:03:35. > :03:37.There are fears tonight that Somerset's rivers could burst their
:03:38. > :03:41.banks after more heavy rain and a high tide on the way. Environment
:03:42. > :03:46.Agency staff have been monitoring the River Parrett since first light
:03:47. > :04:01.this morning. Our reporter is at Burrowbridge. How is it looking The
:04:02. > :04:05.Environment Agency staff are still here this evening. They have been
:04:06. > :04:10.looking to see how the level is rising. It has just started raining
:04:11. > :04:15.again. We have seen local people coming out to check how it might
:04:16. > :04:21.affect their properties. Giant sandbags lining the river. Will it
:04:22. > :04:27.be enough to protect people? This swollen river is Somerset's
:04:28. > :04:32.main route out to sea. The Parrett is almost overflowing. And so
:04:33. > :04:39.sandbags are the first line of defence. On an industrial scale
:04:40. > :04:48.stretching as far as the eye can see. There is a good chance it will

:04:56. > :05:02.6am this morning, hundreds of tonnes of sand were donated by an Essex

:05:12. > :05:16.he had to help. We put a team of ten people together to put the sand in

:05:20. > :05:21.the position to place the bags. Emergency vehicles and Government
:05:22. > :05:24.staff are crisscrossing the Levels. Today the Environment Agency said
:05:25. > :05:31.despite its biggest ever pumping operation, the water here will take
:05:32. > :05:39.weeks to clear. Many people will tell you they are already fed up
:05:40. > :05:43.with waiting. This is the problem. You get a couple of hours of rain
:05:44. > :05:48.and because it is falling on field that are saturated with water,
:05:49. > :05:51.instead of soaking in it runs straight off and into the lowest
:05:52. > :05:55.point it can find. Sand, it seems, is the simplest solution. The best
:05:56. > :05:58.barrier to keep back these bulging river banks The spring tides this
:05:59. > :06:06.weekend will slow down the flow on these rivers. It is the conditions
:06:07. > :06:14.for Castro there is weekend that have those living here worried. ``
:06:15. > :06:18.forecast for this weekend. It will put more houses at the rate. It is

:06:23. > :06:33.soaked and sodden scenery to cope with.
:06:34. > :06:38.The mood here has been a little bit different. Over the last few days
:06:39. > :06:42.there has been a lot of anger and frustration, people filling the
:06:43. > :06:46.central government, the local council, were not doing enough to
:06:47. > :06:49.help people on the ground. Today people have been less concerned
:06:50. > :06:54.about what has happened so far and looking ahead to the weekend and
:06:55. > :06:57.hoping that if it is bad over the weekend the authorities and
:06:58. > :07:08.everybody are better prepared. Other parts of the west are also
:07:09. > :07:11.braced for flooding. There are three severe warnings in place across the
:07:12. > :07:17.River Severn. This map gives you an idea of the scale of the problem.
:07:18. > :07:21.The Environment Agency is regularly giving updates on their online flood
:07:22. > :07:25.map. Temporary flood barriers have also been put up in the Cumberland
:07:26. > :07:28.basin in Bristol. There are concerns that the water could go over the
:07:29. > :07:31.harbour walls. Bristol is on an amber warning, as some tidal
:07:32. > :07:36.flooding is expected. Another wet weekend in store. Is
:07:37. > :07:42.there any end in sight? Notch next week. Next week could be worse than

:08:45. > :08:49.and Rachel Goodchild, with brothers Robert and Alex Morris, came to
:08:50. > :08:53.Gloucestershire to get the money. They tracked Curtis Woodman down at
:08:54. > :08:58.his business where he claimed he was kidnapped. He got into their car for
:08:59. > :09:01.a drive and in this lay`by told police he was forced to transfer

:09:06. > :09:10.court Mr Woodman had said, "Why are you defending them? They're
:09:11. > :09:12.prostitutes". Robert admitted punching Curtis Woodman in a field
:09:13. > :09:16.for "disrespecting his girlfriend", one of the defendants. After driving
:09:17. > :09:19.to a house Mr Woodman was renovating, which he claimed he
:09:20. > :09:23.would sell to pay them, he was eventually dropped off two miles
:09:24. > :09:27.away. Curtis Woodman told the jury, "I was in fear of my life. I wasn't
:09:28. > :09:34.thinking straight". But today the jury decided he'd made up the kidnap

:09:59. > :10:03.feel amazing. The right verdict has come across. We were never guilty.
:10:04. > :10:08.It is horrible. I am fighting for my liberty and I should not be. They
:10:09. > :10:11.had no case to prove. Alex Morris pleaded guilty to possessing a knife
:10:12. > :10:15.and was found guilty of robbing Curtis Woodman of a Breitling watch

:26:00. > :26:08.warning `` with a warning for ice. Some of that will be as snow. For
:26:09. > :26:13.Saturday, we go on to a wind warning and that will be catering for the
:26:14. > :26:23.potential of winds touching 50` 0 mph. The reason for that is this
:26:24. > :26:29.area of low pressure rotating with the early rain clearing away
:26:30. > :26:32.towards. Towards the end of Saturday there's no real change to that. If
