:00:17. > :00:21.Good evening. Tributes have been paid to a paraglider who died after

:00:21. > :00:24.an accident on a beach in Pembrokeshire. Steve John, who was

:00:24. > :00:30.42, and from Milford Haven, has been described as a "funny, caring,

:00:30. > :00:33.warm family man" who excelled at many outdoor sports. Here's Kate

:00:34. > :00:39.Morgan. Steve John from Milford Haven had

:00:39. > :00:41.only recently qualified as a paraglider. It was here on Newgale

:00:41. > :00:48.beach near Haverfordwest yesterday afternoon that the 42-year-old was

:00:49. > :00:54.enjoying his new hobby. But he got in to trouble on the rocks of the

:00:54. > :00:59.beach. The father of two was flown by RAF rescue helicopter to

:00:59. > :01:08.Withybush Hospital nearby, where he later died. His friend and fellow

:01:08. > :01:12.paraglider Nick Bamber says his death is a huge loss. The whole

:01:12. > :01:17.paragliding community is still reeling with the shock of the awful

:01:17. > :01:21.tragedy, to be almost. He was an absolutely fantastic dive. He was

:01:21. > :01:26.cared for by the paragliding community. He was a very outdoors

:01:26. > :01:29.the guy, an adventurous guy. Police say they've spoken to Mr John's

:01:29. > :01:31.family, and are now appealing for anyone who saw the accident to get

:01:31. > :01:33.in touch. The Ffos Las racecourse near

:01:33. > :01:37.Trimsaran in Carmarthenshire is facing an uncertain future because

:01:37. > :01:41.of planned changes to next year's fixtures list. That's the warning

:01:41. > :01:45.tonight for its bosses who say they could lose around 13 race meetings

:01:45. > :01:50.next year. The British Horseracing Authority plans to cap fixtures

:01:50. > :01:53.because of concerns over declining horse numbers.

:01:53. > :01:57.A thousand tonnes of mussels are to be dredged from the Dee Estuary off

:01:57. > :02:00.Flintshire to save the local cockle population. A mussel colony has

:02:00. > :02:03.invaded a sandbank there and there are fears it could damage the

:02:03. > :02:13.livelihood of local fishermen. Environment Agency Wales says

:02:13. > :02:17.mussels can smother cockles, eventually killing them. These have

:02:17. > :02:21.accumulated over the last couple of years, and, unfortunately, the

:02:21. > :02:26.mussels and cockles don't get along together, so what we are hoping to

:02:26. > :02:29.do is remove some of those muscles to give to -- to give the cockles a

:02:29. > :02:32.chance to thrive and increase. Paralympic Champion Simon

:02:32. > :02:35.Richardson, who was injured in a road accident nearly 2 weeks ago,

:02:35. > :02:37.has been brought out of sedation and is breathing without a

:02:37. > :02:47.ventilator. He's been communicating with his wife Amanda by raising his

:02:47. > :02:48.

:02:48. > :02:52.eyebrows and blinking. He remains in a critical but stable condition.

:02:52. > :02:55.A busy day of sport. Football. Wrexham remain top of the

:02:55. > :02:58.Blue Square Premier after a comfortable win over Fleetwood Town.

:02:58. > :03:01.2-0 the final score, Jake Speight and Andy Morrell with the goals.

:03:01. > :03:05.But Newport County have lost twice in three days. They went down 3-1

:03:05. > :03:08.at home to Kidderminster. Dai Greene says he's in a confident

:03:08. > :03:13.mood as he prepares for tomorrow's semi final of the 400 metre hurdles

:03:13. > :03:18.at the World Championships in South Korea. Greene finished join fastest

:03:18. > :03:23.in his heat this morning. And Brett Morse has also qualified

:03:23. > :03:29.for tomorrow's discus final. The 22-year-old from Cardiff just

:03:29. > :03:32.managed to secure his spot as the last qualifier in 12th place.

:03:32. > :03:41.Cricket, and in their 40 overs match, Glamorgan won the toss and

:03:41. > :03:47.put the Unicorns in to bat. They reached 192 runs in their 40 overs.

:03:47. > :03:57.In reply, Glamorgan had reached 132-2 after 28 overs.

:03:57. > :03:57.

:03:57. > :04:01.A mixed Bank Holiday for many of us It is looking quiet, but it is not

:04:01. > :04:07.straightforward. This evening, some clear spells developing, especially

:04:07. > :04:11.the further inland you off. A bit more cloud remaining the further

:04:11. > :04:17.North you are. Just a few coastal showers, they are isolated. The

:04:17. > :04:27.majority of us getting away with a dry night. Some mist forming on the

:04:27. > :04:28.

:04:28. > :04:33.coast. The winds ease overnight. The pressure chart shows an area of

:04:33. > :04:39.high pressure sitting comfortably over the UK, but there is a lot of

:04:39. > :04:44.cloud -- cloud trapped in it. It should be a fairly dry few days.

:04:44. > :04:47.They should be some of his sunny spells tomorrow morning. It will

:04:47. > :04:51.start to cloud overthrew the day, and there will be a few coastal

:04:51. > :04:57.showers in the North but for the majority of us, it will stay dry

:04:57. > :05:01.but tomorrow. Highs of 18, cloudy, with some sunny spells developing.

:05:01. > :05:05.The winds lighter than today, so it should feel warmer as we go through

:05:05. > :05:09.the day. Tomorrow evening, it is looking quiet, with more cloud, and

:05:09. > :05:13.we will see some mist forming in the earlier hours of Wednesday

:05:13. > :05:22.morning, staying largely dry with the odd isolated shower.

:05:23. > :05:27.Temperatures holding up at about nine-12. On Wednesday, the winds --

:05:28. > :05:31.the sunshine will come through, and staying dry. It is starting to feel

:05:32. > :05:40.warmer towards the end the week. Staying settled this week, but into

:05:40. > :05:43.the weekend, more unsettled weather. A beautiful picture of a storm over
