:00:28. > :00:35.A time to remember and reflect on the sacrifice of others,

:00:36. > :00:43.at the Welsh National War Memorial in Cardiff.

:00:46. > :00:53.The Last Post sounded here and in ceremonies up and down the country,

:01:17. > :01:20.who laid wreaths, in honour of those who were killed

:01:21. > :01:23.or injured serving their country, not only in past conflicts.

:01:24. > :01:28.And it's encouraging to see that more

:01:29. > :01:34.We know just how important it is, not just to remember those who have

:01:35. > :01:36.fallen in conflicts past but to remember those who are

:01:37. > :01:40.Clifford Shore served in the Royal Regiment of Gunners

:01:41. > :01:51.I am proud that I did what I did and I was in what I was in.

:01:52. > :01:56.And I think of the wonderful crowd of people.

:01:57. > :02:00.And people think very highly of us, which is very nice.

:02:01. > :02:03.We fought for the country to be free.

:02:04. > :02:04.Freedom of thought, freedom of speech,

:02:05. > :02:12.If you don't like something, we are allowed to speak up against it.

:02:13. > :02:14.And that's what we fought for. Not to be downtrodden.

:02:15. > :02:17.In Aberystwyth, white poppy wreaths were included

:02:18. > :02:25.in the official remembrance ceremony for the first time.

:02:26. > :02:34.It was very important. The Aberystwyth peace and justice

:02:35. > :02:38.network had the support of the council since 2004.

:02:39. > :02:42.trying to combine the ceremony so that everything could happen at

:02:43. > :02:45.once, so this year's really, really special that we were able to do it.

:02:46. > :02:48.For many of the current service men and women here today and

:02:49. > :02:51.their families, this is a poignant and at times painful event.

:02:52. > :02:52.But they are encouraged by the presence of

:02:53. > :03:02.so many young people here, that lessons are being passed on.

:04:15. > :04:17.that died, every single family that suffered because of the death

:04:18. > :04:24.I think it's been one of the most horrendous episodes

:04:25. > :04:35.It hugely frustrating and, actually, a disgrace that the Chilcot Inquiry

:04:36. > :04:40.By next summer, it will have dragged on and on, and, for those families,

:04:41. > :04:45.who have lost loved ones in Iraq, I can't really talk about closure,

:04:46. > :04:55.but some kind of resolution to this, understanding, really,

:04:56. > :04:58.why their sons and daughters were lost and suffered in this way.

:04:59. > :05:00.The former Wales assistant manager, Kit Symons,
