:00:00. > :00:00.Commons has been cleared of rape and other sex charges. Goodbye.

:00:00. > :00:09.Welcome to Wales Today. Tonight's headlines: Former Welsh secretary,

:00:10. > :00:19.Nigel Evans, is found not guilty of sexual offences against young men.

:00:20. > :00:23.All I can say is after the last 11 months, my life will never be the

:00:24. > :00:27.same. Born and raised in Swansea - we look

:00:28. > :00:31.back at his career, and look at what his political future may hold. Also

:00:32. > :00:34.tonight: Breaking news in Pembrokeshire - specialist officers

:00:35. > :00:42.and the fire service have been sent to an incident.

:00:43. > :00:45.We'll have the latest. They may be hitting the right note

:00:46. > :00:50.but major report into our education system finds there's not enough

:00:51. > :00:53.support for teachers. After years of smoking, Margaret

:00:54. > :00:58.Barnard is battling lung cancer. Still the biggest killer of all

:00:59. > :01:02.cancers here. And a love note from Dylan Thomas to

:01:03. > :01:08.his wife Caitlin - a million pound grant helps more of his history go

:01:09. > :01:13.on display. And news coming into us tonight.

:01:14. > :01:18.Peace in our time! It is the end of a two-year long saga. A deal for a

:01:19. > :01:30.new European competition has been signed.

:01:31. > :01:37.Good evening. He says he went through 11 months of hell. Tonight

:01:38. > :01:41.Nigel Evans walked free from court after being cleared of a string of

:01:42. > :01:44.sex abuse charges, including one of rape. The former shadow Welsh

:01:45. > :01:47.Secretary who was born in Swansea had been accused of crimes against

:01:48. > :01:50.seven men, but maintained his innocence throughout. We'll be

:01:51. > :01:54.speaking to our Parliamentary Correspondent in Westminster in a

:01:55. > :02:00.moment. First to Preston Crown Court where our reporter Matthew Richards

:02:01. > :02:07.has been following the case. Thanks. It took the jury less than

:02:08. > :02:10.five hours to reach not guilty verdicts on all nine counts, two of

:02:11. > :02:14.which dated back to Nigel Evans Time as shadow Welsh secretary in 2003.

:02:15. > :02:16.The prosecution tried to paint a picture of a senior politician

:02:17. > :02:20.abusing his position by indecently and sexually assaulting young men

:02:21. > :02:24.mostly in bars over a period of ten years, culminating in the rape of a

:02:25. > :02:31.22-year-old man at Mr Evans' home in Lancashire. But the jury didn't

:02:32. > :02:33.agree and as each of their not guilty verdicts was delivered Nigel

:02:34. > :02:41.Evans became increasingly emotional in the dock. He always denied the

:02:42. > :02:44.charges, saying the incident at his home was consensual and that other

:02:45. > :02:52.alleged victims were making up their claims possibly colluding with each

:02:53. > :02:57.other. He said it simply wasn't in his nature to do this. The relief

:02:58. > :03:04.after what Mr Evans called 11 months of hell was clear to see. He emerged

:03:05. > :03:07.from court alone this afternoon to face the media and paid tribute to

:03:08. > :03:10.the support he's had from friends, family and even strangers from

:03:11. > :03:17.around the world but said now was not a time for celebration.

:03:18. > :03:23.I have got work to do. It is the work that I've done for the last 22

:03:24. > :03:31.years. So this isn't a time for celebration or euphoria. It was said

:03:32. > :03:35.that there are no winners in these cases and that is absolutely right.

:03:36. > :03:39.There are no winners so no celebrations. The fact is I've got

:03:40. > :03:47.work to do, work that I've done for the last 32 years. -- 22 years. All

:03:48. > :03:53.I can say is that after the last 11 months I've gone through, nothing

:03:54. > :04:02.will ever be the same way way back again -- the same again.

:04:03. > :04:06.The CPS and additional police have said they thought it was important

:04:07. > :04:12.to put the charges before a jury but they respected the decision. What

:04:13. > :04:19.does this mean for the future of Nigel Evans, a veteran politician

:04:20. > :04:21.who has remained a popular figure among his colleagues? Our

:04:22. > :04:26.parliamentary correspondent David Cornock is in Westminster.

:04:27. > :04:28.Those verdicts have been widely welcomed at Westminster, from the

:04:29. > :04:32.prime minister downwards. David Cameron said it was hard to imagine

:04:33. > :04:38.the relief that Nigel Evans missed a feeling. There are still plenty of

:04:39. > :04:43.questions over his future but I have been taking a look at his Welsh

:04:44. > :04:52.political groups. Evans and news. Nigel Evans behind

:04:53. > :04:58.the counter at the business set up by his grandfather. It was here he

:04:59. > :05:03.cut his teeth in business and he was taught in universities by a future

:05:04. > :05:06.MP for top he was a diminutive character and I felt he was almost

:05:07. > :05:12.bullied at university. He was not openly gay at the time

:05:13. > :05:17.that he was not the be playing, hard drinking image of a student.

:05:18. > :05:21.If Nigel Evans wanted to be a Conservative MP, there were few

:05:22. > :05:26.opportunities in Wales. The person has been duly elected to

:05:27. > :05:36.serve as member for the said constituency, Kim Scott Howells. He

:05:37. > :05:42.overcame setback to hold a seat since 1982.

:05:43. > :05:53.Nigel Evans was one of the great party animals of the Conservative

:05:54. > :06:02.party, with laughter the bar. Often seen ordering champagne and not

:06:03. > :06:07.really -- and often surrounded by young researchers.

:06:08. > :06:14.Nigel Evans spent two years as the shadow was the. We Conservatives

:06:15. > :06:22.main spokesman at Westminster on Welsh affairs. His career peaked

:06:23. > :06:26.with his selection as deputy speaker. His sexuality had long been

:06:27. > :06:31.an open secret that it was a year after his mother 's death that he

:06:32. > :06:36.decided to come out. At his house he joked about it. It was hard enough

:06:37. > :06:42.being a Tory in Swansea, never mind coming out as a full is top I always

:06:43. > :06:48.thought it was God's little joke, being a Tory and born in Swansea.

:06:49. > :06:55.Tory, gay, Welsh. Come on, give me a break! He got his break as deputy

:06:56. > :06:58.speaker at last year 's arrest put his career on hold.

:06:59. > :07:01.Friends say it should never have come to court.

:07:02. > :07:06.There are serious questions about why this case was bought and why he

:07:07. > :07:09.was perceived in the way he was. We have got to be fair and right and

:07:10. > :07:13.just two accusers that we have got to be fair and right and just to the

:07:14. > :07:17.defendant. Currently sitting as an independent

:07:18. > :07:21.MP, Nigel Evans must have to wait to find out if he will be welcomed back

:07:22. > :07:25.to the party he first joined in Swansea 40 years ago. As an innocent

:07:26. > :07:28.man, Nigel Evans will expect to be readmitted into the Conservative

:07:29. > :07:32.voluntary party. It may not be as straightforward as

:07:33. > :07:38.that. What the Conservatives are saying tonight is that talks will

:07:39. > :07:41.now happen between Nigel Evans and the local party in the Ribble Valley

:07:42. > :07:46.and also with the Parliamentary party here at Westminster. Although

:07:47. > :07:50.the local party has been supportive throughout this trial, there were

:07:51. > :07:55.elements of Nigel Evans is private life that were laid bare, for

:07:56. > :08:00.example his drinking and the revelation a complaint had been made

:08:01. > :08:05.to the government whips that the whips kept quiet about the type

:08:06. > :08:08.which may raise local concerns. One thing is certain, he may be

:08:09. > :08:16.returning as an MP but the job as deputy speaker, those dreams have

:08:17. > :08:20.still gone. A major review of the schools system

:08:21. > :08:23.says the Welsh Government lacks a long-term vision for education and

:08:24. > :08:26.doesn't do enough to support teachers and head teachers. The

:08:27. > :08:28.report, by one of the world's leading economic organisations, the

:08:29. > :08:33.OECD, also says major changes have been forced through too quickly.

:08:34. > :08:40.Here's our Education Correspondent, Arwyn Jones.

:08:41. > :08:45.What we have today is a snapshot. How well do in schools teach our

:08:46. > :08:48.children and how does the Welsh government help our teachers?

:08:49. > :08:53.Following disappointing results in Pisa tests four years ago, sat by

:08:54. > :08:56.half a million pupils across the world, the Welsh government

:08:57. > :09:00.commissioned the OECD to look at other schools. It has now been well

:09:01. > :09:04.over a year since the Welsh government commission that report

:09:05. > :09:10.from the OECD and during that time, they have spoken to teachers and

:09:11. > :09:14.teachers and pupils, trying to find out exactly how our schools operate

:09:15. > :09:17.full of they have now reported back to the Welsh government and the

:09:18. > :09:23.picture now emerging of a school system with room for improvement.

:09:24. > :09:27.Two years ago, a number of new initiatives were introduced by the

:09:28. > :09:30.former education minister. People are now tested every year and

:09:31. > :09:37.schools placed into bands full top there is a new literacy and numeracy

:09:38. > :09:39.framework in an attempt to raise performance. Teaching unions and

:09:40. > :09:44.opposition parties had complained about the lack of time to introduce

:09:45. > :09:53.so many changes all at once and today's report agrees. The pace of

:09:54. > :09:57.form has been too high. Schools, leaders and teachers, the whole

:09:58. > :10:02.system, it takes time to embed a reform and to be able to live on it.

:10:03. > :10:12.The pace of reform has been so high that there could be reformed

:10:13. > :10:14.fatigue. Heads across Wales a different man to have made it

:10:15. > :10:20.difficult to concentrate on teaching. Irfan Naseer I think it

:10:21. > :10:29.has been constant and we are not sure where we are going at times.

:10:30. > :10:37.Irfan Naseer -- It is hard to move at the pace that was government want

:10:38. > :10:41.us to. The report paints a picture of schools unable to report. It says

:10:42. > :10:51.there is a lack of planning to develop strong school leaders and

:10:52. > :10:59.training and career progression policies are underdeveloped. A song

:11:00. > :11:02.of solidarity for this class in Tredegar today that is the Welsh

:11:03. > :11:08.government standing by teachers when it comes to training? It has

:11:09. > :11:13.recently started to fund courses to develop their leadership potential.

:11:14. > :11:17.It has helped me professionally and personally. It has proved my

:11:18. > :11:20.teaching standards and allowed me to grapple the things we need a teacher

:11:21. > :11:26.to develop in the classroom to make outstanding lessons. Personally, it

:11:27. > :11:28.has allowed me to develop as a manager ready for the next career

:11:29. > :11:34.level step. That will be music to the ears of

:11:35. > :11:37.teachers across Wales and the minister says there will be further

:11:38. > :11:39.announcements on supporting teachers before the summer.

:11:40. > :11:44.Arwyn Jones has spoken to the Education Minister Huw Lewis. He put

:11:45. > :11:47.it to him that the OECD report said the Welsh government had left

:11:48. > :11:54.schools behind, by trying to do too much too soon. I think the report is

:11:55. > :12:00.actually more subtle than that in what is telling us. It says there is

:12:01. > :12:06.a risk of change and something we need to guard against. Have the

:12:07. > :12:12.forefront of my mind that every academic year that goes by without

:12:13. > :12:18.us having the highest standards and that the cohort of young people is

:12:19. > :12:21.not getting the best. But the lead author of the report has been

:12:22. > :12:27.telling us that the Welsh government have been pushing ahead to quickly

:12:28. > :12:33.and not taking the profession with them. Will you be taking your foot

:12:34. > :12:37.off the accelerator? This report is very valuable and I welcome the

:12:38. > :12:45.message. We need to digest those messages. It is right that we need

:12:46. > :12:50.to guard against the risk... But he said you are going to quickly and at

:12:51. > :12:56.the moment you are going to quickly. I am putting the report. I am

:12:57. > :13:02.quoting the author. That is something I need to bear in mind and

:13:03. > :13:06.we also need to address the issue around the support and training and

:13:07. > :13:11.professional development of the workforce of teachers. The teaching

:13:12. > :13:15.unions have been saying for a long time there is a lack of clear career

:13:16. > :13:18.progression and continuing development for teachers which is so

:13:19. > :13:23.important to get that leadership right. They say they have been

:13:24. > :13:29.largely ignored. The OECD says pretty much the same thing. I've

:13:30. > :13:36.been saying this for months. With no action. These things take time for

:13:37. > :13:40.this is a convex system and when we take those announcements, we will

:13:41. > :13:46.have everything in place to make it work, including the resources. It is

:13:47. > :13:52.too dependent on an individual school getting it together and

:13:53. > :13:56.pendant on a headteacher to motivate staff. That doesn't that come from

:13:57. > :14:00.you as the education minister? Shouldn't it be the worst government

:14:01. > :14:07.driving these changes, rather than leaving it to headteachers.

:14:08. > :14:10.Headteachers are critical in the system and they need to understand

:14:11. > :14:17.how to shepherd their staff, to leave them in terms of what they

:14:18. > :14:21.need is a school. What I can make children of is that we have a level

:14:22. > :14:27.playing field for all teaching professionals out there in terms of

:14:28. > :14:30.what's available and what we expect their management to deliver for

:14:31. > :14:33.them. To our breaking news and fire crews

:14:34. > :14:41.and specialist officers are at the scene of the incident in the village

:14:42. > :14:45.of Western in Haverfordwest. And ambience was called to a property on

:14:46. > :14:48.the outskirts of the village. Local people say a road out of the village

:14:49. > :14:53.has been closed by police. One source says a large number of police

:14:54. > :14:59.are in the area. Our reporter has just got to be seen and is on the

:15:00. > :15:04.telephone. I am on the outskirts of the police cordon. The road from the

:15:05. > :15:10.village have been shut since about lunch time by Dyfed Powys Police and

:15:11. > :15:19.there is a search at the property of the outskirts of Wiston. A man was

:15:20. > :15:23.found with nonlife threatening injuries this morning and taken to

:15:24. > :15:27.Morriston Hospital. Dyfed Powys Police were subsequently called to

:15:28. > :15:31.this property and they have been working with what they describe as

:15:32. > :15:36.partner agencies investigating this incident. I've been told by a number

:15:37. > :15:40.of local people that on disposal officers are on the scene but Dyfed

:15:41. > :15:45.Powys Police won't confirm that at the moment. Certainly, the search

:15:46. > :15:51.and the investigation is continuing this evening and a number of offices

:15:52. > :15:56.at this property on the outskirts of this rule village five or six miles

:15:57. > :15:59.from Haverfordwest this evening. We will bring you more on this story

:16:00. > :16:02.if we get it. Still to come in tonight's

:16:03. > :16:06.programme: A love note from Dylan Thomas to his wife Caitlin - a

:16:07. > :16:13.million pound grant helps more of his history go on display.

:16:14. > :16:23.Lung cancer continues to kill more people in Wales than any other type

:16:24. > :16:26.of cancer, according to new figures. Almost 1,900 people died of the

:16:27. > :16:30.disease in 2012 and though smoking is one of the biggest causes, income

:16:31. > :16:32.can also play a big role. Jenny Rees reports.

:16:33. > :16:35.She has lost count of how many toys she has knitted for charity but in

:16:36. > :16:38.the last six years, they have helped Margaret and her husband raise

:16:39. > :16:46.nearly ?40,000 for the British Lung foundation. The 70-year-old has

:16:47. > :16:51.chronic obstructive armoury disease but in February, a routine scan

:16:52. > :16:58.showed cancer. Absolutely devastated. It is not a

:16:59. > :17:02.nice thing to be told that you have, especially when it can't be treated.

:17:03. > :17:12.It can't be too, it can only be with. That's what life is so I am

:17:13. > :17:17.living in three-month sound bites, a scan and then off we go.

:17:18. > :17:21.Lung cancer accounts for more than a fifth of cancer deaths and the

:17:22. > :17:26.number of women dying of the illness has risen by over a third over the

:17:27. > :17:30.past case. Smoking accounts for 22% of cancer deaths but your postcode,

:17:31. > :17:36.income and lifestyle could also have a bearing full top We are seeing big

:17:37. > :17:43.differences between the less well-off areas of Wales and the more

:17:44. > :17:46.well off. There is a 20% difference in the rate of cancer between the

:17:47. > :17:53.most deprived and least deprived areas of Wales. 23% of people in

:17:54. > :17:58.Wales smoke. That figure jumped to more than 40% in deprived areas. The

:17:59. > :18:03.most government aims to see that reduced to 16% by 2020. It would be

:18:04. > :18:12.wrong to think all lung cancers are smoking-related. We are seeing more

:18:13. > :18:16.patients diagnosed with the disease who have never smoked. There are

:18:17. > :18:21.courses like environmental pollution, which play an important

:18:22. > :18:24.role as well for top Margaret knows her cancer will not be curate and

:18:25. > :18:30.stays focused on fundraising with their annual abseil for charity but

:18:31. > :18:35.today's report shows that survival rates for cancer are generally

:18:36. > :18:38.improving. Police are investigating the sudden death of a 15-year-old

:18:39. > :18:41.boy in Swansea. Officers were called to an area near Olchfa Comprehensive

:18:42. > :18:45.School in Sketty, at half past nine this morning. The death of the

:18:46. > :18:48.teenager, who was a pupil there, is being treated as unexplained. The

:18:49. > :18:52.school says it's shocked and saddened, and will close tomorrow

:18:53. > :18:56.afternoon as a mark of respect. The family of John McBrien from

:18:57. > :18:59.Holywell in Flintshire who was one of the football fans who died in the

:19:00. > :19:03.Hillsborough disaster has tribute to him. At the new inquests into the

:19:04. > :19:09.deaths his mother said he was charismatic, talented and modest. 96

:19:10. > :19:12.fans died at Sheffield Wednesday's ground during an FA Cup semi final

:19:13. > :19:16.between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest in 1989.

:19:17. > :19:19.A public inquiry's to be held into the application to build a racing

:19:20. > :19:24.circuit on a mountainside above Ebbw Vale. The developers behind The

:19:25. > :19:27.Circuit of Wales is promising it'll create thousands of jobs and bring

:19:28. > :19:30.world-class Moto GP racing to the area. However there's been

:19:31. > :19:38.opposition from environmentalists. The Planning Inspectorate will now

:19:39. > :19:43.hold a four day inquiry in June. Sport now and some big news tonight.

:19:44. > :19:48.Breaking sports news. It has been years in the making but

:19:49. > :19:53.tonight European peace has broken out. The end of a two-year long saga

:19:54. > :19:59.but tonight finally a conclusion in the future of European rugby. Gareth

:20:00. > :20:04.Lewis has lived and breathed this story for months. Tonight a deal.

:20:05. > :20:09.What do we know? It has been years for some people. Exactly as we

:20:10. > :20:14.reported. The Heineken Cup is going to be replaced by the European

:20:15. > :20:19.champions cup. It will be harder for Welsh teams to qualify, we only have

:20:20. > :20:23.one team next season four is top it doesn't say it specifically but the

:20:24. > :20:28.understanding has always been that this will be worth ?1 million extra

:20:29. > :20:33.each season for them. They will be happy with that. There was a

:20:34. > :20:37.translation problem with the Italian version of the document. That has

:20:38. > :20:42.held it up but now they have signed the heads of agreement, the

:20:43. > :20:45.preliminary legal document. The lawyers will go and sign it up and

:20:46. > :20:50.make it proper but this is the new European cup for next. It is an

:20:51. > :20:58.eight year agreement so it means 2022 we can do this all again. It

:20:59. > :21:06.will be an eight year agreement. I need to ask about the TV deal at the

:21:07. > :21:12.centre of this. Where will fans be able to watch it? Sky had the deal

:21:13. > :21:20.for the Heineken Cup and BT signed with England clubs which is a rival

:21:21. > :21:22.tournament. They don't like you to the -- they don't like each other

:21:23. > :21:30.very much but they are being magnetic. It has long been reported

:21:31. > :21:35.they will share broadcasting. For the next season at least, if you

:21:36. > :21:40.have got sky, you will be able to watch the European cup. We still

:21:41. > :21:45.have things to discuss between the regions and the WRU 's Mac yes, they

:21:46. > :21:50.will argue about cash in Wales but the regions will now get their money

:21:51. > :21:51.from ERC, the old tournament, which was withheld because of this

:21:52. > :22:05.difficulty. I am relieved! Wales' number one

:22:06. > :22:08.golfer, Jamie Donaldson is off to a steady start at the US Masters. The

:22:09. > :22:12.38-year-old says he's never been in better shape and arrives in Augusta

:22:13. > :22:23.having been named European Golfer of the month. Fellow Welshman, and 1991

:22:24. > :22:47.winner Ian Woosnam, finished the day four over.

:22:48. > :22:51.20 more on that later. A rarely-seen love letter, written by Dylan Thomas

:22:52. > :22:54.to his wife, will go on display as part of a million pound

:22:55. > :22:57.refurbishment of the Centre in Swansea devoted to his life. The

:22:58. > :23:01.grant will pay for a new exhibition, which will open in time for the

:23:02. > :23:03.centenary of the poet's birth in October.

:23:04. > :23:07.It's a tiny token of affection from the pen of one of our greatest

:23:08. > :23:10.writers. Dylan Thomas used the back of a bank paying-in slip to send the

:23:11. > :23:14.note to his wife, flattering her with his love and apologising for

:23:15. > :23:17.being late posting her some cheques. It's an example of the hundreds of

:23:18. > :23:21.objects kept by the Dylan Thomas Centre which can finally go on show,

:23:22. > :23:24.now that the exhibition's set to expand. It will be redeveloped and

:23:25. > :23:26.we will put more items on display so it will be more interactive with

:23:27. > :23:28.layers of information to suit people of all ages. We will also form a

:23:29. > :23:31.travelling exhibition, to tour libraries in Wales.

:23:32. > :23:34.The Dylan Thomas Centre opened 20 years ago, and it's an important

:23:35. > :23:44.focus for the study of his life, in the city where he was born. It will

:23:45. > :23:49.also pay for a loan for some of his notebooks which include early drafts

:23:50. > :23:54.of his work. This is a great example of an

:23:55. > :24:02.example of where you can take a poet with a international reputation but

:24:03. > :24:06.also in very distinctive of his home nation and somebody whose works are

:24:07. > :24:12.an intrinsic part of our national consciousness. This will be a worthy

:24:13. > :24:20.centre to perpetuate his legacy and display a wide variety of objects.

:24:21. > :24:26.Work will get underway and by October the exhibition will be

:24:27. > :24:32.bigger and brighter. This is a mock-up of his famous boathouse. For

:24:33. > :24:37.his descendants, a chance to increase people 's knowledge of a

:24:38. > :24:39.man many people think they know. What I really hope from the

:24:40. > :24:43.exhibition is that it is going to show lots of different

:24:44. > :24:48.interpretations of my grandfather so people can look round and get a feel

:24:49. > :24:51.for what my grandfather was like from looking at descriptions and

:24:52. > :24:56.hearing about him from different points of view.

:24:57. > :25:02.As Wales and the world celebrate Dylan Thomas's centenary this year,

:25:03. > :25:05.they will now have a venue fit to hold the celebrations for the poets

:25:06. > :25:07.famous birthday. Time for the weather now - Derek's here. A nice

:25:08. > :25:13.few days in store. Keep sunglasses handy. There's more

:25:14. > :25:22.dry weather to come over the next few days. Very little rain expected.

:25:23. > :25:25.Just a few spots and still a bit chilly at night. Sunday the sunniest

:25:26. > :25:27.day of the weekend. This evening a weak cold front will move

:25:28. > :25:32.southeastwards bringing a little rain. Turning lighter and dying out.

:25:33. > :25:36.A dry end to the night with one or two mist and fog patches forming.

:25:37. > :25:40.The lowest temperature three Celsius with ground frost in a few rural

:25:41. > :25:43.areas. Tomorrow's chart shows a ridge of high pressure extending

:25:44. > :25:46.from the Azores across Wales and that means settled weather. So

:25:47. > :25:50.here's the picture for eight in the morning. Nice and dry. A bit misty

:25:51. > :25:53.in places first thing but that will soon disappear. Some patchy cloud

:25:54. > :25:56.and sunshine with just a light breeze. So, the weather in good

:25:57. > :26:01.shape tomorrow. Dry with more sunshine than today. A few cumulus

:26:02. > :26:05.as well with just the odd isolated light shower. The best of the

:26:06. > :26:09.sunshine on many coasts. Temperatures ten to 13C and in the

:26:10. > :26:12.sunshine and light winds it will feel pleasant. On the west coast

:26:13. > :26:18.tomorrow. Dry with plenty of sunshine. 11 Celsius in Aberdovey.

:26:19. > :26:21.Tomorrow night dry. The sky clear for a while so turning chilly with

:26:22. > :26:34.some ground frost but clouding over after midnight. Saturday mostly

:26:35. > :26:38.cloudy. Probably little if any sunshine. More dry weather but a few

:26:39. > :26:41.spots of light rain or drizzle likely in the afternoon and evening,

:26:42. > :26:44.mainly in Snowdonia. The RHS Flower Show starts tomorrow in Cardiff and

:26:45. > :26:48.it's looking dry. Sunday the sunniest day with a high of 13. And

:26:49. > :26:53.fine in Llanelli for the Great Welsh Marathon on Sunday. Sunshine, low

:26:54. > :26:58.humidity and light winds. Sunday the best day of the weekend. Next week,

:26:59. > :27:02.a dry start but the signs it will turn more unsettled by the middle of

:27:03. > :27:09.the week. The wind picking-up and turning colder. A reminder of the

:27:10. > :27:11.main news tonight. After what he described as 11 months of hell,

:27:12. > :27:15.main news tonight. After what he described as a former shadow of the

:27:16. > :27:17.Nigel Evans has walked free from court after being cleared of a

:27:18. > :27:22.string of sexual charges, including one of rape. And fire crews are at

:27:23. > :27:30.the scene of an incident in the village of Wiston in Pembroke show.

:27:31. > :27:35.A man has been airlifted to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

:27:36. > :27:41.Sources have said that a bomb disposal unit was called. More in

:27:42. > :27:42.our bulletins at 8pm and 10:25pm. Thank you for watching and good

:27:43. > :27:47.evening.
