:00:37. > :00:50.Back home in Cardiff, Dr Nathalie MacDermott is reflecting

:00:51. > :00:54.on her recent period in the Liberian capital, Monrovia.

:00:55. > :00:57.Working with the charity Samaritan's Purse, she helped set up

:01:11. > :01:14.It's been a harrowing experience for the young Welsh doctor.

:01:15. > :01:19.Out of the 100 or so patients she helped care for, just the survived.

:01:20. > :01:31.-- just three. He is one of our only surviving patients, he is called

:01:32. > :01:36.William. It is probably one of the most traumatic experiences of my

:01:37. > :01:40.life. It was very challenging to manage so many patients and see so

:01:41. > :01:51.few survive. The trauma to the

:01:52. > :01:53.families of knowing that their loved one had Ebola

:01:54. > :02:12.and the likelihood they would not Today is a miraculous day. I am

:02:13. > :02:16.thrilled to be alive, to be well, and to be reunited with my family.

:02:17. > :02:21.Their illness had repercussions for Dr Nathalie MacDermott, especially

:02:22. > :02:27.as the World Health Organisation has said the bowler outbreak has left an

:02:28. > :02:34.unprecedented number of staff infected. -- in bowler. We work

:02:35. > :02:38.together. It was clear how they had contracted it and because it was

:02:39. > :02:44.unclear, it is quite concerning to us that we may have also had contact

:02:45. > :02:49.with it and I remained isolated the 21 days, way from work and family

:02:50. > :02:57.and friends and any direct physical contact. Today, she started back at

:02:58. > :03:02.the new Natal unit. The next time she is, it'll be for another

:03:03. > :03:05.humanitarian mission rather than a holiday. -- she leaves.

:03:06. > :03:06.Wrexham's Glyndwr University is facing financial uncertainty, just

:03:07. > :03:10.That's the warning tonight from a local AM.

:03:11. > :03:13.The institution is still waiting to find out whether a ban on recruiting

:03:14. > :03:15.overseas students will be lifted, following allegations of visa fraud.

:03:16. > :03:18.The university says it's discussing the issue with UK Visas

:03:19. > :03:36.Answers have to be secure. -- the finances. Without maintaining

:03:37. > :03:39.staffing levels, they will be -- be unable to provide courses and if

:03:40. > :03:41.that happens the whole future of the University is at risk.

:03:42. > :03:44.New figures suggest the number of incidents of hate crime recorded in

:03:45. > :03:48.They were released after a request by Plaid Cymru.

:03:49. > :03:52.There were 1,220 crimes recorded, the majority involving race.

:04:13. > :04:21.The jury is expected to retire to consider its verdicts tomorrow.

:04:22. > :04:23.It may have got noticeably chillier over the last few days,

:04:24. > :04:26.but early indications are this year has been warmly welcomed

:04:27. > :04:33.It's been the second successive summer of largely dry weather and

:04:34. > :04:35.experts say there are now strong signs the industry is growing.

:04:36. > :04:45.Look to North Wales and what you see is innovation, helping to market

:04:46. > :04:50.the country as the go-to destination for fun and adventure.

:04:51. > :04:54.A former slate mine turned into a giant underground trampoline.

:04:55. > :05:00.A quarry boasting the longest zip wire in the northern hemisphere.

:05:05. > :05:06.In Pembrokeshire, one of Wales' top tourism

:05:07. > :05:13.Folly Farm invested ?500,000 in a new pride of lions.

:05:14. > :05:26.Visitor numbers are up and all this interest has helped drive publicity.

:05:27. > :05:33.We have had a lot of feedback on the Facebook page and so many photos

:05:34. > :05:35.that people have posted of Hugo and the Cubs.

:05:36. > :05:38.Visit Wales have not published official figures yet for this

:05:39. > :05:41.summer, but the latest statistics from the first half of the year bode

:05:42. > :05:44.well - there were just over 1.5 million trips made to Wales between

:05:45. > :05:51.January and March 2014, that's up 3.2% from the same period in 2013.

:05:52. > :05:53.And that's impressive because it seems we're bucking

:05:54. > :05:57.the trend - across the whole of Great Britain there was a downturn

:05:58. > :06:07.The dry weather and hot spells mean coastal areas have done best of all,

:06:08. > :06:10.coverage of the winter storms here in Aberystwyth have helped bring

:06:11. > :06:22.A silver lining, a lot of people have been affected badly, but it has

:06:23. > :06:26.drawn a lot of people towards the town. People want to see the before

:06:27. > :06:31.and after and how the town has done. It seems the Wales brand

:06:32. > :06:33.is now clearly emerging. With or without good weather,

:06:34. > :06:35.that's something Football, and Swansea and

:06:36. > :06:41.Cardiff City are through to the third round of the League Cup,

:06:42. > :06:44.after wins for both teams tonight. Despite ten changes to the team, the

:07:06. > :07:08.new Pro 12 season, the Wales star The new agreement

:07:09. > :07:14.which covers regional funding and the release of players is

:07:15. > :07:30.expected to be announced soon. Ultimately, we are prepared as if it

:07:31. > :07:38.is a normal season. I stress it has not been idle deal. -- ideal. It'll

:07:39. > :07:44.be good to have done, as have heard from time that this will be sorted.

:07:45. > :07:48.I commend both times for doing so much, just disappointed it has taken

:07:49. > :07:51.so long. Cricket and England play India

:07:52. > :07:56.tomorrow in Cardiff. There are still tickets available. Glamorgan bosses

:07:57. > :08:04.say they are not disappointed with sales, but a sell-out would boost a

:08:05. > :08:15.-- the chances of getting future internationals. We have seen some

:08:16. > :08:20.and settled conditions. The morning was quite a bright start and then

:08:21. > :08:23.blustery showers developing as we pushed into the afternoon. Let's

:08:24. > :08:29.look at the map and mostly dry across the country, some clear

:08:30. > :08:34.spells, as well. Temperatures fall as low as eight Celsius. A bit lower

:08:35. > :08:38.in the East. Tomorrow morning, West Wales and north-west Wales will see

:08:39. > :08:42.the best of any breaks first thing. Sunny spells will develop, a bit

:08:43. > :08:46.cloudier further East and the north-east. You can see wind arrows,

:08:53. > :08:59.Bank of England remains dry, Scotland has sunny spells,

:09:00. > :09:03.temperatures between 14 and 22 Celsius. Devon and Cornwall serious

:09:04. > :09:08.rain creeping in. That will then reach us. It will then track up to

:09:09. > :09:15.the north-east, quite a multi-day tomorrow. Temperatures reaching 21

:09:16. > :09:20.Celsius. Strong winds and a strong feature tomorrow, especially along

:09:21. > :09:26.coastal parts. The weather front moves East and turns mostly dry and

:09:27. > :09:32.temperatures then between 13 and 16 Celsius with a south-westerly

:09:33. > :09:37.breeze. It will be quite strong. Thursday, a bit of a mixed bag,

:09:46. > :09:49.area of low pressure in charge of our weather. More low pressure on

:09:50. > :09:55.the way in the Atlantic, more rain and hopefully sunshine to come.

:09:56. > :09:58.We're back at breakfast from 6:25am tomorrow.
