:10:13. > :10:18.Religious leaders in Wales have defended a growing tendency to hold

:10:53. > :10:57.busy schedules. We rip be on a Sunday as well, it is either finish
:10:57. > :11:02.with Sunday-school or bring it forward to a Friday. Some religious
:11:02. > :11:07.leaders feel that Sunday-school loses its meaning. It it -- if it
:11:08. > :11:12.isn't held on the 7th day. Sunday was made so that we could come
:11:12. > :11:21.together as Christians, to be together, to worship together, to

:11:37. > :11:41.inevitable move. Times have changed. We had to do on a Sunday when I was

:12:11. > :12:15.There are still many churches that are using Sundays very creatively
:12:15. > :12:20.with all sorts of new services to attract children. We have to
:12:20. > :12:26.compete with children's activities, good sport and good internet. Many
:12:26. > :12:30.churches are responding to that. I would not want to limit children's
:12:30. > :12:34.work to Sundays. If we need to run a messy church on a Sunday school
:12:34. > :12:40.on a different day of the week, that seems to be an extremely good
:12:41. > :12:45.idea. Does the Church needs to continually adapt to modern life?
:12:45. > :12:49.It does need to be able to respond to what is happening in society. I
:12:49. > :12:54.was in mid- Wales recently and saw a lot of children going to a

:13:54. > :13:57.Vincent Price had roots in Wales. Back to the events marking
:13:57. > :14:00.Armistice Day and a newly restored War Memorial in the Rhymney Valley
:14:00. > :14:02.was unveiled this morning. Volunteers in Aberbargoed,
:14:02. > :14:04.including ex-servicemen and school children, have spent months
:14:04. > :14:13.repairing the 91-year-old memorial, and building a new garden of
:14:13. > :14:21.remembrance. Carwyn Jones has been following its progress.
:14:21. > :14:24.It was a mixture of pride and relief. Volunteers, young and old,
:14:24. > :14:29.had been working around the clock to ensure this memorial was ready
:14:29. > :14:35.for armistice day, and it was. Finally, a place where the village
:14:35. > :14:39.could come together to honour the fallen. But just one month ago, it
:14:39. > :14:42.looked more like a building site than a place of remembrance.
:14:42. > :14:45.Aberbargoed's war memorial dates back to 1920 but in recent years
:14:45. > :14:55.the site had fallen into disrepair and was becoming unsafe for the
:14:55. > :14:55.
:14:55. > :15:01.public. Something had to be done. There had been youngsters hanging
:15:01. > :15:05.around, drinking and whatever. It was very dark. There was no
:15:05. > :15:09.sunlight. With Armistice Day fast approaching, the community set
:15:09. > :15:12.about restoring the gates and the grounds. A building firm supplied
:15:12. > :15:21.its workforce free of charge and local primary school children
:15:21. > :15:26.braved the autumn rain to do the planting. We are planting to
:15:27. > :15:32.remember the people at Fort in the wars and died for a our country.
:15:32. > :15:35.Some people can come and sit down and enjoy the space. No stone was
:15:35. > :15:38.left unturned. The centre piece of the memorial is this plaque,
:15:38. > :15:41.salvaged from the local hospital just before it was demolished
:15:41. > :15:45.earlier this year. With just 48 hours to go, there was plenty of
:15:45. > :15:49.last minute work still to do, walls to be built, iron work to be
:15:49. > :15:52.painted. But the hard work paid off. This is the newly restored war
:15:52. > :15:56.memorial in Aberbargoed and this morning the community gathered here
:15:56. > :15:59.for its Armistice service. It was a time to remember those who gave
:15:59. > :16:07.their lives for freedom and a chance to thank the many volunteers
:16:07. > :16:15.who made today's event possible. It is something for us to be proud
:16:15. > :16:19.of and look forward to the future. There is a sense of pride today
:16:19. > :16:27.that after months of hard work, the gardens are now restored and opened.
:16:27. > :16:32.A fitting way for the committee to mark Armistice Day. -- community.
:16:32. > :16:35.The sport now. Here's Ashleigh. Wales captain Aaron Ramsey says he
:16:35. > :16:39.has no regrets over being photographed in a Team GB Olympic
:16:39. > :16:44.kit. Speaking ahead of the friendly with Norway tomorrow, he's repeated
:16:44. > :16:48.his desire to play at the Games in London next year. The FA of Wales
:16:48. > :16:52.is still opposed to any of its players taking part. Here's Tomos
:16:52. > :16:55.Dafydd. He's a man in the spotlight. Since posing in a Team GB football
:16:55. > :16:57.shirt, Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale have been criticised by fans
:16:57. > :17:07.worried a British Team could undermine Wales' footballing
:17:07. > :17:08.
:17:08. > :17:12.independence. But today, no regrets from Ramsey. Whatever I say about
:17:12. > :17:18.the Olympics, I will get a reaction, whether it is positive or negative.
:17:18. > :17:25.I have said what I have got to say about the Olympics. I do not want a
:17:25. > :17:29.say anything else. I am contracted to the Adidas and I was doing a
:17:29. > :17:39.shoot for them. He was hoping to focus on tomorrow's game against
:17:39. > :17:40.
:17:40. > :17:48.Norway, but the questions kept coming. I would like if we could
:17:48. > :17:51.just leave the Olympics one now. We have a game tomorrow. The Wales
:17:51. > :17:54.management says the controversy hasn't affected their preparation
:17:54. > :17:57.for the friendly with Norway. Gary Speed, who's guided his side to
:17:57. > :18:04.three wins in their last four games, says he's looking to build towards
:18:04. > :18:10.the World Cup qualifiers starting next year. We have progressed. We
:18:10. > :18:14.still have to improve in different areas. I feel that the commitment
:18:14. > :18:18.on the application they have shown, the things that we have thrown at
:18:18. > :18:24.them, they have taken it in their stride. I think there is a belief
:18:24. > :18:27.on they can see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. So Wales
:18:27. > :18:31.want to put an end to scrutiny surrounding its star players, but
:18:31. > :18:36.it's not likely to go away soon. Some fans are planning to air
:18:36. > :18:40.objections to a British Olympic Team known at the game tomorrow.
:18:40. > :18:43.This has been a bit of a saga but at last, the directors of Wrexham

:19:11. > :19:14.European club rugby makes a welcome return tonight when the Cardiff

:19:18. > :19:21.too, out in Paris against Racing Metro. But they do have Wales
:19:21. > :19:26.captain Sam Warburton back after serving a three-week suspension for
