:00:00. > :00:09.Welcome to BBC Points West with Will Glennon and Alex Lovell.

:00:10. > :00:12.There are calls for changes to the St Pauls carnival

:00:13. > :00:22.One man is still in hospital and police are investigating

:00:23. > :00:27.the violence that marred a day and night of celebration.

:00:28. > :00:31.There are 48 hours after St Paul's Carnival and safety questions are

:00:32. > :00:33.being asked. If people are positively

:00:34. > :00:39.uncomfortable physically with so many people crowded in in n`rrow

:00:40. > :00:42.streets. Millions of pounds is

:00:43. > :00:46.on its way west to help cre`te jobs, build homes

:00:47. > :00:55.and encourage innovation Sahling Sailing

:00:56. > :01:06.into the record books ` we leet the As the blue screens are going up

:01:07. > :01:08.there in the Forest of Dean, rumours are rife that a galaxy far, far away

:01:09. > :01:11.has come to the West Countrx. There are calls tonight

:01:12. > :01:14.for changes to the way the St Paul's Carnival is run following

:01:15. > :01:17.six stabbings on Saturday nhght One man remains in hospital

:01:18. > :01:20.in a stable condition. Detectives believe

:01:21. > :01:24.the stabbings are not connected Questions are now being askdd

:01:25. > :01:36.about the safety of the event, as more than 100,000 people flooded

:01:37. > :01:45.the narrow streets. The aftermath of the carniv`l, 0

:01:46. > :01:48.tonnes of it, has all been cleared up.

:01:49. > :01:51.What is left is messy hide lines about the violence that accompanied

:01:52. > :01:56.it. There were six stabbings in the St Pauls in Saturday night `ll

:01:57. > :02:01.involving men in the LA 20s. People living locally were not that

:02:02. > :02:05.shocked. If you know it has not happdned it

:02:06. > :02:10.has been a good Carnival. We are used to Europe about fighting

:02:11. > :02:14.and billets and all of this, but this time it was very good,

:02:15. > :02:21.peaceful. Although there were six stabbings around, unfortunately

:02:22. > :02:24.Six stabbings? Compared to what was happening before, stabbing hs far

:02:25. > :02:28.better! Yes, sure, there were a few

:02:29. > :02:33.problems, but they are mostly caused by people coming from out of town

:02:34. > :02:36.who messed up our fun. Knife crime is not something we are

:02:37. > :02:39.picking up as a serious isste in Bristol on in local communities at

:02:40. > :02:43.the moment. Obviously there are occasional incidents but thdy are

:02:44. > :02:49.not gang or knife is use we are coming across on a day`to`d`y

:02:50. > :02:53.business bullied micro basis. Is the Carnival's success now

:02:54. > :02:58.becoming a problem? People from all over the country came on Saturday.

:02:59. > :03:01.100,000 people or more cramling the narrow residential streets. That,

:03:02. > :03:06.and the mess left behind, where the talking points on the local

:03:07. > :03:09.community radio station tod`y. Were I think there might well be the

:03:10. > :03:13.case is to see if the Carnival could expand beyond its area, bec`use it

:03:14. > :03:18.was like walking through a football crowd when I was walking along the

:03:19. > :03:22.road outside. People are positively uncomfortable, physically, with so

:03:23. > :03:26.many people crowded in a very narrow number of streets.

:03:27. > :03:31.What lessons can be learned for next year? Add any large event lhke this,

:03:32. > :03:35.there will be a full debrief with ourselves, partners, event

:03:36. > :03:38.organisers and the committed to see what can be done to improve future

:03:39. > :03:41.years. It is a great sadness when what

:03:42. > :03:45.should be a fantastic event is marred by events like this.

:03:46. > :03:47.This is what the people in Bristol want the Carnival to be remdmbered

:03:48. > :03:52.for. They are all hoping next ye`r it

:03:53. > :03:54.will. Our home affairs corresponddnt is

:03:55. > :03:57.with us now. A successful Carnival on thd one

:03:58. > :04:00.hand, but the violence is disappointing for the organhsers and

:04:01. > :04:04.police? No doubt about that, six st`bbings

:04:05. > :04:09.in one evening is very disappointing, but 100,000 people

:04:10. > :04:12.turned up to this. 99.9% of them had a very good time. The policd, as we

:04:13. > :04:18.have heard, are very disappointed, but the thing that really m`tters is

:04:19. > :04:22.this sudden outburst of knife crime. At the beginning of the year,

:04:23. > :04:26.Parliament voted to impose `n automatic minimum six month term for

:04:27. > :04:29.anyone caught for a second time carrying a knife, and that hs very

:04:30. > :04:33.serious. Not to detract from that, btt

:04:34. > :04:37.putting it in context, have crime levels in falling at the Carnival in

:04:38. > :04:40.recent years. The Carnival has always had a

:04:41. > :04:45.history of violence but that in itself must be put into perspective.

:04:46. > :04:51.In 2009 there were 20 minor crimes. In 2010 it went down to 19, very

:04:52. > :04:55.small knob is indeed. In 2001 there was the tragic shooting dead of

:04:56. > :05:09.recall Gordon outside the courthouse pub. `` Rico. That was London gangs

:05:10. > :05:14.that brought their violence here. Victims of these sorts of crimes,

:05:15. > :05:17.these perhaps drug`related activities, they will not t`lk to

:05:18. > :05:22.the police. The victims tod`y will not talk to police about evhdence,

:05:23. > :05:26.they will keep quiet, and that makes getting a conviction even more

:05:27. > :05:31.difficult. We will have more on the St Paul's

:05:32. > :05:33.Carnival later in the progr`mme For now, two people have been t`ken to

:05:34. > :05:37.hospital after a bus It happened on the A4175 just

:05:38. > :05:41.before lunchtime today. Six people were on the bus when the

:05:42. > :05:44.accident with the van took place. The injured passengers were taken to

:05:45. > :05:47.the Bristol Royal Infirmary An investigation has now begun

:05:48. > :05:50.into the cause of the crash. Seven men suspected

:05:51. > :05:52.of being involved in football violence have been arrested

:05:53. > :05:55.by Wiltshire police in dawn raids. The men are being questioned

:05:56. > :05:59.at Gablecross police station as part of an investigation into violence

:06:00. > :06:04.which followed Swindon Town's match They were arrested at five houses

:06:05. > :06:23.in Swindon and in Wantage The man who shot

:06:24. > :06:26.and killed newly`wed Anni Ddwani on honeymoon in South Afric` may

:06:27. > :06:28.soon be released from prison. Xolile Mngeni is serving

:06:29. > :06:31.a life sentence for her murder, but has a terminal brain tulour

:06:32. > :06:34.and the authorities there s`y he may be allowed to die at home.

:06:35. > :06:37.Anni's husband, Bristol bushnessman Shrien Dewani is due to stand trial,

:06:38. > :06:37.accused of ordering her killing ` something he denies.

:06:38. > :06:40.Laura Jones reports. This is the man who killed

:06:41. > :06:42.Anni Dewani. Along with two other South @frican

:06:43. > :06:45.men, Xolile Mngeni was sent to But he has now been diagnosdd

:06:46. > :06:50.as having a terminal brain tumour and it is thought the authorities

:06:51. > :06:53.there are considering releasing him from prison early to die at home `

:06:54. > :06:57.something that shocked people Mr Mngeni is definitely the

:06:58. > :07:05.person who murdered Anni Dewani The South Africans are wonddring how

:07:06. > :07:10.on earth can a man who has been sentenced to life in prison

:07:11. > :07:18.for murder be released so soon Reacting to the news of Mngdni's

:07:19. > :07:22.possible early release, Annh Dewani's family are reported to have

:07:23. > :07:27.said they think it is totally wrong. Her father, Vinod Indocha, hs quoted

:07:28. > :07:30.in a newspaper as saying, "He had absolutely no mercy, no emotion

:07:31. > :07:34.when he killed Anni for mondy, It is now three and a half xears

:07:35. > :07:41.since Anni Dewani was shot dead whilst on honeymoon in South Africa

:07:42. > :07:44.with her new husband, Shrien Dewani, The authorities there claim

:07:45. > :07:50.Shrien Dewani paid the thred men to have his new bride shot dead

:07:51. > :07:54.in a prearranged carjacking, He was extradited to South @frica

:07:55. > :08:00.in April and is now being treated for severe post`traumatic stress

:08:01. > :08:04.disorder and depression at a high security psychiatric hospital

:08:05. > :08:22.there ahead of a trial which is well, very warm welcome to points

:08:23. > :08:25.West at the start of your wdek. Ian will be your leader with the

:08:26. > :08:28.weather forecast. There are still plenty more to come,

:08:29. > :08:33.including... Cramped, called but triumph`nt bash

:08:34. > :08:39.the men who sealed night and day to beat a world record.

:08:40. > :08:41.A campaign's begun against plans to halve the number

:08:42. > :08:45.of beds at a Bristol respitd centre for children with disabilithes.

:08:46. > :08:50.The Bush Residential Unit in Hengrove has ten spaces where

:08:51. > :08:53.children can stay to give their parents a night off.

:08:54. > :09:01.Parents say foster care and after school clubs aren't stitable

:09:02. > :09:07.Here's our health correspondent Matthew Hill.

:09:08. > :09:14.12`year`old Jimmy Lynch has to be supervised 24`hour is a day. He is

:09:15. > :09:17.autistic and epileptic. For his mother committed a full`timd job

:09:18. > :09:21.caring for him. It is not worth the risk, because his last seiztre

:09:22. > :09:23.happened in the swimming pool and it came out of the blue, we did not

:09:24. > :09:27.know why it happened. Because of things like that, when he

:09:28. > :09:33.is in the bat I have to be tpstairs and be quite observant.

:09:34. > :09:39.Once a week, Rita has a bre`k when she drops Jimmy off at the Bush

:09:40. > :09:42.Residential Respite Unit. Btt this image `` but the City Counchl is

:09:43. > :09:47.planning to close five of its ten beds. The idea is that the savings

:09:48. > :09:51.made will allow more childrdn to be placed with foster families.

:09:52. > :09:55.Will you allow him to be pl`ced foster family?

:09:56. > :09:58.No, because the government `` so the government will save money because

:09:59. > :10:02.parents are not prepared to do it. It is not safe. The children are too

:10:03. > :10:06.long ago, a lot of them havd very little speech and they do not

:10:07. > :10:08.recognise the social cues. Inappropriate things could happen

:10:09. > :10:13.and the children perhaps wotld not be to tell the parents about it

:10:14. > :10:17.It is vital for us to make sure all of our children are placed hn the

:10:18. > :10:22.safest possible situation. There will be additional training for

:10:23. > :10:26.families who decides to takd this on and any savings made by any of the

:10:27. > :10:29.changes that potentially cole out of this will allow 50 or 60 additional

:10:30. > :10:34.children to take advantage of our offerings.

:10:35. > :10:38.Bristol is not the only place to be reducing its respite beds. Hn

:10:39. > :10:45.Wiltshire, the Hill Court cdntre in Salisbury years, `` is closhng in

:10:46. > :10:49.April. Gloucestershire does not have any respite beds, they have

:10:50. > :10:52.alternative care models, and in Somerset they plan to incre`se

:10:53. > :10:56.foster placements, though they say there are no plans to reducd

:10:57. > :11:01.residential care. Mencap has heard of many incidents

:11:02. > :11:05.where families do not feel that services can effectively medt their

:11:06. > :11:08.needs. Research we did last year found that a third of familhes do

:11:09. > :11:12.not trust a lot of services in their area.

:11:13. > :11:20.The final decision over this centre will be made in September.

:11:21. > :11:25.Now, some cool robots, and ?200 million of governmdnt cash.

:11:26. > :11:27.Ministers signed the cheque today, claiming the investment would

:11:28. > :11:30.Everything from flood defences to house building and training

:11:31. > :11:33.for the nuclear industry was funded ` but it was the robots that caught

:11:34. > :11:37.The Business Secretary chosd Bristol's robot lab to annotnce

:11:38. > :11:38.the cash, and our business corresponddnt,

:11:39. > :11:54.Carefully does it. Practising his egg handling skills

:11:55. > :11:58.this morning, a big day for hurt, a research robot at UWE.

:11:59. > :12:03.They are amazing and it is getting beyond the traditional picttre of

:12:04. > :12:06.machines doing production lhnes These are much more intelligent

:12:07. > :12:09.creatures. It is undoubtedlx clever stuff, and the Bristol Robotics lab

:12:10. > :12:14.is a world leader. But research is not enough. Vince

:12:15. > :12:18.Cable wants to see this technology at work in factories, in industry,

:12:19. > :12:24.and that means bridging an `ncient divide. Research, Britain is as good

:12:25. > :12:27.as any country in the world and we generate a lot of Nobel Prize

:12:28. > :12:29.winners, to business applic`tion, where we like behind the Germans and

:12:30. > :12:34.other countries. It is making that bridge and I think

:12:35. > :12:36.we are succeeding. In future, these researchers will

:12:37. > :12:41.work hand`in`hand with comp`nies, so, I asked the Vice Chancellor why

:12:42. > :12:48.should the taxpayer pick up the cash? We are coming out of recession

:12:49. > :12:52.and companies, particularly small and medium`sized enterprises, are

:12:53. > :12:55.reluctant to invest. Robotics requires big money and

:12:56. > :12:58.infrastructure. Thank you.

:12:59. > :13:03.There is more to this than just robots. ?4.5 million will go to this

:13:04. > :13:08.new robotic research Instittte near Bristol, with ?1 million dud to

:13:09. > :13:14.marine tidal energy schemes and ?50 million for something they `re

:13:15. > :13:19.calling terabit West. It sotnds like something from Doctor Who btt it is

:13:20. > :13:21.actually a big, fat broadband connection for businesses in this

:13:22. > :13:28.part of the world. On the Dorset coast, and yot do

:13:29. > :13:30.drastic `` a new Jurassic vhsitor centre.

:13:31. > :13:35.In Somerset, help for small companies trying to win work on the

:13:36. > :13:39.Hinkley Point nuclear project, part of a ?63 million investment.

:13:40. > :13:44.Across Wiltshire, nearly ?30 million will go on new roads and a high`tech

:13:45. > :13:47.science centre. And in Gloucestershire and other

:13:48. > :13:51.minister arrived at what will be a small business support centre.

:13:52. > :13:56.Gloucester has got great pl`ns for economic growth in the area. We are

:13:57. > :14:02.handing power to the local community to decide. We are backing it is it

:14:03. > :14:10.is going to bring with it at least as much Private business, so we are

:14:11. > :14:13.talking about ?145 million dxtra investment. Of course, like every

:14:14. > :14:17.Christmas wish list they did not get everything they asked for.

:14:18. > :14:22.This is the full list of ?500 million worth of project thdy asked

:14:23. > :14:27.for for the West of England. Bristol and Bath science park. More space?

:14:28. > :14:31.No. A high`tech food and drhnk research centre near

:14:32. > :14:35.Weston`super`Mare? Didn't gdt that either.

:14:36. > :14:40.In fact, for every ?5 they `sked for, the only got ?1.

:14:41. > :14:45.This government have made it quite clear that once this announcement is

:14:46. > :14:48.out of the way we will go on to the next announcement. We have 39 really

:14:49. > :14:52.good projects, with seven that are starting to deliver, and we have

:14:53. > :14:54.plenty more to do. We are dhscussing the next phase of funding for the

:14:55. > :14:59.next round of projects. Did I get the job?

:15:00. > :15:06.It looks that way. Thank you!

:15:07. > :15:07.Next, they braved whirlpools, dodged oil tankers

:15:08. > :15:12.and survived cramped condithons Now two sailors from Gloucestershire

:15:13. > :15:15.are finally back home after halving the world record for sailing round

:15:16. > :15:17.Britain in a small dinghy. Jeremy Warren and Phil Kirk survived

:15:18. > :15:21.by cooking on a small gas stove and with very little sleep, completing

:15:22. > :15:23.the trip in just over a month. They popped in with their dhnghy

:15:24. > :15:26.a short while ago and Alistair Durden caught up whth them

:15:27. > :15:32.just outside the studios here. Well, here she is without hdr sails,

:15:33. > :15:37.just five metres long and a pretty cosy living sp`ce

:15:38. > :15:41.for Jeremy and Phil to spend 32 days and nights together

:15:42. > :15:46.in order to smash this record. Jeremy, this is the sort of boat we

:15:47. > :15:50.might see go out for a day cruise. What sort of challenge was

:15:51. > :15:53.it to have it for a month? Well, these boats are very tough

:15:54. > :15:56.and some distances have been done before, so it doesn't take ` lot of

:15:57. > :15:59.work to equip it for long dhstances. We were fortunate with weather,

:16:00. > :16:02.which was great, we saw amazing sunsets and sunrises, met lots

:16:03. > :16:05.of interesting people and dolphins and things, but mostly it w`s damp

:16:06. > :16:12.and windy for most of the trip. You managed to smash this rdcord,

:16:13. > :16:14.effectively, by sailing through lot of

:16:15. > :16:18.the night time, what was th`t like? A greater challenge than sahling

:16:19. > :16:22.in the daytime, because you lose a lot of your visual senses,

:16:23. > :16:25.you cannot see the set the sails, can't see the waves, and yot are

:16:26. > :16:29.depending more on using head torches Slide back a bit, lie down `nd there

:16:30. > :16:43.is room for just about one person. It is not brilliant,

:16:44. > :16:49.but it got us round. And we got up to

:16:50. > :16:52.about three hours sleep each And you have a stove in herd,

:16:53. > :16:57.haven't you? Yes, a gas powered stove,

:16:58. > :17:01.it heats one small mess tin, two sporks, port and starbo`rd

:17:02. > :17:04.colours, and that is enough, That gives you two cups of tea

:17:05. > :17:09.in three minutes or a compldte I managed to put

:17:10. > :17:14.on a five kilos during the trip so we were eating quite well,

:17:15. > :17:20.keeping ourselves fuelled. Was there ever a point

:17:21. > :17:22.when you thought you were ptshing All the time

:17:23. > :17:26.our consideration was to make it The way you sail round

:17:27. > :17:31.a racecourse is different from the You get tired and

:17:32. > :17:35.as you get tired you make poorer We had a couple of guys on the end

:17:36. > :17:40.of a phone who could help us out It sounds

:17:41. > :17:43.like a fantastic adventure. The guys are well

:17:44. > :17:46.on their way to raising the ?20 000 They're back on dry land now but I

:17:47. > :18:01.reckoned they are itching Rather them than me! One month in

:18:02. > :18:05.that little boat! When he said, is it comfy? Not

:18:06. > :18:09.really! While Somerset cricket club strive

:18:10. > :18:11.for their first ever County Championship title this

:18:12. > :18:13.summer, another of their te`ms is The Somerset visually impaired team

:18:14. > :18:17.have reached the National Ctp Final and, as Dave Gibbins reports,

:18:18. > :18:26.their achievement has gone `lmost These players proudly represent

:18:27. > :18:30.Somerset County Cricket club. Affiliated to

:18:31. > :18:33.the full`time professional set up at the County Ground in Taunton

:18:34. > :18:38.this team do themselves justice in another form of the sport.

:18:39. > :18:40.There are three players who are completely blind, the rdst

:18:41. > :18:44.With that in mind, how dangdrous can this type of cricket be?

:18:45. > :18:49.For someone like me with no sight at all, you have to be award

:18:50. > :18:53.of your surroundings, who's near you when you're batting,

:18:54. > :18:57.you have to judge the bouncd of the ball, how high and far ht is.

:18:58. > :19:01.It's not easy, but it is a lot of practice and it is worth it.

:19:02. > :19:05.They've just reached the final of the national knockout cup bdating

:19:06. > :19:08.last year's national league, knockout cup and Twenty20 whnners,

:19:09. > :19:12.Warwickshire, a real feather in their cap as they try to make people

:19:13. > :19:16.aware of their existence as a club for visually impaired players.

:19:17. > :19:19.When you say we play cricket, they just think you're sillx.

:19:20. > :19:25.But as you can see here we can and there are some talented plaxers

:19:26. > :19:32.We are starting to grow, very slowly.

:19:33. > :19:37.We have come leaps and bounds in the last two years.

:21:16. > :21:18.There are also rumours that scenes for the new Star Wars film `re

:21:19. > :21:24.A huge film crew has set up camp at Puzzlewood but so far thdre has

:21:25. > :21:27.been no confirmation that Luke Skywalker is in town.

:21:28. > :21:33.Our Gloucestershire reporter, Steve Knibbs, has sent this report

:21:34. > :21:45.This is no small scale movid shoot. Winnie Beagles, equipment v`ns,

:21:46. > :21:48.seemingly hundreds of staff. But if this was the cast and crew of the

:21:49. > :21:52.new Star Wars film, no one was giving anything away.

:21:53. > :21:55.No one can say whether to Star Wars or not?

:21:56. > :22:00.No. Security were friendly, even checking if we were OK, and later on

:22:01. > :22:02.more than happy to confirm what was being filmed.

:22:03. > :22:08.What are you filming? Country file.

:22:09. > :22:13.I don't think you are! I told you earlier on. I can try and

:22:16. > :22:18.I can confirm it was not cotntry file, and soon blue screens were

:22:19. > :22:23.going up to stop us getting a sneaky peak of anything.

:22:24. > :22:27.Even people checking we could not see anything between the trdes. But

:22:28. > :22:33.we did get a few clues will stop to these wigs belong to Jedi? Hs this a

:22:39. > :22:42.Sabre rehearsals? I'm grabbhng at straws, but local Star Wars fans

:22:43. > :22:44.were pretty convinced the force was in the forest.

:22:45. > :22:49.I think it is absolutely am`zing, it is great to be here, to be honest. I

:22:50. > :22:53.happen a fan for years and to be here trying to see a piece of

:22:54. > :22:56.history being made is fantastic Maybe it is just like anothdr

:23:06. > :23:10.Despite calls and e`mails, no one from Disney got back to me, but

:23:11. > :23:13.Puzzlewood doesn't seem to fit the bill for a mysterious planet in a

:23:14. > :23:21.galaxy far far away. It has already been used for Merrill and, Doctor

:23:22. > :23:24.Who and Atlantis, so it may be where an Imperial storm trooper f`ncies a

:23:25. > :23:27.blaster battle. If this is really the new Star Wars film, what will it

:23:28. > :23:34.be? Will it be your De's home planet or

:23:54. > :23:56.I am a huge fan of Ian Henddrson and the weather.

:23:57. > :23:59.And I am someone who is not even seen the first Star Wars films I had

:24:00. > :24:02.no clue what he was talking about. As bad as the weather is concerned,

:24:03. > :24:08.tomorrow we're back to sunshine and showers, a bit of whether lottery.

:24:09. > :24:11.There will be drier, brightdr spells continuing into the afternoon, that

:24:12. > :24:17.is when we'd have the key threat of showers around. In the rainfall

:24:18. > :24:20.some of you had some pretty heavy downpours this afternoon,

:24:21. > :24:27.particularly across Gloucestershire. The trend has been for a lot of this

:24:28. > :24:32.to turn to drizzle. Some he`vy bursts, particularly towards Lyme

:24:33. > :24:36.Bay, which might continue overnight, but generally speaking the showers

:24:37. > :24:39.and associated brain is starting to fizzle out. A dry night for the

:24:40. > :24:46.majority as we had to tomorrow, showers start to get going tomorrow.

:24:47. > :24:51.`` associated rain. We have an occlusion across as firing tp the

:24:52. > :24:54.showers. Towards Germany, that low pressure area developing with a warm

:24:55. > :24:57.front coming in towards the eastern parts of the British Isles will be

:24:58. > :25:02.critical to the developments we have midweek onwards. It will dictate

:25:03. > :25:08.what will happen towards thd weekend, so we will keep an eye on

:25:09. > :25:12.that. This is the general drift of things correctly, the graphhcs

:25:13. > :25:18.overplaying the intensity of the showers slightly. Some showdrs

:25:19. > :25:22.towards southern parts of Somerset and up into the Bristol Channel

:25:23. > :25:28.Many areas will start dry tomorrow, temperatures will drop to lows of

:25:29. > :25:32.eight or nine Celsius in thd countryside, other areas up to 2

:25:33. > :25:35.Celsius. Tomorrow, the first half of the day will generally have drier,

:25:36. > :25:42.brighter weather. Towards ltnchtime into the afternoon the showdrs tend

:25:43. > :25:45.to grow our by hour. Some hdavy ones around for awhile, and they will

:25:46. > :25:49.continue to be a feature thd evening. Fire spells between that,

:25:50. > :25:54.the winds will be a feature, so for some of you it will be a re`sonable

:25:55. > :25:59.day. Temperatures tomorrow tp to around 18 Celsius, but a lot of

:26:00. > :26:05.uncertainty from Wednesday onwards. We have confidence Wednesdax will be

:26:06. > :26:09.dry for us and thereafter t`ke it with a pinch of salt. There could be

:26:10. > :26:13.rain for the East in that p`rt of the week, then a chance for rain in

:26:14. > :26:16.the West. We will update yot tomorrow.

:26:17. > :26:20.I know what to get him for Christmas. Before we go, we wanted

:26:21. > :26:22.to return to the St Paul 's carnival, but the positive side of

:26:23. > :26:27.it. Although the celebrations wdre

:26:28. > :26:32.marred as we had at the start of the programme, we also heard 100,00

:26:33. > :26:35.people partied in style. So as we leave you, we thought we wotld bring

:26:36. > :26:37.you some of the sights and sounds of one of the biggest African Caribbean

:26:38. > :27:30.Carnival is around. It has been a wonderful spirit, it

:27:31. > :27:37.is being together and celebrating heritage, that is very much alive

:27:38. > :27:39.and kicking in Bristol. It really is alive and kicking in Bristol.
