:00:16. > :00:19.Good evening. More than a decade after a huge explosion and fire at

:00:19. > :00:22.a waste plant in a Gloucestershire village, people living there are

:00:22. > :00:24.being told it hasn't affected their health. The site in Sandhurst

:00:24. > :00:28.caught fire in October 2000. A toxic cloud of chemicals blew

:00:28. > :00:31.across the local area. Health officials have said today there is

:00:31. > :00:37.no significant evidence of any damage to people's well being. But

:00:37. > :00:43.some locals remain to be convinced. It is the explosion that spread

:00:43. > :00:47.toxic chemicals over Sandhurst and surrounding villages. A decade on

:00:47. > :00:57.4,000 are being monitored for patterns of illness and death. So

:01:16. > :01:19.whole with Sandhurst. There are still those that are finding it

:01:19. > :01:28.hard to reconcile the official statement with their own personal

:01:28. > :01:31.experiences of the cancer and enormous. -- and sickness. People

:01:31. > :01:34.like Rachael Hyde who has had cancer of the thyroid. Her first

:01:34. > :01:37.husband died last year after suffering from cancer of the

:01:37. > :01:40.esophagus and she believes many others who lived in the village at

:01:40. > :01:43.the time of the explosion are also suffering because of exposure to

:01:43. > :01:49.toxic fumes. The people that have lived actually in Sandhurst, they

:01:49. > :01:53.are people who are having very unusual illnesses. Why? How can it

:01:53. > :01:57.be? The official findings have been independently verified and the

:01:57. > :02:07.study will continue for 10 years for some, though the worry is the

:02:12. > :02:15.Works of art in Cheltenham have been vandalised less than 24 hours

:02:15. > :02:20.after they were installed. Life- size horse sculptures were placed

:02:20. > :02:23.around the town. Two of them were damaged over the weekend. They were

:02:23. > :02:30.commissioned as part of the Town's marking of the National Hunt

:02:30. > :02:34.Festival's centenary. These horses are works of art out on public

:02:34. > :02:39.display and we had hoped that that respect would have been shown by

:02:39. > :02:43.the public. I think on the whole it is but it is just a small group of

:02:43. > :02:48.people who have decided to vandalise the horses in such a

:02:48. > :02:57.terrible way. Ten horses have been placed around the town. They are

:02:57. > :03:00.due to be there until October. Bristol's Harbour Festival might

:03:00. > :03:04.not be run again next year. The council estimates more than a

:03:04. > :03:07.quarter of a million people came to the city this weekend. But the cost

:03:07. > :03:10.to the public purse of putting the event on, and a potential clash

:03:10. > :03:16.next year with the Olympics in London, have cast some doubt over

:03:16. > :03:19.its future. And now a sneak preview of

:03:19. > :03:22.something coming up on Points West this week. We are inside the

:03:22. > :03:26.private world of the man behind one of the West's biggest sporting

:03:26. > :03:31.clubs. Here's our sports editor. I have come to southern France to

:03:31. > :03:35.talk to the owner of Bath Rugby Club. Few outside the business had

:03:35. > :03:41.ever heard of him a year ago and it has not really changed as he has

:03:41. > :03:45.kept a low profile. Well this is it. He lives in this spectacular house

:03:45. > :03:52.high in the hills above the city and he talks excuse some League Two

:03:52. > :03:56.as about his love of rugby and his dream of making Bath the top club

:03:57. > :04:01.in Europe. He explains why he loves all things French and rugby in

:04:01. > :04:05.equal measure and why he is investing so much money in the club

:04:05. > :04:15.that he supported as a boy. That is Bruce Gray be talking tomorrow

:04:15. > :04:20.Let's see what happening with the weather. Another mild and muggy

:04:20. > :04:26.night tonight. It will fluffy other -- cloud over and produce some

:04:26. > :04:30.heavy downpours would temperatures no lower than 16 or 17. Tomorrow

:04:30. > :04:34.morning should clear the rain away and then there will be a chance a

:04:34. > :04:39.shower throughout the day but it should be fine and dry with good

:04:39. > :04:43.spells of sunshine and temperatures of about 25 degrees. Warm and humid
