:00:50. > :00:58.But according to a leaked report, Kathy and patients like her

:00:59. > :01:01.at Southmead may have a long wait to come.

:01:02. > :01:05.I've obtained this team briefing by the Trust, which highlights

:01:06. > :01:09.significant delays for patients undergoing urological operations, as

:01:10. > :01:18.It says 111 spinal patients were waiting more than 52 weeks,

:01:19. > :01:23.breaching national standards which will require a longer term plan to

:01:24. > :01:34.And in urology it says capacity and kit has affected both

:01:35. > :01:37.The doctor in charge of the hospital is trying to secure more

:01:38. > :01:40.funding from local commissioners to clear the backlog in Urology.

:01:41. > :01:46.But the spinal surgery problems may need a national solution.

:01:47. > :01:48.The difficulty with spinal operations is related to

:01:49. > :01:54.the specialist work again that we do here at North Bristol Trust,

:01:55. > :01:57.which can be done by a very small number of centres in the UK.

:01:58. > :02:00.And there's been increasing referral and demand, as some other centres

:02:01. > :02:03.have found that they are less able to do the specialist work

:02:04. > :02:07.So we're working with NHS England and the national teams

:02:08. > :02:14.There have been other problems with neurological operations.

:02:15. > :02:17.This theatre that provides MRI scans at the same time, was out

:02:18. > :02:24.It's partly because of problems in getting the right specifications.

:02:25. > :02:26.And another highly specialist theatre for patients who need to be

:02:27. > :02:30.conscious throughout is still out of action

:02:31. > :02:35.because its door was not lead`lined to protect against radiation.

:02:36. > :02:37.Of course there were always going to be teething problems with such

:02:38. > :02:43.The impact of the ten`week closure of the urology theatre may take some

:02:44. > :02:47.time for patients to clear through the system and they hope to have

:02:48. > :02:59.lead lining of the doors in the other theatre within weeks.

:03:00. > :03:02.A trial date has been set in South Africa for the honeymoon

:03:03. > :03:05.The 34`year`old Bristol businessman has always denied any involvement

:03:06. > :03:08.in his wife Anni's death in Cape Town in 2010.

:03:09. > :03:11.It's been reported that Zola Tongo, the taxi driver convicted of Anni's

:03:12. > :03:14.murder, will be a state witness in the trial.

:03:15. > :03:22.It's due to start on the 6th October.

:03:23. > :03:24.A second pilot badger cull has begun in Gloucestershire and Somerset.

:04:44. > :04:47.of South Gloucestershire Council to get on board, which it did.

:04:48. > :04:58.And if we stumbled and fell at this last hurdle, then the chances

:04:59. > :05:03.of getting investment in future is definitely going to be reduced.

:05:16. > :05:26.It would be quicker to walk from blooming South Bristol over to
