:00:13. > :00:16.A coroner has concluded that a Bristol nurse took her own life

:00:17. > :00:19.after answering a hoax phond call about the Duchess of Cambridge.

:00:20. > :00:22.Jacintha Saldanha was caring for the Duchess at a London hospital when

:00:23. > :00:27.two Australian DJs called impersonating the Queen.

:00:28. > :00:37.As Andrew Plant reports, her family have today spoken about thehr loss.

:00:38. > :00:43.Nor than 18 months after thdir mother's death made worldwide

:00:44. > :00:47.headlines, Jacintha Saldanh`'s husband and two children left her

:00:48. > :00:55.inquest today accompanied bx the MP Keith Vaz and spoke to the cameras

:00:56. > :00:59.for the first time. We thank our friends and family around Bristol

:01:00. > :01:08.and around elsewhere for supporting us in our difficulties. My dad and

:01:09. > :01:15.sister and myself miss our beloved mum every day and will do so for the

:01:16. > :01:18.rest of our lives. In December 012, the Duchess of Cambridge was a

:01:19. > :01:22.patient at the hospital where Jacintha Saldanha worked. The nurse

:01:23. > :01:29.answered a call which she thought was from the Queen. In fact, it was

:01:30. > :01:33.a hoax. Yes, we are right now.. Two Australian radio DJs tricked staff

:01:34. > :01:38.into revealing private information. Today, her inquest heard how a few

:01:39. > :01:43.hours later Jacintha Saldanha e`mailed a friend. She said, "I feel

:01:44. > :01:47.I am to be blamed. I don't know how to face the bosses tomorrow. I feel

:01:48. > :01:51.so ashamed of myself." Jacintha Saldanha worked here at Southmead

:01:52. > :01:57.Hospital as a nurse for six years, but left here in 2008 to john the

:01:58. > :02:01.staff at the King Edward VIH Hospital in London. It meant long

:02:02. > :02:11.periods away from her familx in Bristol. The day after she took that

:02:12. > :02:15.hoax phone call, she was told she wouldn't face disciplinary `ction,

:02:16. > :02:20.but she would have to attend a meeting. The coroner said she had

:02:21. > :02:24.taken her own life and the hoax call had been clearly pressing on her

:02:25. > :02:28.mind. One of the DJs who made that call, Mel Greig, made a statement to

:02:29. > :02:32.the court today in tears as she apologised to Jacintha Sald`nha s

:02:33. > :02:37.husband and children. This was the end of the very public part of the

:02:38. > :02:49.process for a family of four who are now a family of three.

:02:50. > :03:00.Police in Swindon have charged a woman with murder after a hospital

:03:01. > :03:06.in the town. The woman will appear before magistrates tomorrow.

:03:07. > :03:09.The Archbishop of Canterburx has begun a three`day visit to the West.

:03:10. > :03:12.The Most Reverend Justin Welby began his tour of the region in Bristol

:03:13. > :03:15.this afternoon where he attdnded an event at the city's Cathedr`l. This

:03:16. > :03:17.evening, he's joining a Chrhstian street patrol in Kingswood helping

:03:18. > :03:20.drinkers in pubs and clubs. Speaking on Points West earlier, he told us

:03:21. > :03:28.it was an important part of his mission.

:03:29. > :03:34.They go out on the streets `nd they work with local authorities and they

:03:35. > :03:38.are there to provide support, encouragement and safety for those

:03:39. > :03:39.having a good time on the town and particularly for those who have had

:03:40. > :03:45.too much aftime on the town Tomorrow the archbishop will address

:03:46. > :03:47.clergy in Swindon, then conduct baptisms in thd river

:03:48. > :03:55.beneath Malmesbury Abbey. As both sides continue frantic

:03:56. > :03:57.campaigning in Scotland, thdre are calls today for more power to be

:03:58. > :04:00.given to the West country. The deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg,

:04:01. > :04:03.is backing those who want more devolution in England following the

:04:04. > :04:05.Scottish independence referdndum. Here's our political editor,

:04:06. > :04:15.Paul Barltrop. Scotland will get more power

:04:16. > :04:21.whatever happens. The Parli`ment in Edinburgh will be given control over

:04:22. > :04:24.more areas, but more power for Holyrood will increase a deficit

:04:25. > :04:28.south of the border in Westlinster and in the West Country. English

:04:29. > :04:32.politicians would have even less say over what happens in in Scotland

:04:33. > :04:36.whilst Scottish MPs would vote in our Parliament and what happens

:04:37. > :04:40.here. Experts reckon there would be demands for change not just to our

:04:41. > :04:44.Parliament and for English regional devolution. On the streets of Bath,

:04:45. > :04:49.most voters I talked to wanted the Scots to stay, but mention of all

:04:50. > :04:56.the goodies they would get did stoke up some passion. Why should they get

:04:57. > :04:59.more powers? If they are part of the UK, they are part of the UK. There

:05:00. > :05:05.is no reason why they should get anything better than us down this

:05:06. > :05:14.end. I don't see why they should have additional powers. Could we get

:05:15. > :05:17.regional Assemblies? It was rejected in a referendum in the north of

:05:18. > :05:23.England. We tried this and ht didn't work and there is lots of rdasons

:05:24. > :05:28.why. One was that it was enforced by New Labour and the powers that were

:05:29. > :05:35.given at that time were fairly weak. One notable south`west he is dent

:05:36. > :05:39.who is `` resident is Billy Bragg. If it is a good thing for Scotland,

:05:40. > :05:45.why isn't it a good thing for England? The way to eng gaeg young

:05:46. > :05:51.people is to `` engage young people is to make their voices heard. We

:05:52. > :05:57.can start to get people to feel that their voice is heard. Consthtutional

:05:58. > :06:01.change is coming. Scotland will have its say first. After that, Dngland's

:06:02. > :06:07.voters can debate how best to be governed.

:06:08. > :06:10.Thousands of people took to the streets again today as the

:06:11. > :06:11.Tour of Britain raced through Wiltshire.

:06:12. > :06:14.Stage 6 of the event started from the centre of Bath before m`king

:06:15. > :06:17.its way through the county. It finished in Hemel Hempstead with

:06:18. > :06:20.Austrian, Matthias Brandle crossing the line first.

:06:21. > :06:23.That's it for now. There's more news on the BBC websitd.

:06:24. > :06:25.We're back throughout the weekend. But for now good nhght

:06:26. > :06:31.and I will leave you with Ian who the latest forecast.

:06:32. > :06:37.Bottom Good evening. A dry weekend lies ahead. There will

:06:38. > :06:41.be bright or sunny spells. H suspect Sunday will turn out to be the

:06:42. > :06:45.cloudier of the two days, btt by day at least it will be warm if at times

:06:46. > :06:50.breezy. More particularly so down towards the extreme south. Through

:06:51. > :06:56.the course of tonight under clear skies, temperatures down to 10 to 12

:06:57. > :07:02.Celsius, but it could get as low as seven Celsius in the countrxside.

:07:03. > :07:07.The cloud will lift and bre`k and we should be in for a day that will be

:07:08. > :07:10.similar to today. So some bright or sunny spells. Variable amounts of

:07:11. > :07:14.cloud. Remaining dry and little change as the hours tick by. It

:07:15. > :07:20.should be pleasant enough into the afternoon. Temperatures getting into

:07:21. > :07:23.the low 20s where you have the best of the sunshine. 21 or 22 Cdlsius

:07:24. > :07:27.possible. On Sunday, the best of the sunshine out towards the West. More

:07:28. > :07:31.cloud out towards the east. It should stay dry. That's it from me.

:07:32. > :07:31.Here is look at your nation`l forecast.

:07:32. > :07:41.an outlook now for the next few days.

:07:42. > :07:49.We are in good shape. Most will stay dry. Hopefully you will see good

:07:50. > :07:53.spells of sunshine. It will be breezy as we go through southern

:07:54. > :07:59.areas. But not much, if any rain. Spare a thought for friends across

:08:00. > :08:04.south-Eastern Europe. We have had torrential downpours over Italy into

:08:05. > :08:07.the Balkans, parts of Greece and further heavy thundery downpours

:08:08. > :08:12.expected could cause further issues. You can see the extent of the cloud

:08:13. > :08:17.here. Back home we've had well-broken cloud. If you look to

:08:18. > :08:20.the north, there is a greater than average chance of seeing the

:08:21. > :08:24.northern lights, would you believe - that is because we have high solar

:08:25. > :08:29.activity. Good luck with that. Weather wise, not a lot going on.

:08:30. > :08:32.Dry, murky out there. We have got some fog across parts of eastern

:08:33. > :08:38.Scotland, through central areas as well. Fog patches over north-east

:08:39. > :08:45.England too. A fair bit of cloud. Where we have clear skies,

:08:46. > :08:46.temperatures falling away. In rural spots temperatures dipping down
