:01:52. > :01:54.brought up in Britain but w`nt to go and fight for eyesore, let le say

:01:55. > :02:09.this, we will use everything we can to stop them. `` Isil. That has

:02:10. > :02:12.Yusra Hussien gone too far? Today, a press conference with her atnts and

:02:13. > :02:20.mother seated in the middle who made an emotional plea for her

:02:21. > :02:28.15`year`old daughter to comd home. I am your mother. Please come back, we

:02:29. > :02:35.miss you. It is feared Yusr` Hussien may have been tempted to john an

:02:36. > :02:39.extremist army that the polhce say there was no concrete evidence of

:02:40. > :02:45.her intentions. We have a tdenage girl missing and we don't know where

:02:46. > :02:50.she is. A 15`year`old girl hs missing from our family. Yusra

:02:51. > :02:54.Hussien was a typical teenage girl from a loving family and thdy said

:02:55. > :02:59.their last conversation with her was eight days ago on Tuesday evening

:03:00. > :03:04.about school the next morning. She has been described as I am ` star

:03:05. > :03:12.student who was dedicated to her education but last Wednesdax morning

:03:13. > :03:17.she didn't headed to school. `` and a star student. It is thought she

:03:18. > :03:24.met up with another 17`year`old girl and they took the play `` playing to

:03:25. > :03:28.Turkey. Please see they werd doing everything they could to tr`ck her

:03:29. > :03:34.down. We are working with ahrports to get CCTV and making extensive

:03:35. > :03:39.enquiries. We are working through a huge volume of CCTV in Bristol and

:03:40. > :03:45.airports at internationally and we're working with organisations

:03:46. > :03:49.internationally to track her down. The family wouldn't say how she had

:03:50. > :03:55.paid for the plane ticket or what belongings she had taken with her

:03:56. > :03:57.but pleaded instead directlx to the missing child to come home to a

:03:58. > :04:01.family who are desperate for news. Joining us now is Hibaq Jam`,

:04:02. > :04:04.who is the Labour counsellor for Lawrence Hill in Bristol

:04:05. > :04:14.and originally from Somalia. It was a very emotional press

:04:15. > :04:18.conference today for the falily to go through. What has been the

:04:19. > :04:28.reaction as far as you can gauge from the Somali community? The

:04:29. > :04:34.reaction is one of shock, ddspair and ultimately hope that thhs young

:04:35. > :04:37.15`year`old will come home. It is a double problem. Not only has she

:04:38. > :04:43.gone missing but there was `lso the suggestion that she may be hnvolved

:04:44. > :04:49.in terrorism in some way. What has been the local feeling about that? A

:04:50. > :04:54.lot of the people that know Yusra Hussien and her family, there mind

:04:55. > :04:58.is preoccupied with hoping this young girl will come home. With

:04:59. > :05:03.regards to any other suggestions about drugs it `` but can I say we

:05:04. > :05:08.have to wait until the police investigation is carried out to

:05:09. > :05:11.provide us with the answers to these questions. Are you worried `bout

:05:12. > :05:14.community relations, that pdople outside the Somali communitx may

:05:15. > :05:22.see, perhaps those views of widespread within that area? I think

:05:23. > :05:29.in terms of the non`Somali community in Bristol, I have a lot of hope and

:05:30. > :05:34.admiration and confidence in them to understand that what we havd here is

:05:35. > :05:38.a missing 15`year`old girl. I have the confidence in them to understand

:05:39. > :05:43.the Somali community is not one unit that all things the same thhng. It

:05:44. > :05:56.is a diverse community, much like the British community. Are those

:05:57. > :06:00.views held at all by the colmunity? I'm afraid the Somali community is

:06:01. > :06:04.much the same as their whitd British ministry. There are people from all

:06:05. > :06:07.walks of life who believe lots of different things and I will not be

:06:08. > :06:12.prepared to say that every single member thinks the way I think. We

:06:13. > :06:20.are a diverse community in dvery sense of the world. Have I seen or

:06:21. > :06:23.heard any sympathising with this extremist group or any extrdmist

:06:24. > :06:31.group, I have to be honest `nd say the answer is, no, the majority of

:06:32. > :06:41.the people that I serve, all hold this extremist group and all others

:06:42. > :06:45.in contempt. The important thing is to find this missing girl so if you

:06:46. > :06:47.have any information at all, you are being asked to contact the police.

:06:48. > :06:59.There is a national 101 number. Two men arrested

:07:00. > :07:01.in connection with the murddr of Barry Rubery from Iron Acton

:07:02. > :07:05.have been released on policd bail. Mr Rubery's body was found

:07:06. > :07:09.at his home over four years ago The two men are aged 30 and 19 and

:07:10. > :07:13.were arrested yesterday evening one Meanwhile a man's been arrested

:07:14. > :07:23.on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was fotnd

:07:24. > :07:25.in Norton Fitzwarren, near Taunton. Police were called to a homd

:07:26. > :07:28.on Hilly Park yesterday evening The man, who's 27, is currently

:07:29. > :07:35.being questioned by police. A Bristol MP has called

:07:36. > :07:37.for a key member Charlotte Leslie says there's

:07:38. > :07:42.a conflict of interest ` because the patient representative

:07:43. > :07:44.on Healthwatch is also a senior manager at a private hospit`l that

:07:45. > :07:48.operates on NHS patients. But Healthwatch says the conflict

:07:49. > :07:52.of interest was declared The scandal of Mid Staffordshire

:07:53. > :08:05.Hospital where hundreds of patients were neglected, happened

:08:06. > :08:07.because they were not listened to. There were too many groups

:08:08. > :08:10.scrutinising the NHS but none Since then, the NHS reforms have

:08:11. > :08:16.brought in a new organisation called Healthwatch to scrutinise hospitals

:08:17. > :08:22.like this one at Emersons Green There are now concerns over

:08:23. > :08:25.the person Healthwatch have appointed to represent patidnt

:08:26. > :08:29.views, called Mona Van Wyk. That is because she happens to be

:08:30. > :08:32.the chief nurse here and he`d Mona Van Wyk says she has ddclared

:08:33. > :08:39.this conflict of interest at Healthwatch's website but it

:08:40. > :08:44.only describes her as a midwife with I want to talk about conflicts

:08:45. > :08:51.of interest. Her appointment has been rahsed with

:08:52. > :08:55.councillors from Mona Van Wyk referred me to

:08:56. > :09:00.Healthwatch for any comments and in the statement they said they

:09:01. > :09:03.would be happy to improve the information on their website

:09:04. > :09:09.but stand by her appointment. Declarations have been recorded and

:09:10. > :09:15.are a matter of record and ht is certainly not Healthwatch's opinion

:09:16. > :09:21.that anyone should be barred from serving with Healthwatch on the

:09:22. > :09:28.basis that they work in health care. Charlotte is used to

:09:29. > :09:30.scrutinising the NHS. The MP sits on the Health Sdlect

:09:31. > :09:33.Committee and feels this conflict of The problem with NHS

:09:34. > :09:40.and whistle`blowing and getting patients' concerns heard

:09:41. > :09:44.as it has always been a stitch up. The people who are supposed to

:09:45. > :09:47.listen to the concerns have been the people who may be causing

:09:48. > :09:49.the concern. To have a position where yot have

:09:50. > :09:52.the public can feel has a conflict`of`interest in a new

:09:53. > :09:56.body that is supposed to be an With Healthwatch standing bx

:09:57. > :10:04.Mona Van Wyk, some companies will continue to have little faith that

:10:05. > :10:17.their voices being heard. It's Wednesday

:10:18. > :10:24.and you're watching BBC Points West We've got lots more still to come

:10:25. > :10:28.on the programme, including Dairy Farmers say they'll blockade

:10:29. > :10:41.milk processors within a wedk. We had the driest September on

:10:42. > :10:47.record but what does October holds. Join me to find out.

:10:48. > :10:51.A Bristol businessman has donated ?1 million to UKIP.

:10:52. > :10:54.Arron Banks, who's given money to the Conservatives in the past,

:10:55. > :10:58.had planned to donate ?100,000 but he upped it to a million after

:10:59. > :11:05.I will be talking live to UKIP's leader Nigel Farage in a molent

:11:06. > :11:08.but first lets join our Political Editor Paul Barltop who's

:11:09. > :11:28.Aaron Banks bought this six years ago. His wife tells me they live in

:11:29. > :11:31.a nicer place down the road. He has been a long`time supporter of the

:11:32. > :11:36.Conservatives and has often given them tens of thousands of pounds. He

:11:37. > :11:42.has switched his allegiance to UKIP and started planning to givd them

:11:43. > :11:44.?100,000. So riled was he from the reaction of senior Conservatives, he

:11:45. > :11:56.upped it to ?1 million. Nigel Farage was beaming. Bdside him

:11:57. > :12:02.is that Bristol businessman who had given UKIP its biggest single

:12:03. > :12:07.donation. The pledge of ?1 lillion is a very significant advance, not

:12:08. > :12:12.just in the by`election is going on but towards the general election

:12:13. > :12:14.that takes place next year. Aaron Banks has made his money in

:12:15. > :12:20.insurance and has given tens of thousands to the Conservatives. He

:12:21. > :12:26.once stood as a candidate. Britain's future as an international

:12:27. > :12:32.trading country, I believe the European Community is bringhng us

:12:33. > :12:36.down. Hence the move to UKIP. Coming on the last day of the confdrence,

:12:37. > :12:40.the Tories knew this was a spoiler. The party had been trying to shift

:12:41. > :12:45.the spotlight back to their carefully choreographed polhcy

:12:46. > :12:53.announcements. Today the line was that this is no big deal. Pdople are

:12:54. > :12:58.going to announce defections when there are events like this. We don't

:12:59. > :13:04.want the headlines like this but we take it on the chin. It really isn't

:13:05. > :13:13.the big important issues for people at home. Today's media circts maybe

:13:14. > :13:19.not be the last. Fancy a cr`ck at the Parliamentary seats arotnd here?

:13:20. > :13:28.I think so. You have to makd up your mind in weeks. You twisted ly arm.

:13:29. > :13:36.For UKIP, another successful day, stealing some of the limelight from

:13:37. > :13:44.the Tories. I am joined now by Nigel Farage, the leader of UKIP. Good

:13:45. > :13:49.evening. Good evening. Mr B`nks describes himself as a board

:13:50. > :13:54.multimillionaire. If we leave Europe and the gambling goes wrong, he will

:13:55. > :13:58.be OK. What about the rest of us? We will not have to put up with

:13:59. > :14:04.open`door immigration, the huge compression on wages that wd have

:14:05. > :14:08.seen over the last ten years. We will not have to put up with endless

:14:09. > :14:13.onshore and offshore wind ttrbines being built to meet targets and the

:14:14. > :14:20.rest of us will not have to put up with our taxes being given to pay

:14:21. > :14:29.?55 million a day to Brussels. Please don't misunderstand le. We

:14:30. > :14:33.will go on buying and selling goods with our neighbours in Europe. We

:14:34. > :14:37.will get back our democracy, get back our ability to run our own

:14:38. > :14:41.country, get back the very thing that those that went before us

:14:42. > :14:50.fought for, that we can govdrn our own country. With that I thhnk our

:14:51. > :14:56.pride and self`respect to. The CBI and other groups say Britain's

:14:57. > :15:01.interest is in the EU. The big corporate steel and the CBI bosses

:15:02. > :15:05.have been saying this. Remelber this, the very same people that run

:15:06. > :15:09.the CBI that see our future depends on remaining part of the European

:15:10. > :15:14.Union, with the very same pdople who said if we didn't join the duro it

:15:15. > :15:19.would all go wrong. Their track record is abysmal. When you talk to

:15:20. > :15:24.their members, to the companies themselves, you'd get a verx

:15:25. > :15:29.different perspective. I wotld like your take on another big story here

:15:30. > :15:32.today. The 15`year`old girl who has gone missing from Bristol. Ht is

:15:33. > :15:39.feared she has been radicalhsed and on her way to Syria. How wotld UKIP

:15:40. > :15:43.deal with the issue of integration? For the last 15 years, the governed

:15:44. > :15:48.has been busy fighting the war on foreign fronts, launching w`rs all

:15:49. > :15:53.over the place, bombing campaigns and another one we are engaged in.

:15:54. > :15:58.Haven't fight `` fought the war on the home front. Michael Govd as

:15:59. > :16:02.Education Secretary tried to seek out and destroy radicalisathon

:16:03. > :16:06.within our schools in Birmingham, not too far away. For his efforts,

:16:07. > :16:13.he was sacked by David Cameron last time round. We have to be stronger

:16:14. > :16:14.and more muscular in our defence of our Judeo Christian culture. Thank

:16:15. > :16:17.you for joining us. Angry dairy farmers in the

:16:18. > :16:20.West Country are preparing to take direct action to protect

:16:21. > :16:22.the future of their industrx. Farmers for Action say withhn

:16:23. > :16:25.the week they will be organhsing blockades of dairy processors,

:16:26. > :16:28.the middle men, who they sax are responsible for driving

:16:29. > :16:31.down the price paid to farmdrs. Two of

:16:32. > :16:33.the largest processors have recently announced cuts to farm gate prices

:16:34. > :16:36.but say the problem has been caused Our Somerset Correspondent was

:16:37. > :16:57.at today's Dairy Show at thd Dairy farming, it is frequently a

:16:58. > :17:02.struggle. The only times we have succeeded in getting our milk price

:17:03. > :17:06.back to where it is going to be is one we have actually gone ott and

:17:07. > :17:10.caused some pain. This man says it is time for farmers to stand up and

:17:11. > :17:16.fight for a better deal. He means direct action. This is what he is

:17:17. > :17:20.talking about, the kind of blockades of dairy processors we have seen in

:17:21. > :17:27.the past. Farmers will be t`rgeting the processes and where it hsn't

:17:28. > :17:32.clear that the when is. Davhd Handley making it clear head that

:17:33. > :17:38.there will be direct action and in four days time. The question is how

:17:39. > :17:43.much anger is there among Wdst Country dairy farmers? How lany of

:17:44. > :17:49.them will be willing to takd part? You have to protest. I think we need

:17:50. > :17:54.to be there. It is not right that our product is worth less than

:17:55. > :18:01.water. Are you going to be out there? It is the only way wd will

:18:02. > :18:07.increase things. Two of the biggest processors have cut prices `nd now

:18:08. > :18:13.on average farmers get 27p for each litre. They say it actually costs

:18:14. > :18:19.them 30p a litre to produce and it sells in supermarkets for around

:18:20. > :18:24.44p. Small wonder that therd weren't too many happy faces at the dairy

:18:25. > :18:31.show. Not even me show organiser could raise a smile. Then, `s a

:18:32. > :18:37.dairy farmer himself, he saxs the latest cuts have cost him ?33,0 0.

:18:38. > :18:41.When people were starting to come out of a difficult time and looking

:18:42. > :18:47.forward to a bright future, these cuts have come as a big shock. Milk

:18:48. > :18:52.processors say it is not thdir fault and part of a cycle of milk prices.

:18:53. > :18:59.High a year ago and now low because of a world of the milk. The future

:19:00. > :19:06.of dairy farming was on show here today, a robotic milk parlotr. In

:19:07. > :19:07.today's economic climate, there didn't seem to be too many people

:19:08. > :19:12.queueing up to buy. Two weeks

:19:13. > :19:14.after lightning struck a hotse in Wiltshire, the owners still don t

:19:15. > :19:17.know the full extent of the damage. Terry and Sylvia Cook from Lelksham

:19:18. > :19:19.were on holiday in Greece when they heard the house w`s alight

:19:20. > :19:34.and that the roof had caved in. It might have been one of the driest

:19:35. > :19:38.September but try telling that to people living in Wiltshire. Two

:19:39. > :19:43.weeks ago the heavens opened with ten to 20 millimetres of water

:19:44. > :19:48.falling just four hours. Thhs house was badly hit by lightning. The fire

:19:49. > :19:56.damage so severe that the roof caved in. Luckily, no one was hurt as the

:19:57. > :20:02.owners were on holiday. For now the local pub is their home. It is very

:20:03. > :20:09.frustrating. The simple things that you take the granted, you c`n do any

:20:10. > :20:12.of this. They feel they are in limbo land while the scaffolding goes up

:20:13. > :20:15.and they wait for the assessors to arrive. Two weeks on and thdy have

:20:16. > :20:25.still not been allowed in the main body of the house. Upstairs is just

:20:26. > :20:30.too dangerous. Out in the g`rden, it looks normal. The heat of the tiles

:20:31. > :20:34.has melted the hosepipe. Frustratingly, Selby and Terry still

:20:35. > :20:37.haven't seen the extent of the damage for themselves. Therd is some

:20:38. > :20:44.good news. This week they h`ve been allowed in the conservatory. I am

:20:45. > :20:50.amazed it survived. I assumdd the tiles would have made holes. The

:20:51. > :21:00.firemen you that and they ptt stuff from the sap downstairs awax. We are

:21:01. > :21:06.so grateful. They have been told it will be at least six months before

:21:07. > :21:11.they can return home. Until then, all they can do is wait. Wh`t has

:21:12. > :21:18.happened has happened and wd have to be as positive as we can.

:21:19. > :21:22.Generations of motorists have had to buy and display them, but from today

:21:23. > :21:29.You still have to pay the road tax but you no longer have

:21:30. > :21:40.For one Wiltshire collector though, it's good news.

:21:41. > :21:43.Here's our Home Affairs Correspondent, Steve Brodie.

:21:44. > :21:47.First introduced back in 1921, tax discs have been part of British

:21:48. > :22:01.They may be out of date, but some have a surprising value.

:22:02. > :22:03.One of the reasons why thesd 19 1 and 1922, task discs are

:22:04. > :22:06.so valuable and interesting and they had to be handed in before

:22:07. > :22:10.When you look at this one, March 1921,

:22:11. > :22:19.When you cut out the tax disc, the bits that you are cutting out

:22:20. > :22:24.If you kept the salvage with all of your tax discs,

:22:25. > :22:30.There was a couple of thousand discs in this box

:22:31. > :22:34.and may represent a history of how the government has ilposed

:22:35. > :22:42.The decision to abolish thel could be good news for collectors.

:22:43. > :22:50.This is going to be an advantage to anyone who has

:22:51. > :22:55.a collection because I am confident they will increase in value.

:22:56. > :22:58.With the abolition of the f`miliar disks, how will the police know if

:22:59. > :23:02.This camera is linked directly to the licensing authorities

:23:03. > :23:05.Automatic numberplate recognition will reveal

:23:06. > :23:17.This car's numberplate has provoked a response and the

:23:18. > :23:23.In fact in this case, there is nothing wrong.

:23:24. > :23:26.The abolition of discs isn't a green light for

:23:27. > :23:37.You won't be able to enforcd it by walking down the street

:23:38. > :23:48.Tony Hill is keeping a firm grasp on his collection of historhc

:23:49. > :24:23.My dashboard will feel naked without them.
