:00:15. > :00:17.Tom Rogers who was found de`d last week on a cycle path near Swindon

:00:18. > :00:20.Railway station. He'd been stabbed several times. Today his frhends and

:00:21. > :00:23.family paid tribute to the 60 year old, describing him as a sociable

:00:24. > :00:27.and well`liked man. Scott Ellis reports.

:00:28. > :00:30.Wiltshire Police have been viewing hours of CCTV footage as part of

:00:31. > :00:32.their investigation into thd murder of Tom Rogers. The 60`year`old was

:00:33. > :00:37.stabbed multiple times on Thursday night, as he cycled home through

:00:38. > :00:42.this underpass, near Swindon railway station. Tonight, a 28`year`old man

:00:43. > :00:49.has been arrested on suspichon of murder. It comes on the day that

:00:50. > :00:52.tributes were paid to Tom Rogers, including at the pub where he had

:00:53. > :01:01.disgusted by what has happened. He's just going to be very, very missed.

:01:02. > :01:05.He was so reliable. Everybody cared about him. He was a good melber of

:01:06. > :01:09.our team. And he was always here. He was here a lot, he knew a lot of

:01:10. > :01:26.tribute today, David Rogers saying: "It hasn't sunk in my dad h`s gone

:01:27. > :01:30.and that I won't be able to spend time with him any more. I rdally

:01:31. > :01:35.feel his loss and will alwaxs miss my dad." His brother and two sisters

:01:36. > :01:39.live overseas and said in a tribute today that Tom was a kind,

:01:40. > :01:54.unassuming, gentle man with a happy heart. Tom Rogers lived in Walcot.

:01:55. > :01:56.confirmed by officers. Tonight the 28`year`old is being questioned at

:01:57. > :01:59.Swindon's Gable Cross policd station. He was also arrestdd on

:02:00. > :02:01.suspicion of a separate inchdent of robbery and grievous bodily harm

:02:02. > :02:04.with intent, which occurred on Thursday, 8 May at the s`me

:02:05. > :02:09.The police said Tom Rogers's family is being kept informed

:02:10. > :02:12.And they are still keen to hear from anyone who may have bedn

:02:13. > :02:22.School children from across Gloucestershire have been fhnding

:02:23. > :02:25.out about forced marriage today The act was made illegal earlier this

:02:26. > :02:28.month ` and now experts want everyone to be able to spot the

:02:29. > :02:31.signs to help make it a thing of the past. Last year, there were more

:02:32. > :02:35.than 1300 cases of suspected forced marriage in the UK ` more than 00

:02:36. > :02:38.were in the South West. 15% involved a child being forced into a marriage

:02:39. > :02:42.they didn't want ` the vast majority of cases involved girls or women.

:02:43. > :02:45.We see forced marriage as vdry much part of domestic abuse, gendrally.

:02:46. > :02:48.It's very much the focus and energy of Gloucester Constabulary `t the

:02:49. > :02:51.moment to raise the profile and status of domestic abuse. To make

:02:52. > :02:53.sure it's not tolerable. We don t tolerate it,

:02:54. > :02:59.Earlier I spoke to Jasvinder Sanghera, who's been campaigning for

:03:00. > :03:03.years for more to be done to protect people who are being forced to

:03:04. > :03:06.marry. Her sister was so unhappy in her marriage she committed suicide,

:03:07. > :03:12.and Jasvinder herself ran away from home.

:03:13. > :03:16.This was presented to me as an arranged marriage and it was

:03:17. > :03:20.As a result of that, my family to go out of educ`tion.

:03:21. > :03:24.I was held a prisoner in my own home at the age of 15 1/2,

:03:25. > :03:31.I ran away from home when I was 16 years old and my family reported him

:03:32. > :03:35.I had two choices, as far as my family were concerned.

:03:36. > :03:38.I either came home and marrhed today said, or from this day forw`rd,

:03:39. > :03:47.Subsequently, I have been disowned for over 35 years.

:03:48. > :03:52.How difficult is that, to break that cycle?

:03:53. > :03:57.You said you ran away, but culturally it must be difficult

:03:58. > :04:02.Extremely difficult because your family make yot feel

:04:03. > :04:05.guilty, ashamed, and my pardnts were Sikh and made me believe I was

:04:06. > :04:09.a bad Sikh, going against my culture, religion and tr`dition.

:04:10. > :04:12.And of course hese things were not true.

:04:13. > :04:15.Nowhere in any faith does it say you can support forced marrhage

:04:16. > :04:20.But as a young person, thesd were my parents, I loved them de`rly

:04:21. > :04:24.They made me feel like I was the perpetrator who had

:04:25. > :04:28.It took me a long time to own being a victim.

:04:29. > :04:31.What do you think about this change in the law?

:04:32. > :04:37.I'm extremely supportive of the change in the law, bdcause,

:04:38. > :04:40.35 years ago as a 14`year`old girl, I could not say to my familx,

:04:41. > :04:46.For the first time, today in England and, a victim can now own this

:04:47. > :04:50.Professionals dealing with this can place it firmly within the law and

:04:51. > :04:53.not be misguided and thinking that somehow this is part of our culture.

:04:54. > :05:00.So, a victim is more likely to get the right response and be bdlieved.

:05:01. > :05:05.What do you think about schools taking up this issue?

:05:06. > :05:10.I have to say, schools are at the heart of prevention.

:05:11. > :05:12.The disappointing thing is that nationally, we're not seeing a

:05:13. > :05:17.We are still having ad hoc schools doing this.

:05:18. > :05:21.There are many more schools out there and we need them to engage.

:05:22. > :05:22.We need a national programmd of engagement

:05:23. > :05:38.Thousands of people have bedn pouring out of the Glastonbtry

:05:39. > :05:41.Festival throughout the day. For four days the crowds have rocked to

:05:42. > :05:44.the sounds of everything from Dolly Parton to Metallica. The ro`ds

:05:45. > :05:47.around Worthy Farm were congested for most of the day. As over a

:05:48. > :05:49.170,000 revellers left the site after another year of the world

:05:50. > :06:07.The festival was absolutely fantastic. I love every mintte. I am

:06:08. > :06:17.60 and I am going to start coming every year. I need a shower I hope

:06:18. > :06:20.they got one. After rain, sunshine and rahnbows at

:06:21. > :06:23.the Glastonbury Festival ovdr the past four days, I'm going to leave
