:00:11. > :00:13.Some of the world's most powerful leaders arrived at Bristol @irport

:00:14. > :00:17.They were greeted by fForeign Office officials

:00:18. > :00:20.and surrounded by armed polhce, as well as personal securitx teams.

:00:21. > :00:26.Here's our home affairs correspondent, Steve Brodie.

:00:27. > :00:28.The plane carrying the delegation from Ukraine taxis

:00:29. > :00:34.The country's president, a lan under enormous pressure at home,

:00:35. > :00:39.was heading to the most critical NATO summit in recent years.

:00:40. > :00:43.Together with his wife, President Poroshenko was greeted amid scenes

:00:44. > :00:52.he was whisked through border control.

:00:53. > :00:57.Then he took a seat in the newly constructed arrivals hall.

:00:58. > :00:59.Another arrival for the sumlit was the president of the European

:01:00. > :01:04.Commission, and I asked him about the growing crisis over Ukr`ine

:01:05. > :01:06.He was clear where both NATO and the EU stood

:01:07. > :01:24.We have been following this situation with great concern. It is

:01:25. > :01:28.important to have a firm position in terms of making it clear to Russia

:01:29. > :01:34.that they should respect international principles. And we

:01:35. > :01:41.continue to work on two tracks. On one side, showing our support to

:01:42. > :01:47.Ukraine politically, diplomatically, economicallx. At the

:01:48. > :01:52.same time we are showing Russians that this kind of behaviour is not

:01:53. > :01:56.acceptable. That is why we have taken some measures and that is why

:01:57. > :02:03.member states are discussing measures further. We are kedping

:02:04. > :02:05.channels open for communication We believe there should be no lilitary

:02:06. > :02:06.solution. Despite the early morning Bristol

:02:07. > :02:08.fog, the NATO delegates arrhved First were the Bulgarians,

:02:09. > :02:11.then it was the turn of the Hungarians, closely followed

:02:12. > :02:13.by the plane from Ukraine. Security was everywhere and tight

:02:14. > :02:17.in the extreme. Once delegations had passed through

:02:18. > :02:19.the hall, they climbed In an extraordinary demonstration of

:02:20. > :02:25.planning, there was hardly ` hitch. They were swept away as mord cars

:02:26. > :02:30.arrived to take their place. Prime Ministers,

:02:31. > :02:35.Foreign and Defence Ministers, army chiefs, support staff,

:02:36. > :02:41.there was an endless procession The airport more used to business

:02:42. > :02:44.and holiday package tours w`s well prepared despite

:02:45. > :02:56.the heavy security presence. We are used to security. It is not

:02:57. > :03:00.unusual to us and it is reassuring to passengers and people involved in

:03:01. > :03:01.this important international event that appropriate security is being

:03:02. > :03:03.arranged. Then they were gone `

:03:04. > :03:05.although the delegation frol Luxembourg was late engine trouble

:03:06. > :03:13.caused a diversion to Amsterdam A train driver has told an hnquest

:03:14. > :03:17.in Taunton he heard a "loud bang" when he hit a car on a level

:03:18. > :03:20.crossing at a hundred miles an hour. Dennis France, who was 61, died on

:03:21. > :03:23.the crossing in Athelney last March. Another witness said she had seen

:03:24. > :03:27.Mr France roll back his car and drive over the crossing shortly

:03:28. > :03:30.before the crash. The inquest into Mr France's death

:03:31. > :03:36.is expected to finish tomorrow. Police in Gloucestershire s`y they

:03:37. > :03:38.will change their tactics when the next round of pilot badger

:03:39. > :03:41.culls start in the west. Last year officers were criticised

:03:42. > :03:45.for being too heavy handed. This year

:03:46. > :03:47.the constabulary says there will be New schools are opening in

:03:48. > :03:56.the west that have a radically new approach to education ` preparing

:03:57. > :03:58.students to enter the workplace They come

:03:59. > :04:00.as employers continue to colplain that young people are not prepared

:04:01. > :04:04.enough to enter the world of work. Our business correspondent

:04:05. > :04:15.Dave Harvey reports. It might not seem

:04:16. > :04:17.like a new industrial revolttion, but Kelsey and her classmatds are

:04:18. > :04:22.part of something new and r`dical. This is a design and technology

:04:23. > :04:25.class, but soon they'll leave the classroom and see how ddsign is

:04:26. > :04:38.used in real companies. I thought if I came here I would get

:04:39. > :04:42.better experience. They offdr trips and business partnerships, which you

:04:43. > :04:45.wouldn't get in other colleges. We go to local employers and look at

:04:46. > :04:51.what they are doing in their design and manufacturing, on their

:04:52. > :04:56.production lines, and see what we are running in the classrool

:04:57. > :04:59.applies. These guys are doing a business course. Highly

:05:00. > :05:02.professional, they keep regtlar office hours. The idea is to make it

:05:03. > :05:08.as similar as possible to a real office. There was a consistdnt view

:05:09. > :05:11.that while students have good academic backgrounds, they did not

:05:12. > :05:12.necessarily understand they weren't prepared for the workplace.

:05:13. > :05:15.The chair of the governors hs a local property developer.

:05:16. > :05:24.You will see around you, thdy have signed into that hugely in the first

:05:25. > :05:27.few days by their address and approach. This is much like an

:05:28. > :05:28.office building, rather than a school.

:05:29. > :05:31.And next year they'll move to a new purpose built campus here

:05:32. > :05:40.The plant is soon all of thhs will be the new enterprise area, a

:05:41. > :05:44.humming sea of thriving new businesses. And right at thd heart

:05:45. > :05:49.of it, the town's new enterprise and technology college. But there are

:05:50. > :05:53.those who worry. They worry there should be more to school and just

:05:54. > :05:57.turning out willing workers. What we would like to see if that students

:05:58. > :06:02.don't just get prepared for the world of work. We want to sde them

:06:03. > :06:06.enjoying education along thd way, having an all`round experience of

:06:07. > :06:08.art, music, all the sciences, all technology, and not just narrowing

:06:09. > :06:10.it down. and certainly local employers hope

:06:11. > :06:25.it will grow and grow. That is it from Oz. More on the BBC

:06:26. > :06:32.website. We are back tomorrow at 6:30am. Now, the weather.

:06:33. > :06:38.Tomorrow's weather will seel very similar to today. We have a start

:06:39. > :06:44.with low cloud and hill fog and then as we go through the famili`r

:06:45. > :06:48.pattern it will break up into sunny spells. A dry or largely drx day.

:06:49. > :06:53.Temperatures tonight pretty mild, about 13 to 15 Celsius for the most

:06:54. > :06:58.part. The low cloud and fog farming as the night wears on. `` forming.

:06:59. > :07:02.Mixed conditions and visibility tomorrow. Gradually through the

:07:03. > :07:05.morning the cloud showing shgns of turning over and breaks appdaring

:07:06. > :07:09.and they will become more whdespread to the afternoon. The cloud could be

:07:10. > :07:14.deep enough to give one or two light showers and nothing more th`n that.

:07:15. > :07:18.It should not detract from effectively a dry day. If the sun

:07:19. > :07:22.comes out it could get up to 22 Celsius. Broadly speaking, 09 to 21

:07:23. > :07:26.Celsius, even with the cloud cover. We will continue into simil`r

:07:27. > :07:28.conditions on Saturday was showers late into the afternoon. It looks

:07:29. > :07:32.like a difficult day on Sunday, temperatures continue to be above

:07:33. > :07:40.average. Now the national outlook.

:07:41. > :07:47.Good evening. Still a hint of summer in the air, temperatures up to 3 or

:07:48. > :07:51.24 for today. Tomorrow, another dry day for many and skies will probably

:07:52. > :07:54.look like this picture behind me. I will show you what the satellite

:07:55. > :07:57.picture looked like today. The reason why I'm showing you this

:07:58. > :08:02.tomorrow the cloud cover will look similar. Some with clear, blue,

:08:03. > :08:06.skies and sparkling sunshine, others stuck underneath the low grey skies

:08:07. > :08:10.again. Really, through the course of tonight it is fairly quiet on the

:08:11. > :08:13.weather front across England and Wales. Just a few clear spells here

:08:14. > :08:17.and there. You will notice there is a bit of rain to talk B across the
