:00:00. > :00:11.the evening on the BBC News Channel. We are back

:00:12. > :00:16.Good evening. Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan has told BBC Wales he's

:00:17. > :00:19.willing to reconsider his decision to change the club's colours from

:00:20. > :00:22.blue to red but only if they return to the Premier League. In an

:00:23. > :00:26.exclusive interview, the Malaysian businessman also said he has no

:00:27. > :00:29.plans to walk away from the club. Today, the Bluebirds bowed out of

:00:30. > :00:35.the Premier League with a home defeat to Chelsea. Natasha

:00:36. > :00:39.Livingstone reports. There was one team playing in blue

:00:40. > :00:43.at the Cardiff City Stadium today and one set of fans wishing it was

:00:44. > :00:47.theirs. Cardiff took on Chelsea in their final game in the top flight,

:00:48. > :00:51.with supporters once again showing their determination to bring back

:00:52. > :00:55.the Bluebirds. But owner Vincent Tan says he's determined to bring the

:00:56. > :00:58.club back to the Premier League. If that happens, he's told BBC Wales

:00:59. > :01:02.the club's colour could be reconsidered.

:01:03. > :01:06.I would like to focus on getting the club back to the Premier League and

:01:07. > :01:10.after that I will definitely agree to sit down and find a solution to

:01:11. > :01:20.this- maybe we can have a compromise.

:01:21. > :01:24.I don't believe him. I think it's a ploy to keep us quiet.

:01:25. > :01:28.Well, they should do it now for the championship. They shouldn't do it

:01:29. > :01:32.for the premiership. It's blackmail, in my opinion.

:01:33. > :01:34."If the man is putting the money in, I think he calls the shots to a

:01:35. > :01:38.certain degree. Anything he can do to apease the

:01:39. > :01:42.fans regarding the red and blue situation, I think is a good thing.

:01:43. > :01:46.He's just playing games. At the end of the day we want to be blue.

:01:47. > :01:49.The fans might not be convinced yet but Tan says he's wants to unite

:01:50. > :01:52.with them, offering to have a supporter join the board of

:01:53. > :01:56.directors. He's also considering turning a third of the ?150 million

:01:57. > :02:00.owed to him by the club into equity. I will not quit while we are in this

:02:01. > :02:03.situation. I am not a quitter, nor a loser. A quitter never wins, a

:02:04. > :02:07.winner never quits. It's good to see that Vincent Tan is

:02:08. > :02:11.committed to the future of club but actually getting back to the Premier

:02:12. > :02:14.League iS going to be very difficult. I think five clubs have

:02:15. > :02:18.bounced back up straightaway in the last nine seasons. I think we need

:02:19. > :02:21.to stabilise on and off the pitch, unite the fans and engage with them

:02:22. > :02:25.and ensure this club goes straight back up to the Premier League.

:02:26. > :02:29.A goal shared by both the supporters and Vincent Tan. They'll also be

:02:30. > :02:31.hoping for an end to the drama surrounding the mid-season sacking

:02:32. > :02:34.of Malky Mackay. Earlier this week the former manager halted his legal

:02:35. > :02:39.action and apologised over the issues that led to his dismissal.

:02:40. > :02:42.I'm pleased with the result and I'm also pleased that he has publicly

:02:43. > :02:48.apologised. I said before, one day some people will apologise to me for

:02:49. > :02:52.what they have done. Some people made me out like the villain. I'm

:02:53. > :03:01.supposed to be the Bond villain, but actually I'm James Bond.

:03:02. > :03:04.As Cardiff's time at the top came to an end today fans showed their

:03:05. > :03:09.support for the players. Vincent Tan hopes that support will be given to

:03:10. > :03:12.him in the future. The rest of the day's news now and a

:03:13. > :03:16.murder investigation has been launched after a 46-year-old man who

:03:17. > :03:19.was rescued from a fire near Pontypridd died in hospital.

:03:20. > :03:23.Emergency crews were called to the flat in Ynysybwl on Friday night. A

:03:24. > :03:29.28-year-old woman, who was also rescued, is being questioned on

:03:30. > :03:33.suspicion of arson and murder. Two people have died following a

:03:34. > :03:36.crash on the A40 in Pembrokeshire. It happened just outside

:03:37. > :03:40.Haverfordwest yesterday afternoon. Police are appealing for witnesses.

:03:41. > :03:44.Campaigners gathered in Cardiff this lunchtime as part of global efforts

:03:45. > :03:47.to try and ensure the safe return of more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped

:03:48. > :03:52.in Nigeria. Around 50 people took part in the rally, which was part of

:03:53. > :03:56.the Bring Back Our Girls campaign. Back to football now and as you've

:03:57. > :04:00.heard, Cardiff City ended their time in the top flight with a 2-1 defeat

:04:01. > :04:04.to Chelsea. The Bluebirds held the lead until the 72nd minute, when the

:04:05. > :04:13.visitors scored two quick goals. Swansea City ended their season on a

:04:14. > :04:15.high though. They won 3-1 at Sunderland, finishing in 12th place

:04:16. > :04:19.in the Premiership table. Cricket and Glamorgan were all out

:04:20. > :04:21.for 224 on the first day of their County Championship Division two

:04:22. > :04:24.match against Hampshire. At the close of play, the home side were

:04:25. > :04:28.119 for one. A look at the weather forecast for

:04:29. > :04:40.the next few days now - here's Sue Charles. After a wet, windy weekend,

:04:41. > :04:47.a lot more spring like this week with sunny spells and showers.

:04:48. > :04:52.Tonight a mix of clear spells and scattered showers with winds

:04:53. > :04:58.easing, not particularly cold. Tomorrow, another day of sunny

:04:59. > :05:03.spells and showers, variable cloud. A few of those showers could be

:05:04. > :05:08.heavy but hit and miss so many avoiding them. Breezy but less windy

:05:09. > :05:13.than the weekend and top temperatures of 13 Celsius in

:05:14. > :05:18.Wrexham and Cardiff. Similar sunshine on Tuesday. Less frequent

:05:19. > :05:21.but a fresh breeze. High pressure build through the middle of the week

:05:22. > :05:25.with the thing is turning more settled. From Wednesday, generally

:05:26. > :05:29.drier and warmer. A quick look ahead to tomorrow, when

:05:30. > :05:32.we'll be taking you to the European Parliament in Strasbourg. MEPs

:05:33. > :05:35.travel there twelve times a year to discuss laws that affect all the 28

:05:36. > :05:39.member states. As the European elections approach, we'll be finding

:05:40. > :05:41.out what our MEPs do all day, how it all works and asking how relevant it

:05:42. > :05:47.is to Wales. That's Wales Today. I'll be back

:05:48. > :05:51.just after 10.15pm. Hope you can join me then. For now, though, from

:05:52. > :06:06.everyone on the weekend team, have a good evening. Goodbye.

:06:07. > :06:11.Good evening. We have still got some very heavy showers out there. For

:06:12. > :06:12.ors we
