:01:17. > :01:19.Two of the three nurses who pleaded guilty to neglecting vulnerable
:01:20. > :01:22.patients admit they falsified his blood sugar records.
:01:23. > :01:25.Alun's family is now wondering if his coma was connected to his blood
:01:26. > :01:40.These nurses had to be in the ward for so long, you just came
:01:41. > :01:42.to regard them as friends, then, because they are the support.
:01:43. > :01:44.It is just disbelief. How can somebody do that?
:01:45. > :01:50.After finding out now about what the nurses have done, I was just
:01:51. > :01:53.wondering whether that contributed to him staying in the coma
:01:54. > :01:59.Five nurses were charged with wilful neglect, but the trial of Jade Pugh
:02:00. > :02:02.and Claire Cahill, who both pleaded not guilty, collapsed last month
:02:03. > :02:08.The remaining three - Rebecca Jones, Lauro Bertulano and Natalie Jones -
:02:09. > :02:14.But some families say the neglect at the hospital went
:02:15. > :02:18.They say patients were not given medication and were left without
:02:19. > :02:23.Karen Phillips' mother Sonia was one of the patients involved
:02:24. > :02:27.I could literally see my mother wasting away before
:02:28. > :02:35.I felt it would give me answers and because it collapsed, I don't have
:02:36. > :02:38.those answers and I don't know that I ever will have those answers.
:02:39. > :02:40.Karen Phillips and other relatives want a wide-ranging
:02:41. > :02:45.A review, commissioned by the Welsh Government,
:02:46. > :02:48.was published in May last year and today, the First Minister said
:02:49. > :02:54.We have recognised the issues at Princess of Wales Hospital.
:02:55. > :02:57.That is why of course we commissioned the Andrews Report.
:02:58. > :03:00.That gave us the recommendations that we needed to move forward.
:03:01. > :03:03.They have led to more stringent checks on hospitals,
:03:04. > :03:13.However, the Andrews Review did not take into account patients'
:03:14. > :03:17.The Health Board says it is difficult to say
:03:18. > :03:23.What we are planning to do as soon as the court case is over,
:03:24. > :03:26.we are planning to write to the families affected by that
:03:27. > :03:30.and invite them in - if they want to - to talk to us about concerns.
:03:31. > :03:32.And in that letter, there will be an apology, because
:03:33. > :03:36.But those apologies don't give the much-needed closure that
