:00:17. > :00:22.their battle to find a life`saving stem cell donor to a premiership

:00:23. > :00:25.football match today. Mike Brandon has leukaemia. He's just 29. Today

:00:26. > :00:29.people attending Tottenham Hotspurs match were encouraged to john the

:00:30. > :00:43.donor register, in the hope that Mr Brandon can have the transplant he

:00:44. > :00:46.needs. Zoe Gough reports. Football fans in fancy dress became

:00:47. > :00:50.potential life`savers as thdy took part in a campaign to find ` donor

:00:51. > :00:53.for a Bristol man fighting leukaemia. 29`year`old Mike Brandon

:00:54. > :00:57.had just proposed to his girlfriend when he was diagnosed earlidr this

:00:58. > :01:00.year. He was given just 60 days to find a stem cell donor to s`ve his

:01:01. > :01:04.life. They've had to put evdrything on hold for the moment. All of their

:01:05. > :01:08.efforts are just into trying to a match for Mike and trying to get him

:01:09. > :01:13.better. So it's had a significant impact, obviously, on their lives.

:01:14. > :01:19.With young men the likeliest match, Mike's friends today told hhs story

:01:20. > :01:24.outside a Premier League ground They obliged by being tested for a

:01:25. > :01:28.match. Others were asked to "Shake for Mike" ` the catch line for the

:01:29. > :01:32.campaign which has its own social media following. The idea is that

:01:33. > :01:39.you register with Anthony Nolan you shake your face at cancer. Xou then

:01:40. > :01:43.share your picture on social media ` Facebook and Twitter ` and nominate

:01:44. > :01:47.others to do the same thing and you keep the campaign driving bx

:01:48. > :01:51.nominating others to get involved. It's encouraged more than 6,000

:01:52. > :01:56.people to register a donor. Only one in 1,000 ends up as a match but the

:01:57. > :02:04.hope is just one of these stpporters might provide the stem cells that

:02:05. > :02:06.Mike so desperately needs. Hundreds of youngsters from schools `cross

:02:07. > :02:11.Bristol, Gloucestershire Solerset and Wiltshire have taken part in

:02:12. > :02:15.this years Ten Tors Challenge. The event is overseen by the Arly, with

:02:16. > :02:23.pupils trekking across 55 mhles of moorland on Dartmoor. More than 50

:02:24. > :02:27.of those taking part dropped out of the challenge with minor injuries `

:02:28. > :02:30.some having to be airlifted out of the area.

:02:31. > :02:36.A record number of runners have taken part in the Bristol 10k road

:02:37. > :02:41.race. 9872 people braved thd showers to tackle the course and rahse money

:02:42. > :02:43.for charity. Organisers had to apologise after they ran out of

:02:44. > :02:51.medals and commemorative T`shirts at the end. Almost 400 runners will

:02:52. > :02:55.have to wait while more are ordered. We base all our calculations for the

:02:56. > :02:59.equipment, the water, the mddical provision, on the number of

:03:00. > :03:05.anticipated runners. And I tnder bought by 370 in terms of the

:03:06. > :03:09.T`shirts. We'll contact our suppliers, get more made and post

:03:10. > :03:12.them out to them, because wd cross`referenced against our results

:03:13. > :03:16.system, so we know who everxbody is, so no one will lose out in the end.

:03:17. > :03:22.It's just very, very unforttnate that they didn't get them on the

:03:23. > :03:25.day. Well done if you run. `` ran. Wiltshire`based rider Harry Meade

:03:26. > :03:28.has taken third place at thhs year's Badminton Horse Trials. It's a

:03:29. > :03:31.fantastic achievement for the 30`year`old, who shattered both

:03:32. > :03:34.elbows in a riding accident last year and had to undergo surgery

:03:35. > :03:36.Meade was eighth after the very tricky cross`country yesterday,

:03:37. > :03:44.rising to third after today's show`jumping. When you still had

:03:45. > :03:50.your arms and braces in Jantary did you ever imagine you would finish

:03:51. > :03:55.top seven? No, I didn't. It's a dream that I've had to come back

:03:56. > :03:57.here. This is my ninth event. I stubbornly thought that if H was

:03:58. > :04:01.going to be able to start rhding again, I would focus everything

:04:02. > :04:02.towards this week but it was a very distant goal. Paul Tapner, who's

:04:03. > :04:11.based near Swindon, came fotrth Now a look at the weather whth Holly

:04:12. > :04:14.Green. Good evening. We've seen sole

:04:15. > :04:20.blustery showers through today but as we head through tonight, they are

:04:21. > :04:24.tending to ease away. We will see a lengthy clear spells but thd breeze

:04:25. > :04:29.should stop things getting too cold with lows of seven to nine by the

:04:30. > :04:32.early hours. A risk of showdrs from the word go tomorrow and th`t

:04:33. > :04:35.continues throughout the dax. They will be quite sharp, perhaps

:04:36. > :04:40.bringing the drum roll of thunder, and it's going to be breezy but less

:04:41. > :04:47.than today. Highs of between 13 and 15. Into Tuesday, a risk of showers

:04:48. > :04:50.but they are likely to be fdwer in number and less intense than

:04:51. > :04:59.tomorrow. As the week progrdsses, high pressure builds and it turns

:05:00. > :05:00.drier, brighter and better. We're back from 6am tomorrow. Good

:05:01. > :05:13.night. Good evening. If you are after some

:05:14. > :05:17.guaranteed dry weather and warmth, you need to hang in there for a

:05:18. > :05:23.couple more days. In the short term, we are sticking with a mixture of

:05:24. > :05:27.sunshine at times and heavy showers. Showers keep going tonight but the

:05:28. > :05:30.cloud breaks up to give clearer spells across northern Scotland

:05:31. > :05:35.particularly, so here there will be a touch of frost. The breeze eases

:05:36. > :05:39.down further South and most places will begin at eight or nine

:05:40. > :05:42.degrees. We start Monday morning already with a few showers scattered

:05:43. > :05:44.across the country. Not
