:00:12. > :00:14.Good Evening. A woman is recovering in hospital
:00:15. > :00:19.this evening, after being rescued by helicopter from the top of Wells
:00:20. > :00:23.Cathedral. The woman, who is 68, was on a high level tour of the building
:00:24. > :00:31.when she fell more than 20 feet and became stuck in between two walls.
:00:32. > :00:34.Rescue teams on top of Well's Cathedral's tallest tower. They're
:00:35. > :00:36.working out how to move a 68`year`old woman who's trapped and
:00:37. > :00:39.severely injured below. 180 feet down, emergency teams and paramedics
:00:40. > :00:51.parked alongside one side of this cathedral are using ropes to try and
:00:52. > :00:57.reach her. We quickly established that the lady had sustained a fall
:00:58. > :01:01.within the tower. This was within two wars in a very confined space.
:01:02. > :01:05.It was clearly going to be a very difficult rescue because of the
:01:06. > :01:08.location and the extent of her injuries. As people watched the
:01:09. > :01:12.rescue in progress, a statement from the cathedral said the woman had
:01:13. > :01:16.been on a walking tour. The High Places Tour says groups will get to
:01:17. > :01:20.see parts of the tower out of sight for normal tourists. But somehow the
:01:21. > :01:28.woman fell around 30 feet and became wedged on the way down, trapped and
:01:29. > :01:33.suspended for more than three hours. The tour group was right up there at
:01:34. > :01:39.the very top of the towers. It is not clear how this lady fell. These
:01:40. > :01:41.tours have now been suspended until they work out what exactly went
:01:42. > :01:44.wrong. Her saviour arrived, hovering high in the heavens. A stretcher was
:01:45. > :01:48.lowered down and the 68`year`old woman was finally winched to
:01:49. > :01:56.hospital. She's said to have broken wrists, a broken pelvis and
:01:57. > :02:03.suspected abdominal injuries. We are going to investigate, obviously we
:02:04. > :02:06.will ask the questions stop when we have at that answers we will Despite
:02:07. > :02:09.her extensive injuries, rescuers said she was lucky not to be more
:02:10. > :02:13.seriously hurt. Decide what actions to take.
:02:14. > :02:16.A Wiltshire police officer has been cleared of assault and misconduct
:02:17. > :02:22.after firing a Taser stun gun into the chest of a naked suspect. PC Lee
:02:23. > :02:25.Birch left court after the jury recorded its not guilty verdict in
:02:26. > :02:29.just 60 minutes. They reached their decision after watching CCTV of the
:02:30. > :02:36.officer firing the electronic stun gun into the chest of Daniel Dove.
:02:37. > :02:41.Around 50 homes were evacuated in Weston`super`Mare today after a fire
:02:42. > :02:43.at a car workshop. A cordon was set up around Beaufort Road after fears
:02:44. > :02:47.the building contained cylinders that could explode. One man was
:02:48. > :02:53.taken to hospital and two others were treated at the scene. The cause
:02:54. > :02:56.of the fire is unknown. Swindon Town footballer, Nile
:02:57. > :03:00.Ranger, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of criminal damage at Swindon
:03:01. > :03:04.Magistrates. He was released on bail, but must report to a local
:03:05. > :03:11.police station two days a week until his trial in July. Swindon
:03:12. > :03:14.Magistrates also heard the striker has to make three more court
:03:15. > :03:19.appearances for various charges of drink`driving and criminal damage.
:03:20. > :03:22.The leader of the UK Independence Party, Nigel Farage, is hosting a
:03:23. > :03:25.rally in Bath tonight on the day he launched his party's South West
:03:26. > :03:29.campaign for the European elections. UKIP is predicted by many to come
:03:30. > :03:34.first next month when voters head to the polling stations. Our political
:03:35. > :03:38.editor, Paul Barltrop, reports. He loves to be different. Not for
:03:39. > :03:44.Nigel Farage, the typical electioneering. Intead he was soon
:03:45. > :03:48.in a Bath pub. His love of pints and fags go down well with some voters.
:03:49. > :03:51.So does his hostility to the EU, even though withdrawal would be
:03:52. > :03:58.decided by members of Parliament in Westminster not Brussels. It is a
:03:59. > :04:01.chance for people to express an opinion. I don't meet many people in
:04:02. > :04:05.Bath or elsewhere who are happy being part of a political union with
:04:06. > :04:11.Europe which costs us a great deal of money and means we have given up
:04:12. > :04:16.control of our borders. This will make a difference in membership. The
:04:17. > :04:22.stronger UKIP get, the more we are shifting the sense of the gravity of
:04:23. > :04:27.the UK debate. Several other smaller parties competing in the South West
:04:28. > :04:30.have also advocated withdrawal. We are extremely Eurosceptic. One of
:04:31. > :04:33.the distinguishing features of our party is that we, in common with the
:04:34. > :04:39.SNP, would like to advocate association with the union to be
:04:40. > :04:44.dissolved. We have campaigned for that. If we have a referendum on
:04:45. > :04:49.that or a yes vote on that, that would kill two birds with one stone.
:04:50. > :04:52.A combination of the Asylum Treaty and the Human Rights Convention make
:04:53. > :04:56.it almost impossible for someone who lands in this country, by hook or by
:04:57. > :05:00.crook, to be expelled. That is what we have seen for the last 50 years.
:05:01. > :05:04.The Asylum Convention is a particular bugbear of ours. In
:05:05. > :05:10.combination with the Human Rights Convention it makes things very
:05:11. > :05:15.difficult. More than 1000 came to watch, though not all were UKIP
:05:16. > :05:20.supporters. He hinted that his next objective may be a British
:05:21. > :05:23.Parliamentary by`election. If we get this by`election in the summer on
:05:24. > :05:26.the back of UKIP winning the European elections, we have a strong
:05:27. > :05:35.chance of winning our first seat in Westminster. A rousing reception
:05:36. > :05:38.from the thousand strong audience. There is only one Nigel Farage. A
:05:39. > :05:45.challenge for UKIP will be maintaining momentum over the next
:05:46. > :05:49.few weeks. Bristol Rugby have announced some
:05:50. > :05:52.new signings today. Amongst them, Scottish international Ross Rennie
:05:53. > :05:57.who made his move from Edinburgh a permanent one. Also arriving at the
:05:58. > :06:05.club will be Mosley back row, Olly Robinson, who's the son of Bristol's
:06:06. > :06:11.director of rugby, Andy Robinson. It is hard work for him. It is vital
:06:12. > :06:16.that he is able to come here and work really hard like every other
:06:17. > :06:21.player. Sometimes it is even harder for people who are related. They
:06:22. > :06:30.have two put work in to get their starting position. Jeremy Paxman has
:06:31. > :06:37.Newsnight over on BBC Two looking at the truth behind the latest cancer
:06:38. > :06:45.survival figures. Varying amount of sunshine and cloud tomorrow. Most of
:06:46. > :06:56.you will see a dry day. Some rain in the south`west from. A dry night, to
:06:57. > :07:02.bridges between five to eighth in the years. Some folk around. Taking
:07:03. > :07:09.a little while for the fog to break up and lift. Things will brighten
:07:10. > :07:16.up. A fair amount of sunshine by the afternoon. A scattering of showers
:07:17. > :07:19.which many areas will avoid. In the evening, this front introduces
:07:20. > :07:27.fragmentary rain which creeps north`eastwards. Temperatures up to

:07:34. > :07:43.some sharp showers. It will be colder still on Friday.
:07:44. > :07:46.Hello again, the holiday weekend is not far-away. We are still expecting
:07:47. > :07:55.the weather to change significantly before then. Some patchy rain from
:07:56. > :07:58.northern Scotland tomorrow. There is a lot of cloud coming in from the
:07:59. > :08:06.North Sea which is pushing its way inland. There could be quite a bit
:08:07. > :08:07.of fog around in the morning. It should be
