:00:00. > 3:59:59full coverage on BBC One of the European election results after the

:00:00. > :00:12.Good evening from Points West. The news where

:00:13. > :00:17.Good evening from Points West. The votes have been counted in the south

:00:18. > :00:21.west European elections. A result is expected soon at the region`l count

:00:22. > :00:29.in Poole. The south west is electing six members of the European

:00:30. > :00:36.Parliament. Let's join our Political Editor who's there. What's the

:00:37. > :00:41.latest? We do not have a result I will give you a prediction hn

:00:42. > :00:46.minutes, but it is looking puiet. Those are a lecture in officials who

:00:47. > :00:51.have been getting the results `` election officials. They have adding

:00:52. > :00:59.them up and falling through the figures. Everyone is waiting

:01:00. > :01:03.downstairs. Candidates and party members who have come along to

:01:04. > :01:07.witness this important moment. No one knows exactly what it is going

:01:08. > :01:18.to be. The Conservatives had three members, UKIP won two last time and

:01:19. > :01:24.the Liberal Democrats had one. We can make a prediction. We think UKIP

:01:25. > :01:28.are going to come out on top. Two MEPs for them. We think the

:01:29. > :01:32.Conservatives will have to lark in the new European Parliament. It

:01:33. > :01:35.looks as if Labour have picked up the seat they wanted to get back,

:01:36. > :01:41.having lost their seat in the south`west last time. The fhnal

:01:42. > :01:44.seat, very close and indeed between the Greens and the Liberal

:01:45. > :01:48.Democrats. If the Greens take it that would mean the end of the

:01:49. > :01:53.career for Sir Graham Watson, the MEP for the south`west for 20 years.

:01:54. > :01:56.And coverage of the European election results continues now on

:01:57. > :01:59.your local radio station and on BBC One after this bulletin.

:02:00. > :02:03.A 33`year`old man has died `fter a crash on one of Swindon's btsiest

:02:04. > :02:09.roads. Another man, believed to be his father, is in hospital with

:02:10. > :02:12.serious injuries. 6:30am this morning, at a thme when

:02:13. > :02:16.the road would have been quhet, tragedy struck at the entrance to

:02:17. > :02:19.the Orbital Retail Park. It's thought both cars were travdlling in

:02:20. > :02:23.opposite directions along Thamesdown Drive when the collision happened.

:02:24. > :02:27.The cars ended up 100 yards away from each other after they hit. The

:02:28. > :02:32.passenger of the Nissan was Paul Winters from Swindon. He sadly died

:02:33. > :02:35.in hospital. His father, who was driving, was seriously injured and

:02:36. > :02:40.is currently in a stable condition in Southmead Hospital in Brhstol.

:02:41. > :02:43.Two men, also from Swindon, who were both in the blue Astra, havd been

:02:44. > :02:48.arrested on suspicion of catsing death by dangerous driving. The

:02:49. > :02:51.accident has affected access to the shopping centre here but police say

:02:52. > :02:55.that's unavoidable due to the loss of life and need to carry ott a full

:02:56. > :02:58.criminal investigation. While it is reasonably busy here during the day,

:02:59. > :03:01.this morning when the acciddnt happened there was hardly anybody

:03:02. > :03:05.about and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward. The roads

:03:06. > :03:10.are quite quiet at that timd of day, but there were people here. When the

:03:11. > :03:14.first police officers arrivdd, there were members of the public helping

:03:15. > :03:17.those at the scene and we would like to appeal for witnesses. Thdy can

:03:18. > :03:22.contact myself at police headquarters Devizes on the 101

:03:23. > :03:25.number. Of the two men arrested one has now been bailed and the other

:03:26. > :03:28.released without charge. Me`nwhile, police family liaison officdrs have

:03:29. > :03:37.been appointed to work with Paul Winters' relatives.

:03:38. > :03:41.The family of West Country sailor Paul Goslin have paid tribute to him

:03:42. > :03:45.as a wonderful family man, who will be missed by everyone that knew

:03:46. > :03:48.him". Mr Goslin and Steve W`rren, who were both from Somerset, are

:03:49. > :03:52.among four sailors missing `fter their yacht capsized in the

:03:53. > :03:56.Atlantic. In a statement his family say they're "struggling to come to

:03:57. > :04:00.terms with the fact Paul won't be found alive". Prayers have been said

:04:01. > :04:07.for the men in churches in the west today.

:04:08. > :04:12.We have seen some showers through today but tonight is often going to

:04:13. > :04:16.be a dry picture with some clear spells out there. We could see a

:04:17. > :04:20.little bit of mist and fog forming. Lows in towns and cities down to

:04:21. > :04:24.seven or nine degrees but it will be chilly in the countryside. Tomorrow

:04:25. > :04:28.starts for most of us on a bright note with a few sunny spells but we

:04:29. > :04:31.are likely to see some showdrs developing. These could be heavy and

:04:32. > :04:39.thundery perhaps but highs getting up to 16, 17, 18 degrees. Thereafter

:04:40. > :04:43.we are looking at quite an tnsettled picture through the working week.

:04:44. > :04:49.Some bright spells around btt also showers and more persistent spells

:04:50. > :04:53.of rain. Enjoy the rest of xour bank holiday.

:04:54. > :04:57.Points West is back with Brdakfast bulletins at 6:25am tomorrow. From

:04:58. > :05:13.all of us here, goodnight. Good evening to you. Tomorrow the

:05:14. > :05:17.weather will be a little like a box of chocolate, you don't know what

:05:18. > :05:23.you are going to get until you head out. The weather was clear cut

:05:24. > :05:28.today, sunshine in the Midlands and the north.

:05:29. > :05:31.Tomorrow, there's going to be a mix of everything across the country and

:05:32. > :05:35.it will be changing a lot from morning into the afternoon and into

:05:36. > :05:39.the evening. This is what the weather is going to look like in the

:05:40. > :05:44.early hours, rain in the south-east, showers dotted around across western

:05:45. > :05:49.areas, and as far as the headline goes for Bank Holiday Monday, we'll

:05:50. > :05:53.call it sunshine and thundery showers, because they'll be hefty

:05:54. > :05:57.later on in the afternoon on Monday. This is what it starts like in the

:05:58. > :06:00.course of the morning. Note it is splodges of blue indicating the

:06:01. > :06:04.rainfall. They keep changing and moving into different places, there

:06:05. > :06:10.is a lot of sunshine coming through. In terms of the thundery downpours,

:06:11. > :06:12.we think the worst will be through this portion here whereas across
