:00:21. > :00:30.Good evening. A teenaged boy from Bridgend has fallen out of a moving

:00:31. > :00:33.coach on a road near Bristol. The Ambulance Service said the

:00:34. > :00:38.13-year-old boy has a significant head injury and has been taken to

:00:39. > :00:45.Bristol Children's Hospital. From what we've been told the 13-year-old

:00:46. > :00:53.boy is a member of Tondu rugby club's under 13 team. This happened

:00:54. > :00:58.on the Avonmouth junction of the A 49. We understand he fell from the

:00:59. > :01:03.emergency door of the bus. One person told us that the car

:01:04. > :01:07.travelling behind the bus stopped inches behind where the boy fell. He

:01:08. > :01:12.was taken to Bristol Children's Hospital. He's suffered a

:01:13. > :01:17.significant head injury, not thought to be life threatening. The coach

:01:18. > :01:24.they were travelling on is from Keith Jones Coaches, based in

:01:25. > :01:28.Bridgend. He says he is distraught by what's happened. Police are

:01:29. > :01:31.trying to establish exactly what did happen tonight. Belle have more on

:01:32. > :01:35.this over the weekend. A driver has been given points on

:01:36. > :01:41.his licence and a fine after a crash which injured five children, a

:01:42. > :01:48.school lollipop lady and two other women. Judge said the court could

:01:49. > :01:51.only look at the offence and not the consequences of the driver's

:01:52. > :01:55.actions. A momentary lapse of concentration,

:01:56. > :02:05.the consequences, said the judge today, were tragic. It was last June

:02:06. > :02:09.when the car crashed outside Rhoose primary school injuring five

:02:10. > :02:14.children and three women. Some of those injured are still receiving

:02:15. > :02:18.treatment. Today 62-year-old Robert Bell was found guilty of driving

:02:19. > :02:22.without due care and attention. Afterwards he told me he wanted to

:02:23. > :02:27.apologise to all those injured and their families. He said he hoped and

:02:28. > :02:31.prayed that they would make full recoveries. He didn't think he could

:02:32. > :02:39.say all of that to camera. In the event he did manage a few words. I

:02:40. > :02:44.would like to offer my condolences to all the families involved.

:02:45. > :02:50.There's nothing more I can add. During a three-day trial his defence

:02:51. > :02:54.lawyer argued that Mr Bell had a medical condition which caused him

:02:55. > :02:59.to black out as the car hit the bollards and flipped over. But the

:03:00. > :03:02.prosecution argued that his flip-flops may have caused the

:03:03. > :03:07.accident. They were found in the foot well of the car afterwards.

:03:08. > :03:12.District Judge decided over wise and saying put simply he had a coughing

:03:13. > :03:17.fit and he made a misjudgment. Sentencing him, judge said this is a

:03:18. > :03:23.tragic case, mosh so for the injured than for you. But I do not think for

:03:24. > :03:29.a moment that I am dealing with a man driving like a lunatic. Turn

:03:30. > :03:34.coughing and things went awry. Your footwear had nothing to do with it,

:03:35. > :03:38.however unwise. The tragedy of the extent of the injuries you were

:03:39. > :03:43.going to have to live with and I am satisfied you were a man who finds

:03:44. > :03:49.that a burden. He was given four points on his licence and ordered to

:03:50. > :03:53.pay ?1,250 at the rate of ?10 a week.

:03:54. > :03:56.A Welsh University says it is surprised to hear that a former

:03:57. > :04:02.student has been arrested in connection with one of the did

:04:03. > :04:06.deadliest as to crafts in Nigeria. Sadiq Ogwuche studied at the

:04:07. > :04:13.University University of Glamorgan in 2010. He was arrested in Sudan on

:04:14. > :04:19.Tuesday. In connection with a bombing which

:04:20. > :04:25.killed 70 people. A fruit juice company has been find

:04:26. > :04:31.?80,000 with ?75,000 costs after an engineer was killed by falling pipe

:04:32. > :04:36.work. 25-year-old Gavin Bedford, from Porthcawl, was killed in 2010

:04:37. > :04:43.while working on the decommissioning of a factory in Llantrisant. He died

:04:44. > :04:46.from head injuries. Gerber Juice Company Limited pleaded guilty to

:04:47. > :04:50.safety failings. The Welsh Government has launched

:04:51. > :04:54.what it calls a fundamental review of how our schools worked and it is

:04:55. > :04:59.asking parents, teachers and pupils to share their views. It comes as

:05:00. > :05:06.Wales has fallen down the Pisa rankings, the international

:05:07. > :05:11.education league tables. Lost photos of a soldier who

:05:12. > :05:17.inspired two poets in World War I have been uncovered by his old

:05:18. > :05:22.school in Brecon. David Court Bert Thomas fought alongside Siegfried

:05:23. > :05:25.Sasoon and Robert Graves. His death affected them so much they

:05:26. > :05:30.immortalised him in their work. Staring out from the pages of

:05:31. > :05:35.history, a young schoolboy who went on to have an unexpected but

:05:36. > :05:42.profound literary connection. This is David cut berth Thomas, a pupil

:05:43. > :05:48.at Christ Clennell in Brecon in 1914. Staff have unearthed a

:05:49. > :05:55.collection of photographs. These images of DC Thomas were among them.

:05:56. > :06:00.He en-- he enlisted in the Army and met one of the greatest war poets,

:06:01. > :06:05.Siegfried SAS soon. The Welch Fusiliers all signed up to the royal

:06:06. > :06:11.well. . It was because of that that Sasoon and Thomas met in training.

:06:12. > :06:17.DC Thomas was killed bay sniper's bullet in 1916 in no-man's-land.

:06:18. > :06:21.Sasoon was so moved by his death he wrote these lines. So, Tommy left

:06:22. > :06:25.us, a gentle soldier, perfect and without stain, and so he will remain

:06:26. > :06:30.in my heart, fresh and happy and brave.

:06:31. > :06:34.98 years after his death and DC Thomas is still remembered by his

:06:35. > :06:40.old school. Today you will find his name inscribed on the roll of honour

:06:41. > :06:46.in the chapel. A fighting alongside Thomas and Sasoon was poet and

:06:47. > :06:53.November Novemberist Robert Graves. In his celebrated war novel Goodbye

:06:54. > :07:00.To All That he wrote I felt David's death more than any other. I felt

:07:01. > :07:06.empty and lost. The link between them and their friends, and they

:07:07. > :07:11.wrote after his death and during his life, it is utterly touching. These

:07:12. > :07:15.old photographs of DC Thomas once thought lost reveal a young man with

:07:16. > :07:21.a passion for sport, who left school and made the ultimate sacrifice. But

:07:22. > :07:26.his name will live on, immortalised in poetry and prose.

:07:27. > :07:33.Cricket, and Glamorgan's 2020 campaign got under way tonight with

:07:34. > :07:38.a win away to Hampshire. Glamorgan scored 161-7, winning by ten runs.

:07:39. > :07:46.Nathan cleverly is preparing to begin a new era a at a new weight.

:07:47. > :07:49.He has put on almost two stone for his cruiserweight debut tomorrow

:07:50. > :07:55.night against his opponent from Guyana. He lost his light

:07:56. > :07:59.heavyweight title nine months ago. So it looks like we are in for a

:08:00. > :08:05.sunny weekend and I think we need to make the most of us. We do. We had

:08:06. > :08:11.nice weather today across Wales. Most of us seeing sunshine, but warm

:08:12. > :08:14.sunshine over the next few days. Remaining dry across Wales, but the

:08:15. > :08:19.breeze will pick up. We are talking the usual places along the coast

:08:20. > :08:23.mainly. But tonight across much of the country, it is dry. Lift be

:08:24. > :08:27.clear as well at times. High cloud will come and go overnight but that

:08:28. > :08:33.won't affect the temperatures all that much. The temperatures tonight

:08:34. > :08:37.could remain as high as 12 Celsius in Cardiff or Newport. Light winds

:08:38. > :08:42.but that will change. Tomorrow morning most of us see some blue

:08:43. > :08:45.skies. And then wall to wall sunshine for some of us. Not

:08:46. > :08:52.everyone though. The cloud will come and go throughout the day. Cloud in

:08:53. > :08:56.the afternoon in particular. Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland,

:08:57. > :09:00.western Scotland, Northern Isles as well, strong winds and rain. Wales,

:09:01. > :09:04.the Midlands much of the south remaining clear. Cloudier in the

:09:05. > :09:08.south-east. We'll see the highest temperatures here, 24 possibly in

:09:09. > :09:13.London. Another warm one tomorrow. Back here in Wales, it will cloud

:09:14. > :09:17.over in the afternoon. The temperatures tomorrow reaching 20 or

:09:18. > :09:22.21 Celsius. Kite beat today's top temperature of 22 Celsius in

:09:23. > :09:27.Cardiff. The winds pick up tomorrow. Coastal parts, the Lleyn Peninsula,

:09:28. > :09:31.seeing stronger winds. That weather front will close towards Wales in

:09:32. > :09:36.the next few days. Temperatures tomorrow night falling to 9 Celsius.

:09:37. > :09:40.If we look at the pressure chart, low pressure is introducing this

:09:41. > :09:44.weather front towards Wales Sunday into Monday. But I think tomorrow

:09:45. > :09:49.and Sunday the best part of both days will remain dry. Bright, plenty

:09:50. > :09:55.of sunshine and a change on Monday. That is Wales Today. We'll be back

:09:56. > :09:58.at five to Senator evening. From all of us goodnight, have a good

:09:59. > :10:01.weekend. Bye-bye.
