:00:10. > :00:15.Good evening. Protestors gathered in Pembrokeshire today to oppose plans

:00:16. > :00:21.to close the special care unit at Withybush Hospital and move the

:00:22. > :00:24.service to Carmarthen. Hywel Dda Health Board say the change will

:00:25. > :00:37.provide a better level of care. But around 1,000 campaigners called for

:00:38. > :00:41.a rethink. Sachin Krishnan reports. On a wet Sunday morning, the turnout

:00:42. > :00:46.showed the strength of feeling the issue of specialist baby care at

:00:47. > :00:50.Withybush has generated. This week came the news many here were

:00:51. > :00:54.dreading - the unit would be leaving Pembrokeshire and moving to

:00:55. > :00:57.Carmarthen's Glangwili Hospital. Today, patients and professionals

:00:58. > :01:02.joined together to deliver their message. We believe it should be

:01:03. > :01:06.centralised here. We agree there is a shortage of funds. We understand

:01:07. > :01:10.that. The people of Carmarthen have good road access to Swansea and the

:01:11. > :01:15.people of Llanelli, who are included within the health board, are on the

:01:16. > :01:19.doorstep of Swansea, so why should we be disadvantaged? Health minister

:01:20. > :01:25.insists that the plans to centralise the specialist baby unit income are

:01:26. > :01:28.then will improve care. Other hospitals in the Hywel Dda health

:01:29. > :01:32.board area will eventually provide midwife led services with a

:01:33. > :01:37.transport system to be developed to transfer emergency cases to

:01:38. > :01:40.Carmarthen. The scrutiny panel, following its further work, has

:01:41. > :01:45.concluded that it has not been presented with any additional

:01:46. > :01:49.evidence that leads them to question their original support for the

:01:50. > :01:55.health board's proposals to develop a level to neonatal unit at

:01:56. > :01:58.Glangwili. The plans allow for a bedding in period with some

:01:59. > :02:03.obstetricians staying on for a time at Withybush and a hospital in

:02:04. > :02:06.Aberystwyth. But these protesters say they will fight on and have

:02:07. > :02:07.applied for a judicial review of these decisions.

:02:08. > :02:11.The Welsh Conservatives say they want more details from the Liberal

:02:12. > :02:13.Democrats about the action taken by the party after a complaint of

:02:14. > :02:16.inappropriate behaviour was made against one of its assembly members.

:02:17. > :02:19.William Powell, who represents Mid and West Wales, has issued an

:02:20. > :02:24.unreserved apology to a female activist after an incident in 2011,

:02:25. > :02:27.in which he touched her knee. The party says Mr Powell was given a

:02:28. > :02:30.formal written warning last year, but the Conservatives say they want

:02:31. > :02:35.clarification about whether it has satisfied the person who came

:02:36. > :02:39.forward with the allegation. The Welsh Government is supporting a

:02:40. > :02:43.decision by the UK Government to ban electronic cigarettes for under-18s.

:02:44. > :02:46.A new law is also being introduced to give adults who buy cigarettes

:02:47. > :02:50.for children an on-the-spot penalty of ?50. Ministers here say they're

:02:51. > :02:55.currently considering how similar legislation could be introduced in

:02:56. > :02:58.Wales. An experimental treatment that could

:02:59. > :03:01.reverse the spread of breast cancer is being tested by scientists at

:03:02. > :03:05.Cardiff University. Researchers are now moving on to clinical and

:03:06. > :03:09.patient trials. The majority of deaths from cancer are as a result

:03:10. > :03:15.of its spread to organs such as the liver, brain or lungs.

:03:16. > :03:18.Former Wales international Jonathan Davies has told BBC Wales Sam

:03:19. > :03:21.Warburton's decision to sign a central contract with the Welsh

:03:22. > :03:25.Rugby Union has opened up a can of worms. The deal states the Wales

:03:26. > :03:29.captain will be loaned out to his current club, the Cardiff Blues. But

:03:30. > :03:32.the regional teams, who remain locked in a dispute with the WRU,

:03:33. > :03:44.have previously said they would not pick any centrally contracted

:03:45. > :03:47.players. It's good for Welsh rugby for kids to see their stars playing

:03:48. > :03:52.but it opened a can of worms up, really, because the regions have got

:03:53. > :03:58.to be in agreement with the centrally contracted players. So

:03:59. > :03:59.where is he going to play and train? I'm not sure if they've talked about

:04:00. > :04:02.that. Football, and Swansea City will play

:04:03. > :04:08.former manager Roberto Martinez's Everton in the fifth round of the FA

:04:09. > :04:11.Cup. The Swans, who beat Birmingham yesterday, will be away for the

:04:12. > :04:15.match to be played in the middle of next month. Cardiff City's reward

:04:16. > :04:20.for beating Bolton is a home tie against Cup holders Wigan.

:04:21. > :04:26.Georgina Burnett has the weather forecast.

:04:27. > :04:30.We have a cold night ahead of us and the Met Office have got a yellow

:04:31. > :04:34.warning in place for ice for areas away from the coastline until 10am.

:04:35. > :04:38.That's because we have cold air moving into night so we are likely

:04:39. > :04:41.to see a dusting of snow on cars tomorrow that it moves up quite

:04:42. > :04:47.quickly, though blustery showers tomorrow are only likely to fall as

:04:48. > :04:52.snow on higher ground. A windy day, with temperatures only just reaching

:04:53. > :04:56.seven or eight. Unsettled all the way through until Thursday.

:04:57. > :05:06.That's it from us. We'll be back tomorrow from 6:25am. Good night.

:05:07. > :05:12.Good evening. Today we saw a band of rain clearing eastwards. You can

:05:13. > :05:14.pick it up on the satellite picture,
