0:00:17 > 0:00:19Pembrokeshire broke down in tears as she told an inquest how her

0:00:20 > 0:00:25premature son died at just 5-weeks-old, after being taken off a

0:00:26 > 0:00:28ventilator. Bronwyn Rhodes noticed something was wrong with baby Rohan

0:00:29 > 0:00:32soon after he son was transferred from a hospital in Swansea to see

0:00:33 > 0:00:44specialists in Bristol in 2012. Paul Heaney reports. Row and roads was

0:00:45 > 0:00:49born 14 weeks early in Swansea. -- Rohan Rhodes. He was transferred to

0:00:50 > 0:00:57see experts at St Michael's Hospital in Bristol in September 2012, he had

0:00:58 > 0:01:01heart and lung problems, within hours his parents say he became

0:01:02 > 0:01:10unwell eventually suffering a cardiac arrest. No-one escalated his

0:01:11 > 0:01:13gear when they should have. He was left for many hours with no one

0:01:14 > 0:01:22taking a blood sample to see how he was doing. His mother told the

0:01:23 > 0:01:28inquest today that the staff were aggressive in inserting feeding

0:01:29 > 0:01:36tubes into the child causing him pain. The father thought he had been

0:01:37 > 0:01:47given sedation because his body was lifeless. A pathologist told the

0:01:48 > 0:01:53inquest today that the child had multiple perforations of his bowel

0:01:54 > 0:02:01and the likely reason was an infection. He suffered a great deal

0:02:02 > 0:02:13of pain before he died and that is what we want to make sure that does

0:02:14 > 0:02:17not happen again. The hospital trust says it offers its severe

0:02:18 > 0:02:21condolences to the family for the loss of their son. The enquiry

0:02:22 > 0:02:24continues tomorrow. In the last ten years, councils here have given the

0:02:25 > 0:02:28go-ahead to hundreds of developments, despite being warned

0:02:29 > 0:02:31that they posed a flood risk. Natural Resources Wales, formerly

0:02:32 > 0:02:33the Environment Agency, gives advice to local authorities about planning

0:02:34 > 0:02:37applications including the risk of flooding. Wales Today has learnt

0:02:38 > 0:02:50that between 2004 and last year, councils here ignored that advice

0:02:51 > 0:02:55341 times. I think it is barmy for councillors in any part of Wales to

0:02:56 > 0:03:04refuse to accept the facts when they are presented to them from the

0:03:05 > 0:03:07flooding experts. We have a housing crisis in Wales as we have

0:03:08 > 0:03:14throughout the rest of the UK solar and therefore is essential to

0:03:15 > 0:03:19develop for building. The lack of land means some local authorities

0:03:20 > 0:03:24gets desperate and develop land that is prone to flooding. A man has been

0:03:25 > 0:03:26jailed for life for murdering a carer from Bridgend. 26-year-old

0:03:27 > 0:03:29Jamie Curtis from Ynysawdre was arrested after Kevin Hier from Tondu

0:03:30 > 0:03:33collapsed in October last year. Police said, the killing had left

0:03:34 > 0:03:38the community stunned. Curtis pleaded guilty to murder at Cardiff

0:03:39 > 0:03:40Crown Court. A 13-year-old from Barry was electrocuted as she helped

0:03:41 > 0:03:45her father bring Christmas decorations down from the attic, an

0:03:46 > 0:03:51inquest has heard. Georgia Marshall died at home last November. An

0:03:52 > 0:03:54exposed cable wrapped around a metal step ladder gave her a fatal

0:03:55 > 0:04:00electric shock. A verdict of accidental death was recorded.

0:04:01 > 0:04:03Castles, beaches and dolphins will feature in a new ?4 million

0:04:04 > 0:04:10advertising campaign aimed at boosting tourism in Wales. It

0:04:11 > 0:04:14features music from singer Cerys Matthews and will be launched on St

0:04:15 > 0:04:17David's Day as part of Wales Tourism Week. The TV advert is directed by

0:04:18 > 0:04:25Marc Evans, whose work includes the Welsh detective series, Hinterland.

0:04:26 > 0:04:31People do know about us, they might know about Dylan Thomas, when you

0:04:32 > 0:04:35take the Welsh film to a festival the conversation starts to open up

0:04:36 > 0:04:39and people understand a bit more about who we are. A woman from

0:04:40 > 0:04:41Newport has been awarded more than ?2,000 in compensation from Gwent

0:04:42 > 0:04:44Police for being wrongfully arrested when she wanted help for domestic

0:04:45 > 0:04:48abuse. Kristy Robinson called police when she was being attacked by her

0:04:49 > 0:04:54ex-boyfriend, who punched her and threw a glass of wine over her. But

0:04:55 > 0:04:59she was arrested along with her partner because she smelled of

0:05:00 > 0:05:04alcohol. Gwent Police say the officer who arrested her acted in

0:05:05 > 0:05:07good faith. A former Swansea rugby player has been handed a record

0:05:08 > 0:05:10eight-year ban for possessing and trafficking steroids. Dean

0:05:11 > 0:05:13Colclough, who was a hooker with Swansea RFC was found to be in

0:05:14 > 0:05:18possession and trafficking of anabolic steroids. Colclough played

0:05:19 > 0:05:26for the club 106 times between 1997 and 2008. He's been in charge for

0:05:27 > 0:05:302.5 years, but today Wrexham's player-manager Andy Morrell resigned

0:05:31 > 0:05:33from the club. He led the club to two play-off finishes but they've

0:05:34 > 0:05:37struggled this season. Following their loss to Barnet on the weekend,

0:05:38 > 0:05:47they've dropped to 13th in the conference. Matthew Richards looks

0:05:48 > 0:05:51back at his career. First as a player then as player manager, Andy

0:05:52 > 0:05:59Morell has definitely made his mark in over 200 appearances Wrexham.

0:06:00 > 0:06:08Last year he won the FA Trophy at Wembley. This year they were denied

0:06:09 > 0:06:14a return to the football league. He has thrown in the towel after 2.5

0:06:15 > 0:06:19years. It was a hard announcement for the players to hear ahead of

0:06:20 > 0:06:25training this morning and tough to for his assistant who inherits the

0:06:26 > 0:06:31role for the time being. For everyone to see him how he was and

0:06:32 > 0:06:40for me to see the players how they were, it was hard for me to take.

0:06:41 > 0:06:48With a game at Luton tomorrow it will be a baptism of fire. There

0:06:49 > 0:06:53have been some devastating lows over the last 2.5 years. Andy Morrell

0:06:54 > 0:07:00said he felt he had taken the team as far as he could but nobody has

0:07:01 > 0:07:09doubted his dedication to Wrexham. As a man we have the utmost respect

0:07:10 > 0:07:16for him. As a manager he gets the utmost respect, he has a very good

0:07:17 > 0:07:22CV. He is the orderly Wrexham manager to win more than half of his

0:07:23 > 0:07:26matches. Even if some of the most crucial were just beyond his reach.

0:07:27 > 0:07:30There were four Welshmen in action in the second round of the Wales

0:07:31 > 0:07:32Open Snooker in Newport earlier this evening. Andrew Pagett, Dominic Dale

0:07:33 > 0:07:35and Matthew Stevens came through their matches this afternoon, and

0:07:36 > 0:07:38Michael White joined them after a successful evening session. Let's

0:07:39 > 0:07:43see what the weather has in store, here's Derek Brockway. We enjoyed

0:07:44 > 0:07:49the break from the rain today. Orderly a brief respite. The rain

0:07:50 > 0:07:54has returned again tonight. It is spreading slowly but surely used

0:07:55 > 0:07:59words across the country. For the rest of this evening and tonight the

0:08:00 > 0:08:03rain will continue its journey eastwards. Eventually drying

0:08:04 > 0:08:13overnight. Temperatures staying below freezing. -- staying above

0:08:14 > 0:08:15freezing, no frost tonight. This low pressure will push in tomorrow

0:08:16 > 0:08:21bringing a mixture of some pressure will push in tomorrow

0:08:22 > 0:08:26and squally showers. Not too many showers around first thing tomorrow

0:08:27 > 0:08:34morning. Some of the heavier showers moving in to the West later on with

0:08:35 > 0:08:40dusty winds especially along the costs. Some of the showers will be

0:08:41 > 0:08:49heavy with rain or funder. The best dry weather will be along the coast.

0:08:50 > 0:08:54The top temperature tomorrow will be 12 Celsius in London. In Wales

0:08:55 > 0:09:00tomorrow afternoon there will be a few sharp showers but some dry

0:09:01 > 0:09:05weather as well. A high of 10 Celsius in modern life. Plenty of

0:09:06 > 0:09:11dry weather tomorrow evening, just a few scattered showers. Inland

0:09:12 > 0:09:17temperatures could fall low enough overnight for a ground frost.

0:09:18 > 0:09:22Wednesday will have a mixture of sunshine and showers. Most places

0:09:23 > 0:09:28dry by the end of the afternoon. Turning wet and windy by midnight

0:09:29 > 0:09:33and into Thursday. That rain will be followed again by sunshine and

0:09:34 > 0:09:39showers. A little snow on the mountains and it is a similar story

0:09:40 > 0:09:44on Friday. A mixed bag of weather this week but I can promise some

0:09:45 > 0:09:46sunshine as well. We've got the latest news and sport, traffic

0:09:47 > 0:09:49updates and weather in Breakfast from six tomorrow morning. That's

0:09:50 > 0:09:51Wales Today, thank you for watching, from all of us on the programme,

0:09:52 > 0:09:57goodnight.
