:00:13. > :00:15.Good evening. Young farmers from significant -- end of the season.

:00:16. > :00:18.Good evening. Young farmers from across the country have been in

:00:19. > :00:24.Somerset helping to rebuild farms and recover farmland devast`ted by

:00:25. > :00:27.the floods. One couple, who've been farming in Moorland for 40 xears,

:00:28. > :00:31.say they would have struggldd to recover without the support of the

:00:32. > :00:35.local farming community. Here's Jules Hyam.

:00:36. > :00:39.The floods have certainly ldft their mark here at Batten Farm. The water

:00:40. > :00:42.level at its highest was around three and a half feet but jtst

:00:43. > :00:46.because the water's now gond doesn't mean that everything is suddenly

:00:47. > :00:51.back to normal. Instead of dnjoying their farmstead home, the Hhtchings

:00:52. > :00:55.are living in a caravan. Thd view out across their farm is not what it

:00:56. > :01:04.once was. All this has to bd cleared, all of the barn buhldings

:01:05. > :01:13.pulled down. It has really been awful, worse than

:01:14. > :01:20.awful. It took us a fortnight to realise the situation. It w`s such a

:01:21. > :01:25.shock. Everything went. To see it coming up and you got no control,

:01:26. > :01:29.you just can't describe it. It will take months for Batten Farm

:01:30. > :01:35.to recover, weeks just to clear the land, but the Hutchings are getting

:01:36. > :01:42.some help from younger farmdrs. They are just really struggling As

:01:43. > :01:49.you can see, it is just uttdr devastation. So we want to do our

:01:50. > :01:52.bed to help the community. And that's meant lifting, c`rrying

:01:53. > :01:57.and clearing this farm and several others like it.

:01:58. > :02:05.We came back here and wondered how on earth do we get started? This is

:02:06. > :02:10.the third week and the helpdrs have been brilliant.

:02:11. > :02:13.Weston`super`Mare's been told to clean up its sea water or rhsk

:02:14. > :02:18.having its beaches closed to bathers. The Environment Agdncy says

:02:19. > :02:26.it doesn't meet new European standards of cleanliness ovdr sewage

:02:27. > :02:30.levels in the water. The resort town has until next year to meet the new

:02:31. > :02:34.regulations. The National Museum of the Royal

:02:35. > :02:38.Navy has paid ?5,000 to buy a bell that spent 70 years as a garden

:02:39. > :02:41.ornament in Bristol. The First World War ship's bell originally belonged

:02:42. > :02:45.to the German vessel SMS Grosser Kurfurs, which took part in the

:02:46. > :02:53.bombardment of the east coast in 1914. It was sunk after the war but

:02:54. > :03:00.raised for scrap in 1938. The rare bell is now heading to the luseum at

:03:01. > :03:03.Portsmouth historic dockyard. Army veterans led the annual Back

:03:04. > :03:07.Badge march through Gloucester this afternoon. The event saw thd reunion

:03:08. > :03:11.of the former Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Reghment.

:03:12. > :03:14.The regiment was awarded thd Back Badge in 1801 when it held off

:03:15. > :03:19.repeated attacks by Napoleon's troops.

:03:20. > :03:23.In football, it's been an afternoon of what might have been for our

:03:24. > :03:26.teams. Yeovil and Bristol Chty both threw away two goal leads bdfore

:03:27. > :03:31.being held to draws in their respective games against Bolton and

:03:32. > :03:34.Colchester. Cheltenham also had a two goal lead at Wimbledon before

:03:35. > :03:41.conceding three goals but fhghting back to secure a draw. Swindon won

:03:42. > :03:44.at home, thanks to a second half penalty.

:03:45. > :03:47.Well, it's back to league action for our rugby sides this weekend. In the

:03:48. > :03:51.Premiership, Gloucester staxed in control to beat Newcastle bx 40`31.

:03:52. > :03:59.Bath are on the road later, looking to keep hold of third place away at

:04:00. > :04:03.London Irish. Kick off at 5:30pm. It's a sunny start for many of us.

:04:04. > :04:06.Let's get the weather now whth Elizabeth Rizzini.

:04:07. > :04:12.The showers are likely to rtmble on for a time for many areas this

:04:13. > :04:15.evening. You will want to w`tch out for a few icy stretches into

:04:16. > :04:19.tomorrow morning and perhaps just a touch of rural frost, particularly

:04:20. > :04:23.in sheltered spots. A rather chilly night to come. By the time we get

:04:24. > :04:26.into tomorrow morning, it is a much drier picture and there will be some

:04:27. > :04:29.lovely spells of sunshine. Still some showers but mostly confined to

:04:30. > :04:36.northern areas of Gloucestershire, down to parts of Wiltshire. Top

:04:37. > :04:43.temperatures tomorrow just scraping into double figures. Still ` fairly

:04:44. > :04:47.brisk north`westerly wind. There will be quite a sharp frost on

:04:48. > :04:50.Sunday night into Monday underneath largely clear skies. Clouding over

:04:51. > :04:54.on Monday morning and we will start to see some wet weather frol the

:04:55. > :04:58.West. That's all from the Points West team

:04:59. > :05:01.for tonight. We're back with bulletins tomorrow. Your BBC local

:05:02. > :05:04.radio station and online can keep you up to date in the meanthme. For

:05:05. > :05:28.now, from me, have a lovely evening. The Wind a lot showers around at the

:05:29. > :05:35.moment, still hale and thunder too. As we turn the wind north-westerly,

:05:36. > :05:40.these areas will bear the brunt of the showers overnight. A chilly

:05:41. > :05:47.night, a touch of frost in rural areas. A few showers first thing.

:05:48. > :05:52.Sunshine too. Cloud will bubble up and showers will develop in England

:05:53. > :05:56.and Wales. The main focus in the afternoon is an eastern areas.

:05:57. > :06:00.Across Wales and the south-west very few showers all day. The

:06:01. > :06:05.north-westerly wind lines the showers up in the afternoon. East

:06:06. > :06:08.Anglia and parts of Lincolnshire and Yorkshire could see quite a few

:06:09. > :06:13.showers. Hit or miss. All or nothing. Showers easing down in the

:06:14. > :06:16.afternoon for Northern Ireland. The south-west of Scotland should be

:06:17. > :06:17.largely drive. More showers
