:00:17. > :00:18.A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

:00:19. > :00:22.after two men were stabbed in Blackwood late last night.

:00:23. > :00:25.The incident happened on Bryn Road and Apollo Way in the town.

:00:26. > :00:28.The two men, both from the area, remain in hospital.

:00:29. > :00:33.With the first day of competition at the National Eisteddfod in Llanelli

:00:34. > :00:35.underway, there are warnings tonight that council re-organisation could

:00:36. > :00:38.impact how much money the festival gets in the future. Joannna Rowlands

:00:39. > :00:50.A soggy start to Wales's biggest cultural festival but is there

:00:51. > :00:54.another dark cloud looming with a warning tonight that local

:00:55. > :00:58.government we organisation could affect the National Eisteddfod

:00:59. > :01:06.future funding. Its annual budget is ?3.6 million. 9% of that comes from

:01:07. > :01:12.all 22 of Wales' councils. But at the number of councils is reduced

:01:13. > :01:19.and Borders change, there are claims that it may affect the funding. The

:01:20. > :01:26.current scheme allows the macro one -- the National Eisteddfod to go to

:01:27. > :01:30.other places such as Morgan and that has captured the imagination of

:01:31. > :01:34.people in those locations. What that level of support would be, that is a

:01:35. > :01:39.different matter. I think the challenge at the moment is to retain

:01:40. > :01:44.the current level. I think it would be very challenging to try and

:01:45. > :01:49.increase it. At the moment, we have not discussed this at all because I

:01:50. > :01:54.think everybody is waiting to see what happens if reorganisation does

:01:55. > :01:59.happen. Competitions are already well underway with this year's

:02:00. > :02:02.funding firmly secured but it seems inevitable that the question of how

:02:03. > :02:06.the National Eisteddfod get its money in the future will not go away

:02:07. > :02:11.for some time yet. It is taken of the Commonweath

:02:12. > :02:19.Games. Good afternoon. With a day to go,

:02:20. > :02:23.Wales' medal tally stands at 34 but none of them have come from track of

:02:24. > :02:32.field athletes. There is plenty of interest tonight as our reporter now

:02:33. > :02:36.reports. Hampden Park has not been a happy hunting ground. With no medals

:02:37. > :02:40.so far, a review will be carried out after the games. But can Wales

:02:41. > :02:46.flourish on the final night of competition? The women's relay team

:02:47. > :02:49.made it through to the final, eventually. The quartet were

:02:50. > :02:54.initially disqualified for an illegal changeover of the bat on.

:02:55. > :03:01.They demanded a video review and were reinstated. Chris go all was

:03:02. > :03:08.impressive in qualifying and will go into the final. Another Swansea

:03:09. > :03:15.athlete finished ninth in the 10,000 metres. She goes again in the 5000

:03:16. > :03:22.tonight. Elsewhere, Welsh boxers are picking up bronze medals. There is

:03:23. > :03:27.some frustration that not one boxer made it through for a chance to

:03:28. > :03:36.fight for gold. Every boxer wants to win a gold medal. I think the

:03:37. > :03:42.performance was fantastic. Five medals. A great starting point for

:03:43. > :03:46.us. After short break, the women boxers will prepare for the world

:03:47. > :03:48.Championships in November. Then, litigation for the Olympics start

:03:49. > :03:56.early next year. But when -- men and women's cycling

:03:57. > :04:00.happens tomorrow morning. We will have news of that and we will be

:04:01. > :04:04.looking forward to the closing ceremony here tomorrow night. That

:04:05. > :04:14.is all from us here tonight. Back to you.

:04:15. > :04:18.Cricket. The Morgan -- Glamorgan has stopped play because of the weather.

:04:19. > :04:19.Lots Cricket. The Morgan -- Glamorgan has

:04:20. > :04:23.stopped play because of the weather. Lots of the wet stuff around today.

:04:24. > :04:29.You can see the shower free rein swirling around. Also tonight, very

:04:30. > :04:35.breezy for this time of year. The wind is picking up through the

:04:36. > :04:38.night. Temperatures down to 13 or 14 Celsius. Tomorrow morning, still

:04:39. > :04:46.some showery bits and pieces hang around but once it clears, a largely

:04:47. > :04:52.dry day. Maybe one or two showers around. Not too cool. Temperatures

:04:53. > :04:56.in reaching 20 Celsius. Still the south to south-westerly breeze so

:04:57. > :04:59.bright and breezy day for Sunday and fairly decent on Sunday as well

:05:00. > :05:01.before it becomes unsettled again on Tuesday.

:05:02. > :05:05.There is more online stop we are that you have a very good evening,

:05:06. > :05:08.goodbye.
