:00:10. > :00:13.Good evening. There are calls to relax hunting

:00:14. > :00:17.restrictions and allow packs of dogs to flush out foxes on hill farms in

:00:18. > :00:20.Wales. The current law only allows two dogs to be used. Today,

:00:21. > :00:24.traditional Boxing Day hunts have been taking place amid concerns that

:00:25. > :00:33.an increasing number of lambs are being attacked by foxes. Jenny Rees

:00:34. > :00:40.reports. Derek Morgan farms sheep and cattle

:00:41. > :00:44.on the uplands of Llangurig in Powys. Over the years, he's lost a

:00:45. > :00:48.number of lambs - bad weather has played a part - but he says fox

:00:49. > :00:51.attacks are increasing. He's one of a number who are calling for a

:00:52. > :00:55.relaxation in hunting laws, to allow packs of hounds to flush out foxes,

:00:56. > :01:02.rather than just two, arguing it's more effective and humane. We've got

:01:03. > :01:06.two dogs chasing a fox all day and it seems ridiculous if you have a

:01:07. > :01:10.pack of hounds, they can flush them out and the job is done.

:01:11. > :01:13.The ban on hunting was brought in in 2004 and the South Pembrokeshire

:01:14. > :01:16.Foxhounds are among those that regularly trail hunt instead. Calls

:01:17. > :01:18.for a relaxation in the law have gained support from both

:01:19. > :01:23.Conservative, Liberal Democrat and Plaid Cymru politicians in Wales.

:01:24. > :01:25.But of course, any change would be controversial. Animal welfare

:01:26. > :01:37.campaigners remain firmly against the idea. This is trying to repeal

:01:38. > :01:42.the act through the back door. Just using two dogs can flush out a fox

:01:43. > :01:45.and the FA is an issue fox predation. The department for rural

:01:46. > :01:48.affairs in Westminster say the Government recognises that hunting

:01:49. > :01:51.evokes strong views. It will now ask MPs whether the Hunting Act should

:01:52. > :01:54.be repealed. Around 500 Cardiff City supporters

:01:55. > :01:56.protested against the club's owner, Vincent Tan, before this afternoon's

:01:57. > :01:59.Premier League match against Southampton. They're unhappy with

:02:00. > :02:12.the way he's running the club, after he threatened to sack manager Malky

:02:13. > :02:18.Mackay last week. They gathered to hours before kick-off to make their

:02:19. > :02:24.point. They say in Malaysia are Vincent Tan is trampling on the club

:02:25. > :02:28.'s traditions. Pointedly, almost all wearing blues. The core of these

:02:29. > :02:32.protesters have been angry ever since Titanic changed the club

:02:33. > :02:37.scholars but there are others who had reluctantly accepted that switch

:02:38. > :02:43.but have now changed their minds to the way the Marty Mackay has been

:02:44. > :02:49.treated. He could have been the best and only ever had if they'd left the

:02:50. > :02:56.football side to him. That's what most sensible fans want. Let him get

:02:57. > :03:04.on with the job he's been appointed. He's got to go. Time was inside the

:03:05. > :03:10.stadium during the hour-long protest at a later truck his seat next to

:03:11. > :03:15.chairman who is trying to enforce a truce. They could hold talks on

:03:16. > :03:21.Saturday but this afternoon 's defeat won't help ease tensions but

:03:22. > :03:28.Mackay refused to blame with the performance on off field issues. My

:03:29. > :03:33.staff and players are professional and our fans have been fantastic

:03:34. > :03:37.from day one. The bluebirds face Sunderland on Saturday.

:03:38. > :03:40.Elsewhere today - Swansea City lost 1-0 to an Eden Hazard goal at

:03:41. > :03:44.Chelsea. In League Two, Newport County won away at Wycombe 1-0 and

:03:45. > :03:46.in the Conference, there was a 3-2 defeat for Wrexham at home to

:03:47. > :03:51.Alfreton. Rugby, and a converted Ian Evans try

:03:52. > :03:53.late in the game gave the Ospreys a 10-points-to-6 win at the Scarlets

:03:54. > :03:56.in the Pro12. At half-time in today's other Welsh Derby, it was

:03:57. > :04:00.10-all for the Dragons and Blues. With warnings of some poor weather

:04:01. > :04:07.heading our way, the forecast with Kawser Quamer.

:04:08. > :04:11.Today has been other, before the storm in fact, when expecting some

:04:12. > :04:20.wet and windy weather to make its way across soon. We could see 10-20

:04:21. > :04:24.millimetres of rain and perhaps a little more over the hills and a

:04:25. > :04:28.chilly night in store. Temperatures in the low single figures but

:04:29. > :04:33.tomorrow, the main concern is the winds. The Met office have issued an

:04:34. > :04:39.amber weather warning as we could see gusts of up to 70 mph especially

:04:40. > :04:45.former Northern and westerly part of the country. There will be heavily

:04:46. > :04:50.scattered showers with drier weather in between. Temperatures between

:04:51. > :04:56.8-12dC. This weekend, eight, when after Friday at Sunday night into

:04:57. > :04:58.Monday and other weather front. That's the latest in Wales Today -

:04:59. > :05:09.We're back at 10.20pm. Goodbye. Hello there, most of us have had a

:05:10. > :05:13.quiet Boxing Day, mostly dry, chilly, lingering mist, light winds.

:05:14. > :05:18.That is all about to change. The next storm arriving on our doorstep

:05:19. > :05:25.right now, over night tonight will see wet and windy weather. The winds

:05:26. > :05:26.peak tomorrow lunchtime. It has started raining in Cornwall, the
