:00:10. > :00:13.Good evening. The leader of the Welsh

:00:14. > :00:16.Conservatives insists he'll carry on in the job after sacking four

:00:17. > :00:19.Assembly Members from the Shadow Cabinet. But Andrew RT Davies

:00:20. > :00:22.admitted there are internal divisions in the party and that

:00:23. > :00:31.they've existed for years. Daniel Davies has more.

:00:32. > :00:34.There have been misgivings in some quarters about the way Andrew RT

:00:35. > :00:39.Davies handled this affair. But he is not backing down. It is highly

:00:40. > :00:44.regrettable that people are supposedly giving briefings out if

:00:45. > :00:49.that is the case. But all we are seeing his sources and some of them

:00:50. > :00:54.even promoted as senior sources. What I know is a fact is that the 14

:00:55. > :00:56.Welsh Conservative members in the National Assembly are committed to

:00:57. > :01:01.one thing only, and that is improving the lives of the people of

:01:02. > :01:04.Wales. So, within a management board, the group and the party, you

:01:05. > :01:11.have the backing to carry on as leader? Without a shadow of a doubt.

:01:12. > :01:13.In an interview this morning, the Davis admitted anonymous briefings

:01:14. > :01:19.against him have made life awkward since he was elected leader in

:01:20. > :01:29.2011. One of the AM is that Mister Davis sank, -- sacked, said that was

:01:30. > :01:35.what to do so that the party could move on. There are lessons to be

:01:36. > :01:39.learned here. It is obvious this because as a problem. For anyone to

:01:40. > :01:41.say there are no problems in the group at the moment, there clearly

:01:42. > :01:46.are. We have to be upfront about those. They can be dealt with but we

:01:47. > :01:50.have to accept the other year. This row boiled over because of the vote

:01:51. > :02:01.on a highly technical aspect of devolving tax powers, but Andrew RT

:02:02. > :02:05.Davies' admission that there are divisions is a hint that there are

:02:06. > :02:07.deeper divisions to heal. A mother from Cardiff whose

:02:08. > :02:11.7-year-old son died after heart surgery has welcomed an inquiry into

:02:12. > :02:13.his death and others at Bristol Children's Hospital. A coroner ruled

:02:14. > :02:16.Luke Jenkins' death was neither predictable nor preventable but his

:02:17. > :02:19.family says unanswered questions remain. Caroline Evans reports.

:02:20. > :02:24.Luke Jenkins was born with only half of his heart working. But he was

:02:25. > :02:30.expected to recover from his third major heart operation. Instead,

:02:31. > :02:33.after surgery, he developed a severe brain injury. His parents had to

:02:34. > :02:40.take the decision to turn off his life-support. We still have a lot of

:02:41. > :02:44.unanswered questions. The inquest answered some of them but it also

:02:45. > :02:49.created a lot more as well. All they want is the truth and justice for

:02:50. > :02:54.what happened. The medical director of the NHS in England met with

:02:55. > :02:59.families last week. He said this will be an enquiry by the parents

:03:00. > :03:04.but led by Sir Ian Kennedy, who investigated the necessary deaths of

:03:05. > :03:11.dozens of babies in the 1990s. The important thing is that he conducted

:03:12. > :03:14.the original Bristol Royal Infirmary review, he understands the issues

:03:15. > :03:18.and can hit the ground running. The hospital has said it is troubled

:03:19. > :03:22.that the family has continued to have concerns. Their results have

:03:23. > :03:27.been shown to be safe and they have made improvements, which include

:03:28. > :03:31.better communications with payments. Meanwhile, Luke's family would also

:03:32. > :03:35.like to see a new inquest into his death.

:03:36. > :03:38.A man has been left unconscious by an avalanche which swept him and his

:03:39. > :03:42.partner 1,000 feet down Snowdon, burying him in four feet of snow.

:03:43. > :03:45.Rescuers got him off the mountain on a stretcher. The 28-year-old

:03:46. > :03:47.suffered back injuries and was taken to hospital by a helicopter from RAF

:03:48. > :03:50.Valley. ScottishPower say a few hundred

:03:51. > :03:53.homes remain without power after Wednesday's storm. A further 1,000

:03:54. > :03:58.are cut-off as a result of Friday's bad weather. The company says it

:03:59. > :04:00.hopes to restore all supplies by tomorrow.

:04:01. > :04:04.A director from Pembrokeshire will be among some the big names at

:04:05. > :04:08.tonight's BAFTA film awards. Kieran Evans from St Davids has made music

:04:09. > :04:11.videos for the likes of Kylie Minogue. He's been nominated in the

:04:12. > :04:20.Outstanding Debut category for his first feature-length film.

:04:21. > :04:24.The beauty of a film like this is it always surprises you that, you know,

:04:25. > :04:31.you find out other people are getting hold of it and the BAFTA

:04:32. > :04:34.nomination will do and are -- an amazing mate of publicity and reach

:04:35. > :04:38.out to audiences we have not had before.

:04:39. > :04:41.Rugby, and to a remarkable game at the Liberty Stadium where the

:04:42. > :04:44.Ospreys ran in 11 tries to beat Treviso 75-7 in the Pro12. It's

:04:45. > :04:48.their biggest ever win. Elsewhere, Wales forwards Gethin Jenkins and

:04:49. > :04:51.Sam Warburton played a part in the Blues' defeat to Glasgow Warriors by

:04:52. > :04:55.27-20. Swansea City have been knocked out

:04:56. > :04:59.of the FA Cup - they lost 3-1 to Everton in the fifth round. De

:05:00. > :05:01.Guzman equalised for the Swans but Everton scored two more goals to

:05:02. > :05:04.seal the win. A figure skater from Cardiff has

:05:05. > :05:07.made his debut at the Winter Olympics. Lloyd Jones wasn't

:05:08. > :05:11.representing Team GB, though, he was competing for France. He set a new

:05:12. > :05:15.season best as his mother, Dawn, watched from the crowd.

:05:16. > :05:20.The weather now, here's Chris Fawkes.

:05:21. > :05:26.Hope you enjoy the sunshine today. Temperatures were up to 10 Celsius

:05:27. > :05:30.and it was one of the best spells of whether for two months. It won't

:05:31. > :05:34.last however. Cloudy tonight with outbreaks of rain. It will time

:05:35. > :05:41.quite murky as well with some low cloud, missed and hill fog. The rain

:05:42. > :05:46.lingers into Monday. Across the north-east of Wales, probably only

:05:47. > :05:50.in millimetres or two. Some variation in image you will get.

:05:51. > :05:54.Highs of nine Celsius. We're back, later than usual, at

:05:55. > :06:14.11.15pm. From all of us here, have a good evening.

:06:15. > :06:22.Whilst we are talking about wet and windy weather in the week ahead, we

:06:23. > :06:25.will lose the extremes of last week. The first glow of the week will

:06:26. > :06:27.approach overnight.
