:07:20. > :07:22.affair to get the day going. We should see that weather front

:07:23. > :07:26.clearing to the south`east to the middle of the morning, and the

:07:27. > :07:44.high`fat dryer, brighter conditions. Highs of 17 Celsius. A chilly

:07:45. > :07:50.You've been sending us pictures of the fine weather. This one was taken

:07:51. > :07:53.by Keith Brown in the Peak District yesterday, enjoying the sunshine

:07:54. > :07:56.here. There's been a little more cloud around today across parts of

:07:57. > :07:59.the Peak District and we finished the day with cloudy skies across

:08:00. > :08:04.much of the UK. That's because there are a couple of weather fronts,

:08:05. > :08:07.picked out on the chart. You can see one moving south into the Midlands.

:08:08. > :08:12.Another one sitting through Scotland and Northern Ireland. Through the

:08:13. > :08:15.night, that rain is going to continue to move further south,

:08:16. > :08:19.merging together and behind it breaks in the cloud giving clearer

:08:20. > :08:25.spells, but still a few showers around the coast. Our temperatures

:08:26. > :08:28.by dawn are ten to 13. Still the legacy of cloudier skies across the

:08:29. > :08:33.south and South Wales first thing in the morning. With a few showers

:08:34. > :08:37.around. Things will improve here as that clears eastwards. Brighter

:08:38. > :08:39.skies further north, but a noticeable north-westerly breeze

:08:40. > :08:40.across the country
