:00:00. > :00:09.Father-of-six Peter O'Brien is named as one of two workers killed

:00:10. > :00:12.in an explosion at a steelworks in Cardiff.

:00:13. > :00:17.The company said its thoughts are with the families.

:00:18. > :00:20.Yesterday was a tragic day for all of us.

:00:21. > :00:23.Our Celsa family will grieve together and support each other in

:00:24. > :00:33.The plant is still closed tonight as an investigation continues

:00:34. > :00:55.Visiting Wales for the first time as Labour leader,

:00:56. > :01:00.Jeremy Corbyn says he backs greater freedom for the party here.

:01:01. > :01:03.I look forward to that autonomy that will come forward, but obviously has

:01:04. > :01:05.to be agreed through the Labour Party structures.

:01:06. > :01:18.I am not the control of the party. -- controller.

:01:19. > :01:20.Private Gavin Williams died after a punishment exercise.

:01:21. > :01:24.An inquest hears army medics didn't consider him to be an

:01:25. > :01:26.It promised backers tiny drone cameras.

:01:27. > :01:28.Now Trading Standards look into the collapse of

:01:29. > :01:39.And, it's Wales' first Food Assembly, connecting people with

:01:40. > :01:48.The two men who died in an explosion at the Celsa steelworks

:01:49. > :01:53.in Cardiff yesterday have been named as Peter O'Brien and Mark Sim.

:01:54. > :01:55.Tributes have been paid to the men, who were both engineers

:01:56. > :02:02.The company says supporting their families, and those of the injured,

:02:03. > :02:08.Laying flowers for two popular colleagues and family men,

:02:09. > :02:15.51-year-old Peter O'Brien was married with six children.

:02:16. > :02:19.He was part of a large and close Cardiff family,

:02:20. > :02:23.and was the founder and club champion of St Peter's Bowls Club.

:02:24. > :02:25.His neighbours in Llanishen have been speaking

:02:26. > :02:40.Only been living here about 12 months, we have come from the West

:02:41. > :02:41.Country, so we are very out of our comfort zone, and they were the

:02:42. > :02:43.first to welcome us. Frederick and Anita Davies

:02:44. > :02:57.have lived opposite the O'Brien Terrible, it was really awful. My

:02:58. > :03:04.neighbour across the road came, last night, wasn't it? I just couldn't

:03:05. > :03:08.take it in. He was in this terrible explosion, it was awful. We have

:03:09. > :03:13.known him 22 years, since they came to live here. A very nice man, the

:03:14. > :03:22.rock of his family, as I said, so I am assuming modest in his approach

:03:23. > :03:23.to life. Very helpful to his neighbours, couldn't do enough for

:03:24. > :03:26.them at times. In Caldicot tonight there is

:03:27. > :03:28.another family in mourning. 41-year-old Mark Sim was married

:03:29. > :03:41.with two young children, and was To think that you go to work and you

:03:42. > :03:46.don't come home, it is very difficult to get your mind around

:03:47. > :03:52.that, it is just an awful, awful tragedy, and I am sure everybody in

:03:53. > :03:54.Caldicot will rally around Mark's family.

:03:55. > :03:58.Both men were killed in an explosion in the basement of the rolling mill

:03:59. > :04:01.Today, fire and police search teams were back

:04:02. > :04:04.on site to continue the operation to recover the two men's bodies.

:04:05. > :04:06.Earlier, the company's UK Chief Executive emerged from

:04:07. > :04:10.the site, flanked by colleagues, to offer their condolences.

:04:11. > :04:21.Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the families and loved ones

:04:22. > :04:27.of those who passed away, and were injured, in yesterday's tragic

:04:28. > :04:37.incident. Supporting each family is our absolute priority. Yesterday, it

:04:38. > :04:40.was a tragic day for all of us. Our Celsa family will grieve together

:04:41. > :04:43.and support each other in the days, weeks and months ahead.

:04:44. > :04:46.Three of the four people who were treated in hospital yesterday

:04:47. > :04:52.Colleagues are still trying to come to terms with what's happened.

:04:53. > :05:02.We were in work last night, over at the site, and we were still

:05:03. > :05:05.producing, the mill was stopped by senior management to explain the

:05:06. > :05:11.situation and told us what they knew they could tell us, they let the

:05:12. > :05:19.workforce no, and basically shut the rest of the evening. Operation is

:05:20. > :05:25.remain suspended at the plant while the investigation continues. Celsa

:05:26. > :05:27.says it will try to avoid another day like yesterday.

:05:28. > :05:29.It's not yet known when the plant will reopen.

:05:30. > :05:32.The company says its priority is to support the families of

:05:33. > :05:49.It has been an emotional day here, as unions and colleagues have paid

:05:50. > :05:54.tribute to the two men who died. You saw a genuine sense of grief and

:05:55. > :05:59.loss expressed by the neighbours of Peter O'Brien, and you get a real

:06:00. > :06:02.sense of two families and communities in mourning. The

:06:03. > :06:06.investigation is continuing, and the recovery operation is continuing,

:06:07. > :06:11.and while we have been on air, fire engine has gone into the plant

:06:12. > :06:15.might. So you get the feeling that this is painstaking and difficult

:06:16. > :06:22.work in very challenging circumstances. Everybody agrees this

:06:23. > :06:25.cannot and should not be rushed. We have no date yet as to when the

:06:26. > :06:28.plant will reopen. But everybody agrees the priority must be to

:06:29. > :06:31.support the bereaved families and those who are injured and their

:06:32. > :06:35.families, and everybody affected by this tragedy.

:06:36. > :06:38.On his first visit to Wales since becoming Labour leader,

:06:39. > :06:40.Jeremy Corbyn has said the party is united, despite

:06:41. > :06:54.He said they will be united in the run-up to the AM elections. -- the

:06:55. > :06:55.assembly elections. Mr Corbyn also said there was no

:06:56. > :06:58.problem with giving the Welsh Labour Party more freedom,

:06:59. > :07:01.stating that he was the party's Our Political Editor Nick Servini

:07:02. > :07:12.has been speaking to him. It was a lively backdrop. Amani

:07:13. > :07:14.students at Swansea University's new A campus celebrated their annual

:07:15. > :07:20.festival before the arrival of Jeremy Corbyn. -- a campus. The last

:07:21. > :07:25.time he was in Wales, Jeremy Corbyn was a candidate in a contest in

:07:26. > :07:29.which he began as the rank outsider. He now returns for the first time as

:07:30. > :07:33.leader of the Labour Party. He came to meet the man in charge of the

:07:34. > :07:39.Labour Party in Wales, the First Minister Carwyn Jones. They have

:07:40. > :07:43.very different styles of leadership. But their futures are intertwined.

:07:44. > :07:47.Jeremy Corbyn has more than a passing interest in how Labour fares

:07:48. > :07:54.next year, at a time when most Labour MPs did not want him in

:07:55. > :07:58.charge, it could be crucial to his survival. The election for the Welsh

:07:59. > :08:02.Assembly, the Scottish Parliament, and the London mayor, the first

:08:03. > :08:07.really big tests on the horizon. It is unclear how much we will see of

:08:08. > :08:11.him in Wales over the next few months, but he wants to play an

:08:12. > :08:14.active part in the campaign. Labour succeeds together in all parts of

:08:15. > :08:19.the UK. I will be campaigning in parts of the UK, of course I will be

:08:20. > :08:22.campaigning in Wales, I will also be campaigning as Colin, this is a big

:08:23. > :08:25.electoral possibility for Labour next year to show that we are

:08:26. > :08:29.gaining support and that the increased membership of the party,

:08:30. > :08:35.now nearly 400,000, mean something on the ground. His visit comes after

:08:36. > :08:39.a difficult week in which you with openly criticised by a number of his

:08:40. > :08:42.own MPs. The infighting may be at Westminster, but it poses a problem

:08:43. > :08:48.for Welsh Labour planning an election campaign. It is important

:08:49. > :08:52.that all party members, bear in mind that we have these elections, and to

:08:53. > :08:57.be very careful not to say anything which jeopardises our chances. How

:08:58. > :09:00.do you feel about Labour MPs when they openly criticise Jeremy Corbyn,

:09:01. > :09:05.it is not very helpful for you? It is never helpful when you get that

:09:06. > :09:08.kind of open public criticism, it is not helpful particularly for the

:09:09. > :09:12.party, that is what we have got to remember, and the people who vote

:09:13. > :09:15.for us. The message went down well with the engineers at the University

:09:16. > :09:21.today. Now the job is to try and have the same impact on the wider

:09:22. > :09:24.electorate. This has come at a difficult time for the Labour

:09:25. > :09:29.leader? Indeed, he had a bumpy ride this week, all about his response to

:09:30. > :09:34.defence and security issues in the wake of the Paris attacks. It was

:09:35. > :09:38.interesting today, you get the sense of the two different wings of the

:09:39. > :09:42.Labour Party, UK Labour and Welsh Labour. Welsh Labour prides itself

:09:43. > :09:45.on being disciplined party. The UK Labour Party is anything but

:09:46. > :09:55.disciplined at the moment. And frankly, some of the people in the

:09:56. > :09:57.Welsh party I speak to terms with that at times. The best example this

:09:58. > :10:01.week, Wayne David, Labour, Caerphilly MP, openly criticising

:10:02. > :10:05.Jeremy Corbyn, saying he has a heck of a lot to do. Jeremy Corbyn said

:10:06. > :10:09.today, we are great friends and we will have a cup of tea next week,

:10:10. > :10:12.but behind-the-scenes there are serious concerns. One senior

:10:13. > :10:18.official told me that very direct, is Asians are being had between

:10:19. > :10:26.Welsh Labour -- very direct conversations are being had. They

:10:27. > :10:30.are aware of is the Assembly elections. Many people would like

:10:31. > :10:33.the Assembly elections be all about evolved services, but there is an

:10:34. > :10:37.acknowledgement that politics in Wales does not exist in a bubble, it

:10:38. > :10:42.is directly affected by what goes on at Westminster.

:10:43. > :10:45.A pre-inquest hearing has heard that phone calls were made to police

:10:46. > :10:47.about a convoy of cars before a crash which killed four people.

:10:48. > :10:50.Teenagers Alesha O'Connor, Rhodri Miller, and Corey Price from

:10:51. > :10:52.Barry, and 68-year-old Margaret Challis, died following the incident

:10:53. > :10:57.The inquest, scheduled for February next year, will question whether the

:10:58. > :11:05.The family of a 20-year-old man who died days after being sent home from

:11:06. > :11:09.Wrexham Maelor Hospital have been awarded a five-figure settlement.

:11:10. > :11:13.Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board admitted liability for

:11:14. > :11:16.He had been suffering from sinusitis,

:11:17. > :11:25.Wales' Finance Minister has said the Chancellor must deliver on

:11:26. > :11:29.a promise of fair funding for Wales in his spending review next week.

:11:30. > :11:32.Jane Hutt made the call in a speech to local council

:11:33. > :11:34.leaders, where she said public services faced pressure from

:11:35. > :11:42.We have estimated that pressures on all our public services in Wales

:11:43. > :11:47.amount over the next three years to ?1 billion.

:11:48. > :11:51.So, you know, that is the context in which we are also facing the cuts.

:11:52. > :11:55.And let's remember that the Chancellor said ?37 billion are

:11:56. > :11:57.going to be found in this spending review.

:11:58. > :11:59.And those unprotected areas, like local government,

:12:00. > :12:06.are the areas of course where there is great uncertainty.

:12:07. > :12:09.A doctor has told the inquest into the death of a Welsh soldier

:12:10. > :12:11.that the sergeants who brought him to the medical centre withheld

:12:12. > :12:16.Dr Mark Derbyshire said he thought Gavin Williams had

:12:17. > :12:19.a psychiatric problem rather than a physical one, because he hadn't

:12:20. > :12:26.The 22-year-old later died of heat-stroke at Lucknow Barracks.

:12:27. > :12:33.Private Gavin Williams died serving with the 2nd Battalion the

:12:34. > :12:38.It was during intensive exercise, on one of the hottest days of 2006,

:12:39. > :12:44.It was his punishment for bad behaviour.

:12:45. > :12:47.He collapsed in the heat, and was taken to this medical centre

:12:48. > :12:52.Dr Rowena French was in that medical centre, and saw

:12:53. > :13:04.She told the coroner today that, "it wasn't portrayed to me at the time

:13:05. > :13:07.as being any great emergency by the people who brought Gavin in".

:13:08. > :13:08.Nobody told her about him collapsing earlier,

:13:09. > :13:11.that he was sweating profusely and was probably dehydrated.

:13:12. > :13:13.Had she been told all that, she said, then heatstroke would

:13:14. > :13:19.Duty Doctor Mark Darbyshire told the coroner he tried to treat

:13:20. > :13:21.Private Williams in this room, but his patient was aggressive

:13:22. > :13:31.The sergeants who brought Gavin in hadn't told this doctor either

:13:32. > :13:34.that he had collapsed earlier in the day and may have heatstroke.

:13:35. > :13:47.Gavin was later resuscitated by Dr Darbyshire.

:13:48. > :13:50.This CCTV shows him being taken to hospital, where he suffered heart

:13:51. > :14:02.The drug ecstasy was found in his blood when he died.

:14:03. > :14:06.As Gavin's family watched on in court today, the doctor who

:14:07. > :14:11.treated him, Mark Darbyshire, said, "on a personal level as well,

:14:12. > :14:14.where I have treated patients in the past who have died, the discussion

:14:15. > :14:22.He went on to say that there are probably many reasons for that, but

:14:23. > :14:26.no doubts about it, we should make some effort to sit and speak to the

:14:27. > :14:35.That is what we do with anyone else who dies."

:14:36. > :14:37.The army says it has reviewed the incident several times.

:14:38. > :14:42.Keith Hick was one of the crowd-funders who lost out

:14:43. > :14:46.Now there are complaints to Trading Standards.

:14:47. > :14:48.And, connecting food producers with their community.

:14:49. > :15:02.The new scheme to keep money in the local area.

:15:03. > :15:09.Extra refugees from war-torn Syria will soon be arriving in Wales.

:15:10. > :15:13.Tonight, a charity is warning the Welsh Government's response to the

:15:14. > :15:18.crisis is too narrow. The Government setup that Syrian refugee task force

:15:19. > :15:22.in September. But the Welsh Refugee Council said a 2 tier system will

:15:23. > :15:28.emerge unless it also deals with refugees and asylum seekers already

:15:29. > :15:31.here. Here is our political reporter Paul Martin. Images of the European

:15:32. > :15:35.migrant crisis dominated the summer's news. The sight of people

:15:36. > :15:42.fleeing their home countries led to calls for the authorities here to

:15:43. > :15:46.take more refugees. The Prime Minister David Cameron then extended

:15:47. > :15:52.a specific scheme. We refugees, saying Britain will take up to

:15:53. > :15:56.20,000 -- for Syrian refugees. At a summit in September, the Welsh

:15:57. > :16:04.Tubman created a Syrian refugee task force to coordinate how councils

:16:05. > :16:08.will handle Wales' shared -- Welsh Refugee Council. A charity, the

:16:09. > :16:14.Welsh Refugee Council, said the task force should be focusing on a bigger

:16:15. > :16:19.number of people. The 3000 refugees and asylum seekers already here in

:16:20. > :16:27.Wales. That political response is a narrow focus on the needs of a small

:16:28. > :16:31.number of refugees through the Syrian vulnerable persons'

:16:32. > :16:36.relocation, we need that response to expand to include all the siren

:16:37. > :16:40.seekers and refugees currently living and abiding in Wales. People

:16:41. > :16:45.like Mohammed, from Syria, who says he is homeless while he waits for

:16:46. > :16:48.his asylum claim to be decided. I don't have anything to support

:16:49. > :16:54.myself, I am just going from place to place, to the charities, the

:16:55. > :16:59.organisations, to feed myself. It has made me feel that I am not

:17:00. > :17:03.welcome here. I put the concerns to the Minister in charge. The Welsh

:17:04. > :17:07.Refugee Council set on the task force, they have a place around the

:17:08. > :17:11.table, they sit on the operations board, we are doing other things in

:17:12. > :17:15.relations to that. This task was very specifically in relation to the

:17:16. > :17:18.scheme that was announced by the Prime Minister in September. The

:17:19. > :17:22.Welsh Government said it is reflecting on the wider lessons of

:17:23. > :17:28.the current crisis and is working on plans to approve support for all

:17:29. > :17:32.people seeking factory in Wales. A Conservative AM forced to face a

:17:33. > :17:38.ballot of party members has come top of the regional list for next

:17:39. > :17:41.year's Assembly elections. It prompted an open contest in

:17:42. > :17:47.south-east Wales. Tonight it was announced he had topped the poll. A

:17:48. > :17:50.second AM forced to follow the same procedure has finished outside of

:17:51. > :17:55.the top four, meaning he is effectively deselected.

:17:56. > :17:57.Pembrokeshire Council has confirmed that its Trading Standards officials

:17:58. > :17:59.have received complaints following the collapse of one of Europe's

:18:00. > :18:10.Earlier today they visited the headquarters of the Zano project

:18:11. > :18:12.impairment but box. Top up -- in Pembroke Dock.

:18:13. > :18:14.The Zano project promised backers mini-drone cameras which could be

:18:15. > :18:17.But the project, based in Pembroke Dock, has collapsed.

:18:18. > :18:19.This pocket-sized Zano drone promised so much,

:18:20. > :18:23.The promotional video used by Talking Group describes how

:18:24. > :18:25.the mini-drone can capture stunning images and deliver them to

:18:26. > :18:28.It enticed thousands to invest in the product through the crowdfunding

:18:29. > :18:38.website Kickstarter, including one self-confessed gadget nerd.

:18:39. > :18:40.I looked at the website and I thought,

:18:41. > :18:43.The videos there showed the thing flying, and

:18:44. > :18:46.the capabilities they were saying it was going to give were fantastic,

:18:47. > :18:49.After months of waiting, and spending almost ?300

:18:50. > :18:51.on his mini-drone, Keith eventually received his Zano.

:18:52. > :18:55.There was nothing with it, apart from the bits I had ordered,

:18:56. > :19:01.There was no software disc or anything like that at all.

:19:02. > :19:08.So I contacted them again and I said, yes, the app is available, but

:19:09. > :19:14.it was for an Android, and I haven't got an Android phone or anything.

:19:15. > :19:21.So I was still stuck with the drone, which is basically useless.

:19:22. > :19:24.Thousands of people worldwide had invested more than ?2 million

:19:25. > :19:28.in the Zano drone, developed here by the company at the Bridge

:19:29. > :19:33.But in recent months, many of its financial backers have been

:19:34. > :19:36.questioning their investment, and asking the company why they still

:19:37. > :19:44.As news reached investors of the company's recent fate,

:19:45. > :19:47.many have taken to Kickstarter to vent their frustration.

:19:48. > :19:57.Kickstarter says creators on the website have a remarkable track

:19:58. > :20:02.record, but there are no guarantees that a project will work out.

:20:03. > :20:05.There is always a risk when you are buying something that doesn't exist,

:20:06. > :20:07.like you are at Kickstarter, that that something wouldn't

:20:08. > :20:15.actually appear, unfortunately, as they found with this company.

:20:16. > :20:17.Had they gone through the equity crowdfunding route,

:20:18. > :20:20.which is a different route, they would have been far more

:20:21. > :20:25.stringently looked at before they had been able to raise money.

:20:26. > :20:27.Talking Group has informed its creditors that insolvency

:20:28. > :20:31.practitioners will contact them next week.

:20:32. > :20:34.It is a disappointing end for a business plan that never quite

:20:35. > :20:41.Over the past two days, a Cardiff Mosque has welcomed over 650 primary

:20:42. > :20:45.school pupils from across the capital in an effort to break what

:20:46. > :20:50.The event at the Dar Ul-Isra Centre has been using interactive workshops

:20:51. > :20:57.According to the Mosque's Outreach Manager, they've had

:20:58. > :21:03.We were really concerned that the last weekend's incidents might

:21:04. > :21:07.But actually, because we live in a very metropolitan city, the parents

:21:08. > :21:10.were quite open to it, and they encouraged them to come and learn

:21:11. > :21:14.And the kids are coming in with open minds, you can hear

:21:15. > :21:19.What that does is it just goes away and reinforces a positive impression

:21:20. > :21:25.of Islam, and then they can take that forward into their lives.

:21:26. > :21:27.Football, and Swansea City manager Garry Monk has claimed speculation

:21:28. > :21:30.about his future in the job is being caused by people

:21:31. > :21:36.Going into this weekend, and the visit of Bournemouth in the Premier

:21:37. > :21:42.League, the Swans have won just one of their last nine matches.
