:00:13. > :00:17.Good evening. Thousands of people have been queuing for water in

:00:18. > :00:23.supermarket car parks, becatse much of Burnham`on`Sea has no water

:00:24. > :00:26.supply tonight. Patients have had to be moved out of the town's hospital

:00:27. > :00:29.and 23,000 properties are still without water. Our reporter, Alice

:00:30. > :00:37.Bouverie, is at the site of the problem and joins us now. Alice

:00:38. > :00:43.what is the latest? The latest is that the repahr is

:00:44. > :00:49.fixed and things are starting to get back to normal. You join me on A38

:00:50. > :00:57.Bridgwater Road. This is whdre it started this morning. Then there is

:00:58. > :01:16.a pipe that feeds an underground storage reservoir. This plate got a

:01:17. > :01:19.leak this morning. `` pipe. The storage tank ran dry and by the

:01:20. > :01:25.middle of the day there was no water. Patients had to be moved to

:01:26. > :01:36.another hospital and people started to queue in supermarket car parks. A

:01:37. > :01:46.lot of water has been handed out today. It affected a huge ntmber of

:01:47. > :01:54.people, 24,000 or so. Peopld have taken it with good humour. Xou do

:01:55. > :01:58.not realise how it affects xou, a water turn`off. You go to the tap,

:01:59. > :02:02.turn it on, and you expect the water to flow. But on this occasion, you

:02:03. > :02:11.turn the tap and there is no water at all. You go to wash your hands

:02:12. > :02:14.and there is nothing there! We haven't been able to do any

:02:15. > :02:22.washing`up or washing hands after you go to the toilet. Fortunately,

:02:23. > :02:27.we have got buts in the garden so we can flush the toilets. Together the

:02:28. > :02:35.later we have this man from Bristol Water. The problem has been fixed

:02:36. > :02:40.and we are now filling up the tank and testing the water quality. Then

:02:41. > :02:47.we will start to bring the water back into the supply area. We need

:02:48. > :02:53.to make sure there is no air in the system will stop we apologise to

:02:54. > :03:00.customers. It has been an inconvenient day. We need things to

:03:01. > :03:05.go write this evening. We hope that the water will be back on in the

:03:06. > :03:22.early hours of the morning. Hopefully things will return to

:03:23. > :03:24.normal will stop thank you. Political leaders and ordin`ry

:03:25. > :03:28.Bristolians have shared an dvening paying tribute to the former city MP

:03:29. > :03:31.Tony Benn, who died in March. A controversial figure, he served as

:03:32. > :03:34.the Labour MP for Bristol South East from 1950 until 1983, champhoning

:03:35. > :03:38.socialism all his later lifd. His funeral was held in Westminster but

:03:39. > :03:45.tonight it was the turn of Bristol to pay its respects.

:03:46. > :03:48.The new bishop of Bath and Wells will live at the Bishop's P`lace,

:03:49. > :03:51.after controversial plans for him to live elsewhere were overturned. The

:03:52. > :03:55.incoming bishop was due to break with tradition and move to ` house

:03:56. > :03:58.in a nearby village. But thdre was opposition to the plans and a

:03:59. > :04:02.special committee has deciddd the palace is the best place for him to

:04:03. > :04:07.live when he takes up the post in June.

:04:08. > :04:09.Nine members of a drugs gang, responsible for supplying cocaine

:04:10. > :04:12.into Gloucestershire, have been sent to prison. They were tracked down by

:04:13. > :04:14.an undercover team of detectives during a year`long investig`tion.

:04:15. > :04:20.Our home affairs corresponddnt, Steve Brodie, reports.

:04:21. > :04:23.Just some of large amounts of benzocaine seized by the police as

:04:24. > :04:26.part of Operation Bonn. When mixed with cocaine, it represents well

:04:27. > :04:30.over ?1 million of drugs on the streets of Gloucestershire `nd the

:04:31. > :04:35.true value could be much higher The mastermind behind the operation was

:04:36. > :04:39.this man ` Rodney Brissett. What we have been able to do is not only

:04:40. > :04:42.take out the entire structure of how Rodney Brissett was dealing in

:04:43. > :04:46.Gloucester, take out all thd people who were working for him, btt we

:04:47. > :04:49.have been able to go outsidd the force and disrupt a substantial

:04:50. > :04:52.supply route into the countx. His empire collapsed when he was

:04:53. > :04:55.arrested while he cycled to Carlton Road in March last year to collect a

:04:56. > :04:59.kilo of cocaine. Inside the delivery van, detectives also found ?43, 00

:05:00. > :05:03.in a shoe box. This is just one of the places, here on the outskirts of

:05:04. > :05:06.Gloucester, used by drugs boss Rodney Brissett to meet fellow gang

:05:07. > :05:09.members when they travelled down from Leicester. They had no idea

:05:10. > :05:16.they were being targeted by undercover officers. Another

:05:17. > :05:18.dominant figure in the crimd organisation was Mohammed T`gari

:05:19. > :05:21.from Gloucester. He was the go`between for Brissett and Skender

:05:22. > :05:24.Gashi, who was the supplier. Rodney Brissett was handed eight ydars and

:05:25. > :05:28.six months, Mohammed Tagari was jailed for 13 and a half ye`rs, and

:05:29. > :05:38.Skender Gashi will serve a seven and half year sentence. Jailing the nine

:05:39. > :05:42.men for a total of more than fifty years, Judge Longman told them: For

:05:43. > :05:47.some the profits in this sort of conspiracy are high, but yot knew

:05:48. > :05:50.that the stakes were high too. The judge added that drugs causd misery

:05:51. > :06:02.both to users and the community Steve Brodie, BBC Points West,

:06:03. > :06:05.Bristol Crown Court. Tributes are being paid to one of

:06:06. > :06:08.the West's best`loved actors, writers, and directors ` Chris

:06:09. > :06:10.Harris, who has died aged seventy`one. For many years, he

:06:11. > :06:14.starred in, and co`wrote, p`ntomimes at Bristol's Old Vic, beford moving

:06:15. > :06:17.to Bath where he took to thd stage at the Theatre Royal.

:06:18. > :06:21.Now if you live in Burnham`on`Sea, or the surrounding area, thdn a

:06:26. > :06:28.BBC Breakfast, tomorrow morning from 6AM. But Bristol Water is hoping to

:06:29. > :06:32.have restored the supply by then. That is all from me for now, but I

:06:33. > :06:42.will hand you over to Ian whth tonight's weather.

:06:43. > :06:53.A dry day tomorrow, but there will be some cloud around. Tonight,
