:00:45. > :00:49.Health Board, and an investigation by South Wales Police.

:00:50. > :00:52.A month after her arrest, two others followed - those nurses

:00:53. > :00:56.also face similar charges, but have yet to enter pleas.

:00:57. > :01:00.Today, Rebecca Jones pleaded guilty to nine counts of wilful neglect -

:01:01. > :01:05.contrary to section 44 of the 2005 Mental Capacity Act.

:01:06. > :01:08.She admitted that she'd falsified the notes showing patients' blood

:01:09. > :01:11.sugar levels while she worked on Ward Two of this hospital -

:01:12. > :01:16.Lilian Williams, a great-grandmother in her eighties,

:01:17. > :01:19.was one of the patients subjected to wilful neglect.

:01:20. > :01:21.Alarm bells first rang about the treatment of vulnerable

:01:22. > :01:26.patients when BBC Wales highlighted her case last year.

:01:27. > :01:29.The public services ombudsman described her care as "tragic".

:01:30. > :01:33.Lilian's family say she'd been sedated against their wishes - and

:01:34. > :01:36.filmed her drugs scattered around the floor of her hospital bed.

:01:37. > :01:39.Lilian's son was at court today to hear the guilty plea.

:01:40. > :02:00.As a result of the problems at the Princess of Wales Hospital,

:02:01. > :02:03.the Welsh Government commissioned an independent review last year.

:02:04. > :02:07.Trusted to Care was published back in May, and it catalogued a series

:02:08. > :02:11.It said there were aspects of care

:02:12. > :02:16.that were simply unacceptable, and needed to be addressed urgently.

:02:17. > :02:18.The Health Board say they've already put robust measures

:02:19. > :02:24.Meanwhile, in total, 15 members of staff have now been suspended while

:02:25. > :02:32.A review is taking place at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital

:02:33. > :02:35.into allegations of bullying in the Accident Emergency Department.

:02:36. > :02:37.It comes after concerns were raised by some members of staff

:02:38. > :02:43.The Cwm Taf University Health Board says it takes any concerns raised

:02:44. > :02:46.by staff seriously, but it cannot comment further while

:02:47. > :02:53.The jail sentence given to the man convicted of killing 6-week

:02:54. > :02:55.old Alfie Sullock is being reviewed by the Attorney General

:02:56. > :03:01.Michael Pearce, who's 33 and from Caerphilly, was jailed

:03:02. > :03:05.for nine years for the manslaughter of his girlfriend's son in July.

:03:06. > :03:11.A decision is expected by the end of the month.

:03:12. > :03:14.The Welsh Conservatives say the First Minister Carwyn Jones

:03:15. > :03:17.should distance himself from 'distasteful' comments made over

:03:18. > :03:23.Mr Jones met Argentina's ambassador, Alicia Castro, to discuss next

:03:24. > :03:28.year's 150th anniversary of Welsh settlers in Patagonia.

:03:29. > :03:31.Ms Castro claimed the settlers' integration disproved "propaganda"

:04:26. > :04:29.infrastructure, or it may actually be damage or worse than that.

:04:30. > :04:35.This is just one element of a mammoth security operation.

:04:36. > :04:40.Police say there is plenty going on behind the scenes, including

:04:41. > :04:43.looking at the Celtic Manor's building plans to check every

:04:44. > :04:48.nook and cranny to see if there is a potential security risk there.

:04:49. > :04:52.This fence has been put up in Bute Park in Cardiff,

:04:53. > :04:55.part of protection for a series of high-level dinners

:04:56. > :04:58.which could be held at landmarks like Cardiff Castle and

:04:59. > :05:02.the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

:05:03. > :05:04.Police divers have already been checking drains around

:05:05. > :05:09.Cardiff Castle for potential threats.

:05:10. > :05:13.These were the scenes at the joint French-German summit in 2009.

:05:43. > :05:45.Today, the NATO Secretary General was in Kiev holding talks ahead

:05:46. > :05:50.Recently, he has spoken about the importance of the summit,

:05:51. > :05:55.saying it will make the alliance fitter, faster and more flexible.

:05:56. > :05:58.One senior Welsh politician thinks any agreement made at the summit

:05:59. > :06:01.could have a lasting legacy for Wales.

:06:02. > :06:05.Should there be a decision, it could well be Wales NATO decision,

:06:06. > :06:08.it could be the Newport NATO decision, or anything else that has

:06:09. > :06:11.come out of the agreement, it is important we make the most of this.

:06:12. > :06:16.It is a strategic conference about all of our defence and security, but

:06:17. > :06:20.it is also locally an exciting opportunity, and it is up to us to

:06:21. > :06:25.The summit is now just four weeks away.

:06:26. > :06:30.There will be protesting lawfully and peacefully against its agenda.

:06:31. > :06:32.But as it draws closer, people in Newport

:06:33. > :06:41.possibly getting a sense of how big this event may be.
