0:00:43 > 0:00:44River Tawe.

0:00:44 > 0:00:47Since Sunday afternoon, around a mile and a half stretch

0:00:47 > 0:00:50of the river has been searched both on and off the water.

0:01:04 > 0:01:06along the river.

0:01:06 > 0:01:12The witness was concerned due to the intoxicated manner of Jordan.

0:01:12 > 0:01:17That gave them cause for concern for them and following him

0:01:17 > 0:01:19because they were concerned about his safety.

0:01:19 > 0:01:21A team of police divers have been searching

0:01:21 > 0:01:24this stretch of the River Tawe for most of the morning.

0:01:24 > 0:01:27It wasn't far from here that Jordan Miers was last seen

0:01:27 > 0:01:30just after ten o'clock on Saturday night.

0:01:30 > 0:01:33It's believed he was planning to walk home, just a couple of miles

0:01:33 > 0:01:37up the road to Bonymaen but he didn't make it back

0:01:37 > 0:01:41and there are still very few clues as to what has happened.

0:01:41 > 0:01:44A university graduate and a youth coach at a local football club,

0:01:44 > 0:01:48those who know him best have described Jordan as a popular

0:01:48 > 0:01:50and unassuming young man.

0:01:50 > 0:01:53His disappearance they say is completely out of character.

0:01:53 > 0:01:57He is described as being over six foot tall and on Saturday night

0:01:57 > 0:01:59he was wearing light blue jeans, a blue shirt under

0:01:59 > 0:02:02a burgundy jumper and tan leather shoes.

0:02:02 > 0:02:05During the past few days friends of Jordan's family have also joined

0:02:05 > 0:02:07officers as searches have

0:02:07 > 0:02:11taken place near the river and in the wider area.

0:02:11 > 0:02:14We'll continue to search in the short-term aroud that area

0:02:14 > 0:02:18to make sure we have covered each of the areas we need to.

0:02:18 > 0:02:21Obviously, we are appealing for information for further

0:02:21 > 0:02:26sightings of him and on that evening, which would allow us

0:02:26 > 0:02:28to concentrate our search on potentially other areas

0:02:28 > 0:02:30that he may be as well.

0:02:30 > 0:02:34For those who know Jordan best it is an extremely difficult time.

0:02:34 > 0:02:37As the hours go by the concern for his well-being

0:02:37 > 0:02:40continues to grow.

0:02:40 > 0:02:44A body has been discovered following a fire at a workshop in Rhyl.

0:02:44 > 0:02:47Emergency crews were called to the building on Vale Road just

0:02:47 > 0:02:49before five o'clock this evening.

0:03:03 > 0:03:04serious head injuries.

0:03:04 > 0:03:08The remains which were found near Cerrigydrudion in November

0:03:08 > 0:03:11are believed to have been there for several years and belonged

0:03:11 > 0:03:13to a man in his fifties.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16The number of families asking for help following adoption

0:03:16 > 0:03:18here is rising.

0:03:18 > 0:03:20That's according to figures seen by BBC Wales.

0:03:20 > 0:03:24Around 400 children were adopted in the last year and with more

0:03:24 > 0:03:27people coming forward to adopt there are concerns it's too

0:03:27 > 0:03:29difficult to access services like counselling.

0:03:29 > 0:03:32One mother, who did not want to be identified,

0:03:32 > 0:03:35has spoken about the battles she faced to prevent her

0:03:35 > 0:03:39relationship with her son breaking down completely.

0:03:39 > 0:03:41Would get kicked and punched and head-butted and all

0:03:41 > 0:03:44that kind of stuff quite regularly.

0:03:44 > 0:03:47A lot of other adoptive parents I know

0:03:47 > 0:03:51say they find the same thing, they feel they have got to battle

0:03:51 > 0:03:52for any kind of services.

0:03:52 > 0:03:56When you're already really stressed and struggling at home you just have

0:03:56 > 0:03:59another battle but this time with professionals to tray and get

0:03:59 > 0:04:02the help that you need.

0:04:02 > 0:04:06More people in Powys could end up needing a so-called pauper's funeral

0:04:06 > 0:04:09because burials will be too expensive.

0:04:09 > 0:04:11That's the warning from local undertakers as the council prepares

0:04:11 > 0:04:15to increase its charges for a typical adult burial by 65%

0:04:15 > 0:04:17on the first of January.

0:04:17 > 0:04:21The authority says it has no other option, as it tries to raise money

0:04:21 > 0:04:24in the face of budget cuts.

0:04:24 > 0:04:27A National Planetarium and Observatory for Wales could be

0:04:27 > 0:04:30built on the former site of the Maerdy colliery

0:04:30 > 0:04:31in the Rhondda.

0:04:31 > 0:04:33Experts say the area benefits from its proximity

0:04:33 > 0:04:37to the Brecon Beacons which has designated Dark Skies status.

0:04:37 > 0:04:41If it goes ahead it could create more than 60 jobs.

0:04:41 > 0:04:46Lifeboat volunteers based in St Asaph who saved two little

0:04:46 > 0:04:49boys from their flooded bungalow in the middle of the night,

0:04:49 > 0:04:52have been back to give them a very special Christmas present.

0:04:52 > 0:04:55Five-year-old Sebastian and his three-year-old brother Jacob

0:05:00 > 0:05:02One of them was sleeping through it.

0:05:02 > 0:05:04We had to wake them up.

0:05:04 > 0:05:08Yes, at first they didn't want to come with us but once one

0:05:08 > 0:05:11of the lads promised them helmets and a ride

0:05:11 > 0:05:14in the tractor they were quite happy to come.

0:05:14 > 0:05:18The Cardiff Devils remain at the top of ice hockey's Elite League

0:05:18 > 0:05:22despite losing 2-0 against the Belfast Giants tonight.

0:05:22 > 0:05:24The Devils are now just three points clear of the Nottingham Panthers

0:05:24 > 0:05:28in the table.

0:05:28 > 0:05:31Let's see how the weather is shaping up as we head towards Christmas.

0:05:31 > 0:05:32Here's Derek.

0:05:33 > 0:05:35We enjoyed some better weather today.

0:05:51 > 0:05:55Over Christmas Eve, a wet and windy start first thing

0:05:55 > 0:05:59but the rain will clear durng the morning and then it

0:05:59 > 0:06:00will brighten up with some sunshine but

0:06:00 > 0:06:02a few sharp showers.

0:06:02 > 0:06:05Across the rest of the UK tomorrow, a band of heavy

0:06:05 > 0:06:09rain and gusty winds will move eastwards and clear.

0:06:09 > 0:06:12Behind that, brighter skies, sunshine and scattered showers.

0:06:12 > 0:06:16Severe gales in the far north and north-west of Scotland

0:06:16 > 0:06:18and the showers wintry on high ground,

0:06:18 > 0:06:20especially in the north.

0:06:20 > 0:06:24Temperatures only six Celsius in Belfast, 13 in London.

0:06:24 > 0:06:26In Wales tomorrow afternoon, a mixture of sunshine and showers.

0:06:26 > 0:06:31Some showers heavy and cold enough on the high ground for a little snow

0:06:31 > 0:06:33on the Brecon Beacons.

0:06:33 > 0:06:35It will feel chilly tomorrow with a gusty

0:06:35 > 0:06:38south-westerly wind, 8-11 Celsius.

0:06:38 > 0:06:41On Christmas Eve night some more showers

0:06:50 > 0:06:53but more rain will spread from the south, some heavy bursts

0:06:53 > 0:06:54of rain likely.

0:06:54 > 0:06:58After a chilly start it will turn milder but windy again.

0:06:58 > 0:07:02Boxing Day will continue mild and windy, further outbreaks

0:07:02 > 0:07:03of rain and drizzle.

0:07:03 > 0:07:07There is some risk of heavy rain and further flooding in parts

0:07:07 > 0:07:08of the north and north-west.

0:07:08 > 0:07:11So, it would be worth keeping a close eye on the forecast
