:01:13. > :01:17.Sammuel was last seen outside a city centre bar.
:01:18. > :01:19.Our reporter, Ali Vowles, has followed the search teal
:01:20. > :01:35.I have been out and about all day with the police as they look for
:01:36. > :01:42.Sammuel Amin, or Sam as he hs known to his friends. His family `re
:01:43. > :01:47.distraught. They just want to find him. He was just a young man on a
:01:48. > :01:55.night out and was hoping to continue with his studies. In the brhght
:01:56. > :02:02.sunshine, police divers entdred the Avon, hoping to eliminate this line
:02:03. > :02:04.of enquiry. Today, Sam's picture is everywhere on social media. Everyone
:02:05. > :02:08.is keen to discover what happened. Sam had been out for the night
:02:09. > :02:11.and ended up here at Opa, a Greek basement bar
:02:12. > :02:13.and restaurant on North Par`de. He left around two am
:02:14. > :02:28.and was caught on CCTV as hd walked He turned to cold, and this is the
:02:29. > :02:33.last that anyone saw all of him We know he took that route frol CCTV,
:02:34. > :02:37.but he has not been seen or heard of since. We are very worried `bout
:02:38. > :02:41.this disappears which is very out of character. Everyone says he is a
:02:42. > :02:44.healthy young man, there ard no concerns about his welfare before
:02:45. > :02:53.going missing. He was probably drunk on his walkable. `` walk hole. It is
:02:54. > :02:55.completely out of the ordin`ry. the police were out searching
:02:56. > :02:58.for any clues as to what might have happened to Sam on his routd
:02:59. > :03:08.from the club to his home. Divers are researching the stretch
:03:09. > :03:11.of the river next to the pattern where Sam may have walked. His
:03:12. > :03:12.friends say he often used the river route to get back to Twerton.
:03:13. > :03:17.It's a popular route with cxclists and walkers at any time of day
:03:18. > :03:20.Today, although none of them wanted to be filmed,
:03:21. > :03:23.they were giving out leaflets, to jog the public?s memory.
:03:24. > :03:30.While the divers are getting ready to go in the water, 12 will be going
:03:31. > :03:37.in, searching in this area to start with. It is next to the towpath
:03:38. > :03:42.where Sam may have walked. They will be talking to friends, family, taxi
:03:43. > :03:44.divers. Everyone is desperate to find him.
:03:45. > :03:46.The River Avon has seen its fair share of tragedy over
:03:47. > :03:50.As the search continues for clues, all hope Sam will be found `live
:03:51. > :04:06.You can see the divers at the moment, but they are still out
:04:07. > :04:08.there. The police say the c`t `` family are being comforted by
:04:09. > :04:11.friends and the local vicar. Let me just give you
:04:12. > :04:13.a description of Sam. He's described as asian,
:04:14. > :04:16.5ft 11inches tall, of slim build He was wearing blue jeans and a
:04:17. > :04:20.red and black lumber`style jacket. Tomorrow it's possible that police
:04:21. > :04:29.divers will continue their search The police are really keen to hear
:04:30. > :04:31.from anyone who may have spotted him.
:04:32. > :04:34.Wiltshire's chief constable, Pat Geenty, is being investigatdd by the
:04:35. > :04:37.police watchdog following complaints about the way the force handled
:04:38. > :04:43.The Independent Police Complaints Commission is also investig`ting
:04:44. > :04:46.the actions of an inspector and a detective constable.
:04:47. > :04:50.Mr Geenty has said he's shocked by the allegation.
:04:51. > :04:51.This latest development means that three of
:04:52. > :04:56.the West's most senior officers are now the subject of investig`tions.
:04:57. > :04:58.Here's our Home Affairs Correspondent,
:04:59. > :05:02.In 2008, Pat Geenty was Wiltshire's assistant
:05:03. > :05:06.chief constable when the force received allegations from a member
:05:07. > :05:12.The victim and the alleged abuser were not police officers
:05:13. > :05:15.A year later a complaint was made about how the
:05:16. > :05:19.And now it's been claimed that the detective inspector
:05:20. > :05:23.and a detective constable whthheld information from the complahnants
:05:24. > :05:29.It?s also claimed that Patrick Geenty, in his role
:05:30. > :05:32.as assistant chief constabld, also kept back information `nd
:05:33. > :05:44.I am shocked by the allegathon that I suspect do have misled a
:05:45. > :05:55.compliment. Mr Geenty remains in his job
:05:56. > :05:57.as chief constable today. But the inspector,
:05:58. > :05:59.who hasn't been named, The detective constable has been
:06:00. > :06:17.removed from operational duties The IP CC says it is confiddnt that
:06:18. > :06:21.its forces take complaints seriously and will act with integrity.
:06:22. > :06:23.In Avon and Somerset, chief constable Nick Gargan remains
:06:24. > :06:25.suspended following allegathons of inappropriate behaviour with two
:06:26. > :06:27.female members of staff and data protection offences.
:06:28. > :06:29.He strongly denies these allegations.
:06:30. > :06:30.And Gloucestershire's chief constable Suzette Davenport has been
:06:31. > :06:33.the subject of a long running IPCC investigation into her part in
:06:34. > :06:38.As in all matters surrounding chief constables, any decision on their
:06:39. > :06:47.employment is made by the individual police and crime commissiondr.
:06:48. > :06:50.Three men have been released on bail after a man was allegedly thrown
:06:51. > :06:54.from a van in Wotton`under`ddge leaving him critically injured.
:06:55. > :06:55.The 41`year`old is in a life threatening condition
:06:56. > :06:59.in hospital following the incident on Saturday night.
:07:00. > :07:02.Police would like to hear from anyone who may have sedn
:07:03. > :07:07.a green Volkswagen van drivhng the wrong way down a one way street
:07:08. > :07:10.A former Mayor of Weston`super`Mare has been sentenced to 14 months in

:07:46. > :07:50.The case has been described in court today as particularly nasty
:07:51. > :08:02.Shandy's owner, Veronica Rehd, had nothing to say
:08:03. > :08:05.as she left Salisbury Magistrates Court with her partner Jon @llen.
:08:06. > :08:08.The court had heard Allen and his friend, Paul Brown,
:08:09. > :08:14.had approached a vet to ask about having the aggressive dog ptt down.
:08:15. > :08:16.It was in the attic of this terraced house in J`nuary
:08:17. > :08:20.when Allen and Brown, instructed by Reid, decided to take
:08:21. > :08:26.They suspended Shandy by the neck until the collie dog died.
:08:27. > :08:29.A death the court heard was unnecessary and would've catsed
:08:30. > :08:38.The RSPCA began investigating after a conversation with a neighbour
:08:39. > :08:41.All three had pleaded guiltx at a previous hearing.
:08:42. > :08:46.Today, Reid was given 18 wedks and Allen 23 weeks in custody,
:08:47. > :08:51.A warrant was issued for Paul Brown's arrest
:08:52. > :08:56.Sentencing the couple, Mrs Aitken`Sykes described
:08:57. > :09:00.the crime as a particularly nasty and revolting action.
:09:01. > :09:04.She said that there were alternatives too.
:09:05. > :09:07.As well as suspended prison sentences they've been banndd
:09:08. > :09:22.There are charities that will help and if you've been to them `nd
:09:23. > :09:27.explain the situation, of course they will help. The vets can also
:09:28. > :09:31.provide payment plans to help spread out the cost if they can afford that
:09:32. > :09:33.in one go. There are other options. Hanging a dog is never an option.
:09:34. > :09:36.The court heard the couple has suffered vilification in Trowbridge
:09:37. > :09:42.A meeting is being held tonhght to reassure people who live
:09:43. > :09:44.in one of the areas of Gloucestershire where thd badger

:11:11. > :11:13.who are visiting. We look to resolve those with the work we have
:11:14. > :11:18.completed to date. What sort of problems are you encounter hn?
:11:19. > :11:23.Lights shone into peoples homes is an issue, also trespassing of the
:11:24. > :11:28.parts. With the pathways issue we are working with the highwaxs public
:11:29. > :11:35.lights and byways officers to resolve these issues. The issue is
:11:36. > :11:38.also with protesters? Yes, we are approaching those in a fair and
:11:39. > :11:43.impartial manner and are happy to speak with all communities. The Carl

:12:43. > :12:44.has been to meet Hollie's f`mily, Straightening,
:12:45. > :12:51.cutting and colouring: For 18`year`old Laura Tibbetts,
:12:52. > :12:55.this is all a dream come trte. The teenager from Gloucester has
:12:56. > :12:58.always wanted to be a hairdresser, but the cost of getting started
:12:59. > :13:15.on a course meant she just couldn't It is an honour to be chosen to
:13:16. > :13:21.this. It is nice to be carrying on the
:13:22. > :13:27.legacy of her. I wouldn't bd able to do this without her fund.
:13:28. > :13:30.The fund was set up in Hollhe's memory, after she was killed
:13:31. > :13:32.by her ex boyfriend, whilst at work back in Febrtary
:13:33. > :13:35.So far it's raised more than ?50,000, and the family are choosing
:13:36. > :13:45.to use some of it to help others in the local area.
:13:46. > :13:56.We didn't want Holly to be `nother statistic. We don't it was `
:13:57. > :14:00.positive way of reacting to such a tragic incident. She was a wonderful
:14:01. > :14:03.And there are plans to do even more in the future.
:14:04. > :14:06.The fund is hoping help trahn other hairdressers spot signs
:14:07. > :14:08.of domestic abuse , and the sort of unhealthy relationship,
:14:09. > :14:25.It's a case of noticing when relationships are unhealthy and when
:14:26. > :14:33.domestic abuse is evident. Hopefully, we can save people from

:21:01. > :21:03.The Lord Mayor of Bristol officially opened the
:21:04. > :21:19.There were four radio studios, three for speech and drama and ond big
:21:20. > :21:29.The outbreak of war transformed things.
:21:30. > :21:31.With London under heavy bombing the BBC sent it entire
:21:32. > :21:36.entertainment department to the comparative safety of Bristol.
:21:37. > :21:39.The big names put on their radio shows in parhsh halls
:21:40. > :21:43.The aim was to keep up the nation's spirits
:21:44. > :22:04.Bristol hosted productions such as ITAM (It's That Man Again.)
:22:05. > :22:06.With the threat of invasion and the ever present danger
:22:07. > :22:13.of bombing, BBC set up its very fortress, in Bristol.
:22:14. > :22:16.It has a control room and emergency studios.
:22:17. > :22:19.But is there any trace of it left today?

:22:27. > :22:36.The secret BBC studios were hidden inside the Clifton rocks
