:00:10. > :00:15.Good evening. A Bristol wom`n who has been waiting for a kidndy for 11
:00:16. > :00:28.years is calling for more pdople to become donors. Her appeal comes at a
:00:29. > :00:31.time of crisis for the transplant service with a desperate shortage of
:00:32. > :00:33.donors among black, Asian and minority ethnic people. Our Health

:00:42. > :00:45.Aneesha has just been given a kidney, but Maureen is still
:00:46. > :00:48.waiting. So, three times a week she comes to Southmead Hospital for her
:00:49. > :00:53.blood to be cleaned. And, after 11 years, waiting time is runnhng out.
:00:54. > :00:58.I am running out of places to have dialysis. I am suffering

:01:31. > :01:36.2% of kidney donations to strangers come from this group.
:01:37. > :01:42.That's why the Lord Mayor is trying to sign up as many people from this
:01:43. > :01:53.community as he can to donate their organs. There are some myths, some
:01:54. > :01:58.individuals believe there are religious barriers. The way God sent
:01:59. > :02:06.us into this world is the w`y we should leave. That is not true.
