:07:42. > :07:47.It's a very big day, because it gives us

:07:48. > :07:50.the vital investment that support is so much of the broadcasting that

:07:51. > :07:53.BBC Wales offers, Radio Wales, Radio Cymru, Wales Today.

:07:54. > :08:01.And we've not been able to invest enough into those vital

:08:06. > :08:10.Let's get the weather forecast with Derek.

:08:11. > :08:13.I think we will need to batten down the hatches again tomorrow.

:08:14. > :08:16.There's more rough weather on the way, another spell of heavy rain,

:08:17. > :08:19.and strong to severe gale force winds. Some rain around tonight, but

:08:20. > :08:22.that will gradually clear, becoming drier, with strong winds in the

:08:23. > :08:24.south which will ease. And then tomorrow, we've got Storm Barney

:08:25. > :08:27.over the Atlantic and that is heading our way. Met Office weather

:08:28. > :08:29.warnings in force, one for heavy rain and another

:08:30. > :08:35.So a relatively quiet start to the day tomorrow, but it won't

:08:36. > :08:38.last. More rain will spill across the country with the wind increasing

:08:39. > :08:41.again, as well. Across the rest of the UK, rain in the West will spread

:08:42. > :08:47.north eastwards during the day. Some heavy rain reaching southern

:08:48. > :08:50.Scotland in the afternoon with a little snow in the Southern uplands

:08:51. > :09:00.and the Pennines. Gale force winds developing across central and

:09:01. > :09:03.southern areas on exposed coasts and hills. Meanwhile, in northern

:09:04. > :09:05.Scotland, drier and brighter and colder, there. Around eight Celsius

:09:06. > :09:08.in Aberdeen. By tomorrow afternoon, rain will have cleared the blustery

:09:09. > :09:11.showers. More rain in the North later on, and the wind becoming a

:09:12. > :09:14.big feature. Strong with gales, even severe gales. Especially on southern

:09:15. > :09:24.and western coasts and hills. And Storm Barney could well bring down a

:09:25. > :09:26.few trees, cause travel disruption and we

:09:27. > :09:29.could see a few power cuts as well. So, stormy by tomorrow

:09:30. > :09:41.more rain and showers spreading across the country

:09:42. > :09:44.with some heavy showers in places, but hopefully, some sunshine

:09:45. > :09:46.in the afternoon. It remains unsettled on Thursday and Friday and

:09:47. > :09:49.over the weekend, we are in for a cold snap and wintry showers.

:09:50. > :10:00.That's Wales Today - thank you for watching.

:10:01. > :10:02.From all of us on the programme, goodnight.
