:02:27. > :02:31.Wales. It is not working, especially in

:02:32. > :02:34.Wales. The biggest part of it is building resiliency within the

:02:35. > :02:36.community so that when youngsters are indoctrinated with messages that

:02:37. > :02:38.will take them down a particular pathway, they are able to

:02:39. > :02:42.will take them down a particular pathway, they are able push back.

:02:43. > :02:46.That is not being done. South Wales Police, one of the

:05:59. > :06:00.Almost 50,000 people in Wales are diagnosed with dementia.

:06:01. > :06:03.But many patients here are left without support once

:06:04. > :06:06.The Alzheimer's Society in Wales says services designed to help

:06:07. > :06:18.Not being able to do the simple things like kicking the dog for a

:06:19. > :06:21.walk is what worried Joyce Baker six years ago.

:06:22. > :06:28.She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, one of 45,000 people living

:06:29. > :06:32.with dementia in Wales. Given the facts about the disease under the

:06:33. > :06:34.right support, she now refuses to let an incurable illness get her

:06:35. > :06:38.down. The brain has not forgotten

:06:39. > :06:42.everything, it is because it has a shock because it has got

:06:43. > :06:46.Alzheimer's. I have a great life, I do come and I am very lucky for the

:06:47. > :06:52.people that are with me. We have lots of pictures of family.

:06:53. > :06:58.Ruth Tucker from Pontypool watched her father died of Alzheimer's last

:06:59. > :07:03.year and also didn't know how to help them. Her mother, Daisy, now

:07:04. > :07:08.has it, too. She says information on what to expect was not given to her

:07:09. > :07:12.or her family. You need to have these signposts so

:07:13. > :07:17.that the family or the carers or whoever is looking after the person

:07:18. > :07:21.knows what could be looking out for. The Alzheimer's Society in Wales

:07:22. > :07:26.says information packs for patients, which have been introduced in recent

:07:27. > :07:29.years, have improved things, but they help still varies widely. It is

:07:30. > :07:34.now calling for each person diagnosed with the illness to have

:07:35. > :07:37.their own named individual to help them through a complicated system.

:07:38. > :07:41.It is a frightening diagnosis and if people feel there is nothing that

:07:42. > :07:45.can be offered to them in camps of care and support that makes it even

:07:46. > :07:52.more frightening. -- in terms of care.

:07:53. > :07:57.?130 million has been invested in mental health facilities across

:07:58. > :08:01.Wales. They will also be a focus on what people are still able to do

:08:02. > :08:02.with a little help, leaving them and their families with a brighter

:08:03. > :08:05.future. Football and Marvin Emnes has

:08:06. > :08:07.completed a permanent switch Dutchman has already had two

:08:08. > :08:10.successful loan spells with Let's get the forecast Thailand more

:08:11. > :08:27.mixed weather on the way? Is, clouding over overnight most

:08:28. > :08:32.certainly and tomorrow patchy rain will be making its way across the

:08:33. > :08:37.country, as well. You can see it gradually getting darker to the east

:08:38. > :08:42.under cloud cover, and to the north of some patchy rain. This will move

:08:43. > :08:46.east tomorrow. Overnight lows, 14-16?C, again quite muddy tonight.

:08:47. > :08:51.The weather front tomorrow moves lethargically across to the east,

:08:52. > :08:54.breaking up as it does so. If we look at the rest of the UK it is

:08:55. > :08:58.part of a cold front, low pressure to the north, winds moving

:08:59. > :09:03.anticlockwise around that system, quite blustery at times, as well,

:09:04. > :09:06.especially along the coast. It could be quite warm in the south-east

:09:07. > :09:12.corner of the UK. They could see the warmest day of the year so far,

:09:13. > :09:17.maybe 27 Celsius. Back to Wales and the patchy rain makes its way east

:09:18. > :09:22.tomorrow, temperatures reaching 21 Celsius, so quite warm, really, many

:09:23. > :09:26.sunny spells. Blustery conditions along the coast. Tomorrow night,

:09:27. > :09:31.again, the same story - patchy rain making its way across to the east,

:09:32. > :09:39.heavy downpours. Overnight lows, 13-16 Celsius. On the outlook, it is

:09:40. > :09:42.looking fairly mixed. Some rain on Friday, Saturday and Sunday some

:09:43. > :09:45.patchy rain and showers, with some sunny spells, but hopefully we will

:09:46. > :09:51.see more in the way of high-pressure, so we will see some

:09:52. > :09:56.blue skies overhead. That is Wales today, more on our top

:09:57. > :09:58.story with Tim Rogers next on Week In Week Out. From all of us here,

:09:59. > :09:59.good night.
