:00:23. > :00:28.Bellway Paving, just one of the names they operated under, was

:00:29. > :00:32.first featured on BBC Wales' X-Ray programme nearly two years ago.

:00:33. > :00:34.Rachel Treadaway Williams was in court.

:00:35. > :00:38.This is Tom Connors, the man in charge of Bellway Paving.

:00:39. > :00:44.He arrived at court giving a thumbs up but knowing that he faced jail.

:00:45. > :00:46.The judge at Newport Crown Court heard how

:00:47. > :00:51.his businesses, operating under a variety of names, had scammed 14

:00:52. > :01:05.In total they lost around ?67,000 for grossly overpriced, substandard

:01:06. > :01:10.and often completely unnecessary home and driveway repairs.

:01:11. > :01:14.This victim has asked us to protect his identity.

:01:15. > :01:18.Bellway Paving conned him out of ?12,000 for a shoddy drive

:01:19. > :01:24.Then they tried to rip him off again using a different name

:01:25. > :01:29.and offering to put right the job they had done the first time.

:01:30. > :01:35.People like that are the lowest of the low as far as I am concerned.

:01:36. > :01:43.Last May, Operation Cosgrove, a joint operation between police

:01:44. > :01:47.and scam busters began raiding addresses around Cardiff.

:01:48. > :01:51.It was the biggest operation of its kind in Wales.

:01:52. > :01:56.Top of the list of people they wanted to speak to was Tom Connors.

:01:57. > :02:04.Connors along with Richard McCarthy, Ben Jones and Keith Palmer all

:02:05. > :02:12.Connors was jailed for 38 months. McCarthy got 25 months.

:02:13. > :02:16.Jones and Palmer received suspended jail sentences

:02:17. > :02:21.They physically pushed people around.

:02:22. > :02:24.Their mere presence brought an air of intimidation to those

:02:25. > :02:29.householders and they felt they had no choice but to pay.

:02:30. > :02:34.Judge Tom Crowther QC said these men had shown an utter lack of humanity

:02:35. > :02:38.and seen their victims for how much they could take from them.

:02:39. > :02:42.In one case they had been pitiless to the point of vicious and simply

:02:43. > :02:53.Wales' largest health board still has more work to do

:02:54. > :02:57.until it's fully fit for purpose, according to a report out today.

:02:58. > :03:01.The study of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board was carried

:03:02. > :03:04.out by Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and the Wales Audit Office.

:03:05. > :03:07.It follows a highly critical report last year,

:03:08. > :03:10.which led to the former chairman and vice chair stepping down.

:03:11. > :03:14.The health board says it recognises there's more to do.

:03:15. > :03:18.North Wales Police officers will travel to Crete to join the search

:03:19. > :03:22.for Arthur Jones, who's been missing on the island for two weeks.

:03:23. > :03:25.They'll be joined by a member of the North Wales Mountain Rescue team.

:03:26. > :03:29.The 73-year-old is said to be a keen walker and hasn't been seen since

:03:30. > :03:35.A Pembrokeshire MP has accused health bosses in West Wales

:03:36. > :03:38.of relying on charities because there aren't enough GPs.

:03:39. > :03:42.Simon Hart was sent a letter from Hywel Dda Health Board saying

:03:43. > :03:46.the British Red Cross and the RNLI was helping to provide cover over

:03:47. > :03:51.They say this is part of an additional service.

:03:52. > :03:57.8.30am and there's a queue to see the doctor in Tenby.

:03:58. > :04:08.The queues in the morning are quite long - up

:04:09. > :04:13.I?ve just been standing outside here since 7.30am and I got in through

:04:14. > :04:17.the door two minutes ago and I've been told I can't see the doctor

:04:18. > :04:19.till 10.30am. Sent away for a cup of tea, basically.

:04:20. > :04:23.Patients across Wales are complaining about the difficulty

:04:24. > :04:28.GPs across the whole of Wales are experiencing considerable pressure

:04:29. > :04:30.their appointments systems, with the increasing complexity

:04:31. > :04:33.of the care that we provide, the demand for appointments,

:04:34. > :04:36.we deal with over 19 million consultation every year at least.

:04:37. > :04:38.And also the fact that we have a problem with recruitment and

:04:39. > :04:42.retention of GPs means that there are less GPs to see patients and the

:04:43. > :04:45.ones that are there are struggling to cope with the demand, and

:04:46. > :04:47.certainly I think the situation is only going to get worse.

:04:48. > :04:49.Hywel Dda Health Board says the situation here

:04:50. > :04:52.in Tenby has been caused by the resignation of four GPs which

:04:53. > :04:57.But it's been their response to questions about how they're going

:04:58. > :05:00.to handle the busy tourist season that has angered the local MP.

:05:01. > :05:02.The health board say they've commissioned additional services

:05:03. > :05:04.from the charitable sector, including the British Red Cross

:05:05. > :05:09.and the RNLI, to support Tenby over the summer months.

:05:10. > :05:12.Lifeguards team up with the Ambulance Service to deal with

:05:13. > :05:17.999 calls and can even administer some drugs.

:05:18. > :05:20.The lifeguards are here seven days a week, ten until six.

:05:21. > :05:23.They've got all the kit, they're trained, they're more than

:05:24. > :05:26.happy to come and help with anything, so it's just a great

:05:27. > :05:33.Partnership working is not new, but there are fears it could be used

:05:34. > :05:42.The RNLI have got a busy summer ahead of them.

:05:43. > :05:45.They've got lots of things that they've got to do.

:05:46. > :05:48.They're a charity and people pay their taxes to get a good

:05:49. > :05:52.Campaigners argue that uncertainty over the future of

:05:53. > :05:54.Withybush Hospital is undermining attempts to recruit medical staff
