:00:13. > :00:15.Good evening. The former Montgomeryshire MP Lembit Opik has

:00:16. > :00:19.accused the Crown Prosecution Service of being desperate to cobble

:00:20. > :00:23.together a set of charges against the Swansea-born MP Nigel Evans. Mr

:00:24. > :00:27.Opik was called as a prosecution witness in the trial of Nigel Evans,

:00:28. > :00:35.who was cleared of rape and sexual assault last week.

:00:36. > :00:40.The former deputy speaker of the House of Commons has come out

:00:41. > :00:45.fighting after his five-week trial. In a newspaper interview today he

:00:46. > :00:50.says the ?130,000 legal bill to clear his name has cost him his life

:00:51. > :00:54.savings. He says if someone is dragged through the courts through

:00:55. > :00:58.no fault of their own antiquated they should get their legal fees

:00:59. > :01:04.back from the CPS budget. He says he feels cheated by the fact that if

:01:05. > :01:09.his accusers walked down the street none of them would be recognised but

:01:10. > :01:14.he would be. It called for the same kind of anonymity during the trial

:01:15. > :01:21.accused -- for those accused of carrying out such attacks. Lempit

:01:22. > :01:25.Opik told Sunday Politics Wales that he was amazed the case went to

:01:26. > :01:32.court. It isn't a level playing field. Whilst it might be

:01:33. > :01:36.distressing for the media, it might be right not to reveal the identity

:01:37. > :01:45.of a defendant in the same way a plaintiff is secured anonymity. The

:01:46. > :01:54.CPS defended the procedure saying the rules apply for whoever it is.

:01:55. > :01:58.He is a good parliamentarian and understands Parliament. Parliament

:01:59. > :02:03.would be richer for him continuing to work there. With the trial behind

:02:04. > :02:08.him, Mr Evans says he is planning to stay on as an MP and to fight the

:02:09. > :02:12.seat at the next general election. South Wales Fire and Rescue Service

:02:13. > :02:15.have been dealing with a number of deliberately started grass fires

:02:16. > :02:19.this weekend. This one in Treherbert was one of the largest. The fires

:02:20. > :02:22.have damaged a total of 15 hectares of countryside today that's around

:02:23. > :02:24.the same size as 30 football pitches.

:02:25. > :02:28.Part of the beach in Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan was cordoned off

:02:29. > :02:31.after around 150 tonnes of rock came away from a cliff face. No one was

:02:32. > :02:40.injured. The Fire Service says recent rain that had made parts of

:02:41. > :02:44.the cliff unstable. Penarth seafront its peer and beach

:02:45. > :02:49.were packed with families enjoying the sunshine when loud rumbling made

:02:50. > :02:52.people turn and face the cliffs. One lady was with her children on her

:02:53. > :02:59.beach and filmed the first few moments of the rock fall. I grabbed

:03:00. > :03:04.the kids and ran. Emergency services quickly sealed off part of the

:03:05. > :03:07.beach. Around 150 tonnes of rock came crashing down this cliff face

:03:08. > :03:15.onto the beach but no one was injured. The rock face is beginning

:03:16. > :03:20.to dry out so we are asking people to say about a cliff hike in

:03:21. > :03:26.distance away from the cliffs. When walking along the top, stay inside

:03:27. > :03:31.to that distance as well. Those fishing on the pier saw the drama

:03:32. > :03:36.unfolding. One hell of a noise. Quite frightening. It was

:03:37. > :03:49.spectacular but I feel sorry for the people on top. South Wales Fire and

:03:50. > :03:52.rescue says part of the path and some clifftop gardens eroded and

:03:53. > :03:55.they have been liaising with residents and the local authority to

:03:56. > :03:57.make sure there is no further danger.

:03:58. > :04:01.Swansea City's game at home to Chelsea is featured on Match of the

:04:02. > :04:04.Day Two in a few minutes so if you don't want to know what happened

:04:05. > :04:07.it's time to do something else... The Swans remain just three points

:04:08. > :04:11.clear of the Premier League relegation zone after losing 1-0.

:04:12. > :04:14.Demba Ba with the only goal. Swansea defender Chico Flores was sent off

:04:15. > :04:16.early in the match. A check on the weather now. Here's

:04:17. > :04:31.Rhian Haf. Hello. Most of us have enjoyed a

:04:32. > :04:39.lovely Dale. -- a lovely day. In rural areas there will be a touch of

:04:40. > :04:42.rest. -- frost. A fine day tomorrow with a lot of sunshine. The winds

:04:43. > :04:49.will be lighter so it will be a bit warmer. In the next few days, high

:04:50. > :04:52.pressure builds and it will stay settled, dry and bright. Cold by

:04:53. > :04:54.night but warmed by day. That's Wales Today. We're back in

:04:55. > :05:10.Breakfast from 6.25. Goodnight. Good evening. It was a lovely day

:05:11. > :05:15.across many parts of the UK. 17 in the London area withshine but it was

:05:16. > :05:16.a different story in Scotland. It was wet and
