:00:00. > :00:18.sorry. We are having problems bringing you that report.

:00:19. > :00:25.Good evening. The parents of six-day-old Eliza Mae who died

:00:26. > :00:31.following an incident in Pontyberem yesterday, have said she will always

:00:32. > :00:34.be in their hearts and thoughts. Sharon John and Patrick Mullane said

:00:35. > :00:38.there are no words to describe how they feel. The family dog has been

:00:39. > :00:53.seized as part of the police investigation. Here's our reporter,

:00:54. > :00:56.Cemlyn Davies. Today her parents said she will always be in the

:00:57. > :01:03.hearts and thoughts and they will cherish the little time they had

:01:04. > :01:17.together. Sharon John and Patrick Mullane said that losing her had

:01:18. > :01:33.cast a shadow over the lies. One of the messages reads Eliza Mae with

:01:34. > :01:38.the angels, rest in peace. Our sympathy goes out to them because it

:01:39. > :01:46.is the real tragedy as far as they are concerned and as far as the

:01:47. > :01:52.community is concerned. The emergency services were called

:01:53. > :02:14.around 8:30am yesterday and is one of the networks sought Sharon John

:02:15. > :02:26.shortly afterwards. -- neighbours saw her shortly afterwards. The

:02:27. > :02:36.family dog, and Alaskan Malamute was seized shortly later. The Dave's

:02:37. > :02:41.issue of the Sun newspaper has been criticised for its headline. Today,

:02:42. > :02:49.the paper said it had no intention of being disrespectful. The Sun

:02:50. > :02:52.newspaper has drastically overstepped the mark in what is

:02:53. > :03:00.decent and tasteful and they have caused offence to decent minded

:03:01. > :03:04.people who read the newspaper. An investigation into what happened

:03:05. > :03:18.here is continuing. Police said that they did not have enough information

:03:19. > :03:22.to determine how Eliza Mae died. The Prime Minister has told Wales Today

:03:23. > :03:25.he's happy to talk to the Welsh Government about any help he can

:03:26. > :03:28.offer to prevent flooding here. David Cameron was speaking on a

:03:29. > :03:32.visit to Pembrokeshire today, where he met people affected by the recent

:03:33. > :03:35.storms and saw some of the damage. While Mr Cameron didn't dismiss the

:03:36. > :03:38.idea of financial help, he pointed out the responsibility for flood

:03:39. > :03:49.defences is devolved. We are still waiting for the waters to receive

:03:50. > :03:56.the -- recede to see what needs to be done but we are always happy to

:03:57. > :04:00.talk about the future. Unemployment in Wales has fallen below the UK

:04:01. > :04:03.average for the first time in almost five years, according to latest

:04:04. > :04:06.figures from the Office for National Statistics. The rate of 7.1% is

:04:07. > :04:10.slightly below the UK average of 7.2%. The number of people out of

:04:11. > :04:13.work in Wales now stands at 105,000, a fall of 12,000, Swansea Council

:04:14. > :04:17.has become the first in Wales to agree a 5% rise in Council Tax. The

:04:18. > :04:20.Welsh Local Government Association says it expects at least four others

:04:21. > :04:25.to increase their Rates by the same amount. The Welsh Government has

:04:26. > :04:31.informally capped any Council Tax rises at 5%. Bridgend and

:04:32. > :04:38.Carmarthenshire Councils have today agreed to raise their rates by

:04:39. > :04:42.nearly 5% as well. A further 700 pupils at a school in

:04:43. > :04:45.Llanelli are to be offered screening for tuberculosis, after two previous

:04:46. > :04:48.testing sessions revealed six pupils and three staff had positive

:04:49. > :04:56.results. None are infectious, but the screening will be carried out as

:04:57. > :04:59.a precaution. The Wales Report - on after this

:05:00. > :05:02.programme - has been given special access to Operation Pallial - the

:05:03. > :05:05.investigation into allegations of historical abuse at care homes in

:05:06. > :05:08.North Wales. The head of the National Crime Agency says he's

:05:09. > :05:12.confident more people will be arrested. So far more that 250

:05:13. > :05:18.alleged victims of abuse have come forward and 37 suspects have been

:05:19. > :05:37.identified. One man has been charged. Roger Pinney reports. BBC

:05:38. > :05:43.were given exclusive access to this report and this update gives at the

:05:44. > :05:51.port of the scale of which the investigation is looking at. We will

:05:52. > :05:55.pursue the truth and we will ensure through the evidence we collect that

:05:56. > :06:05.the Crown Prosecution Service is in the best possible place to make

:06:06. > :06:09.arrests. There are 37 potential suspects in 19 potential suspects

:06:10. > :06:14.have been arrested in so far one man has been charged. Did they tell you

:06:15. > :06:21.why they have taken so long to come forward? Although that have been

:06:22. > :06:27.previous investigations, some people were asked in the 1990s if they were

:06:28. > :06:30.victims of abuse in care homes and they said no but back then they

:06:31. > :06:36.might have had children and might not wanted to have talked about it

:06:37. > :06:40.that now famous: They understand the impact on the level of abuse that

:06:41. > :06:47.had occurred and I think we are much better these days at recognising

:06:48. > :06:51.what we need to do to ensure that we support people where they have

:06:52. > :06:58.suffered abuse and the impact on their lives. Most of the Cairngorms

:06:59. > :07:03.under investigation have closed but some of the buildings are still the

:07:04. > :07:11.and they have been under the spotlight before. There was a year

:07:12. > :07:16.long tribunal of enquiry that this enquiry insists it is different and

:07:17. > :07:22.many of those that have given information to it have never spoken

:07:23. > :07:25.out before. Rugby, and one of Wales' most

:07:26. > :07:28.decorated players, Mike Phillips, has been dropped by Warren Gatland

:07:29. > :07:30.for Friday's Six Nations clash against France. The Wales management

:07:31. > :07:33.were disappointed with his indiscipline in the defeat against

:07:34. > :07:36.Ireland, where he was yellow-carded. He's been replaced by Ospreys

:07:37. > :07:42.scrum-half Rhys Webb who'll start an international match for the first

:07:43. > :07:52.time. We were not happy with his game against Ireland and he got a

:07:53. > :08:04.bit confrontational and got a yellow card and got into an argument with

:08:05. > :08:07.the rest -- with the referee. This is a good opportunity for him to

:08:08. > :08:15.reflect on his game and work on some aspects which need to improve.

:08:16. > :08:23.If you're going to the match on Friday evening it will be chilly

:08:24. > :08:30.with some showers. Rain tonight will clear to showers to tomorrow and for

:08:31. > :08:35.the rest of the night it is a cloudy picture with rain. There will be

:08:36. > :08:40.held fog and the wind will pick up as well, strong to Gill force in the

:08:41. > :08:44.north-west and a mild night for the middle of February. A wet and windy

:08:45. > :08:49.start for tomorrow morning that rain will clear as the morning wears on

:08:50. > :08:55.and it will start to brighten up but there will be showers. A band of

:08:56. > :09:00.rain and strong winds will clear eastwards during the day, followed

:09:01. > :09:04.by brighter skies and sunshine and showers. There will be quite a few

:09:05. > :09:10.showers for Northern England and Scotland with hail and thunder on

:09:11. > :09:16.the mountains. It will be a very mild 13 degrees in London. Tomorrow

:09:17. > :09:20.afternoon in Wales you may stay dry but there will also be a scattering

:09:21. > :09:28.of showers in the wind will ease. Tomorrow night, it will be mainly

:09:29. > :09:35.dry but a few showers will turn up after midnight and inland it will be

:09:36. > :09:40.cold enough for frost. Friday will have sunshine and showers with some

:09:41. > :09:45.heavy showers with possible hail and thunder. On Saturday, it will be dry

:09:46. > :09:51.for a while but damp and increasingly windy by the evening.

:09:52. > :09:52.But Saturday seems the better day of the weekend and turning wet and

:09:53. > :10:04.windy on Sunday. And that is Wales Today. We'll have

:10:05. > :10:06.updates from around 6.25 in the morning. For now, from all of us

:10:07. > :10:13.here, good night.
